Ergo, the first covenant is material, and the second is spiritual. I did not initiate love, because God is love and God made me. Not only that, but: "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35). The bible literally says what the new covenant version of circumcision is. The way to know someone was a Jew, was by their corporeal circumcision, and the way to know someone is a Christian is by their spiritual circumcision.

Jesus said that the whole law is fulfilled by loving God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. So, since love is the fulfillment of the law, and the fulfillment of the law is counted as circumcision, love is the circumcision of the new covenant.

Saying that baptism saves in the reformed world does not mean the same thing that it means in the roman catholic or the lutheran world, but the sacraments are "effectual means of salvation" when we receive them in faith.
