NYXBAR I'm in JROTC and we bought a bunch of MREs because we thought it would be fun for all of us to eat them on our trip to port aransas. Some of them were freaking amazing but others tasted like bad baby food. 😂 They are a pain to open.
TheAlphaLupus you can get them on base the same way you can get a burger on base. Civilians can even buy them at a normal grocery store here in Texas. We aren't at war, we don't have so many people in the feild that MREs are reserved.
As an active military soldier, I find this episode very funny! And you don't always get candy but we always traded. Y'all are too funny while making this!!! I love it!!
As former military, I was laughing at their ineptitude in just opening an MRE bag. I found it entertaining as I knew how to prepare them from experience and ewww, really? Toilet water? That's just gross.
Whenever there is a hurricane, they have red cross shelters that will hand out boxes of MRES to eat. I remember how i usually had a shit ton left over after so I would eat them for lunch. They are actually pretty good.
Wow everyone super salty in the comments. They aren't in the armed forces of course they don't know what MREs are, I didn't until I dated someone in the army. And now everyone's upset because they're saying it's gross when they are meant to be for nourishment during active duty. Fun fact: they aren't on active duty, they're trying it to see what they taste like.
Alex Roth I agree my son in law is in the army currently and he's always bringing MRE's to other son and daughter they love them... If your not use to them you would react like that....

He is currently a contractor working out of an Air Force base and the two of you did just as well with the MRE as some Airmen!

My girlfriend is a Marine and she said you are to get water from a stream and use the chlorine tablet to purify it. Not from the toilet bowl. The toilet bowl water already has chlorine in it. lol. Also. Each MRE has about 2,000 calories. Good thing you guys didn't eat the whole thing.
Same, after Katrina and Ike we went without power for weeks so we couldn't cook and even if we could we couldn't afford groceries because we spent all our money fleeing. I actually grew to love MREs especially the vegetarian ones.
this sounds really weird but I have a lot of food in my basement just in case anything bad happens (ex: hurricane) so if a hurricane were to hit where I live and it doesn't ruin our basement, we would have food
i just realized that when the burger drops in the cheat day theme song thingy, the burger's buns are made out of donuts. also i just realized that eat day is underlined in cheat day... cheat day has been a show for like a year and i just realized those things👍🏻😂

You also get these when you go through a natural disaster. I lived through hurricane Gustav and in my area we were the lucky ones that lost power for nine days. But... we were going through a nasty triple digit heat wave, so it was a very hard 9 days. Baton Rouge, Louisiana had to live without power for about a month. But, we had MRE's to get us through. There were good ones and some were not as good, but I do thank the government for giving us these. It really helped get us through that hard time.
