I can't wait for Ksp 2 mainly because of multiplayer, but i feel like it will be created in more like co-op style.However they announced more support for mods, which can create a lot of new possibilities.
Honestly the usage of the little "i" popup at 2:00 is perhaps the most original one to date. I mean, most people just edit in some text or record extra voicelines in post production but NO, chad smithson used the popup to point out an important detail AND to be funny at the same time
GPS coordinates are shared amongst a team, so you could use a "spotter" of some description to take the coordinates, and then fire the cruise missiles using them. As far as I'm aware though, using the FLIR targeting ball in this way is the only way to get those coordinates in the first place.
I'll have to check, but for laser guidance I think its max range is about 13km. I'm pretty sure it can lock and give you GPS coordinates from further away, but you'll have difficulty finding the targets in the viewing window even at max zoom.
I personally would have tried ripping the ground things with guns, would that work well? And what about those big cilinders with like 10 missiles in them, you would be able to barrage them with a nearly endless amount of missiles...
I can not get anything else then machine guns to fire on the airplane... Some say you must configure trigger group for bombs and rockets to work but no one say HOW or where to do that. Also I did get rockets and bombs to work on one of my many creations, and also got rockets and bombs working when turning on and of guard mode. There is also a problem that when I hit something with the machine-guns it stops shooting and you must switch to another weapon and back to continue shooting.
For bombs and missiles you need to arm the trigger, the button on the top left of the weapon manager window as you're flying. With the machine guns, have you checked whether they're overheating? A little red warning bar will appear next to the staging icons when this happens.
@@SonofSmith When overheating they will shoot again automatically when cold enough. It seems to be some kind of bug interacting with other mods, after I deleted some mods I got rockets and bombs working but they are very slow to react, you must hold the fire button for more then 1 second. And still it has problem with that guns stop working the instant you hit a target. Think I will have to try delete all other mods and install them one by one to find the one interacting badly.
There is no ground computer thingy now... how do I make ground target that will fire back at me? Also I can’t spawn another plane with the mover thing mod... and the missiles and bombs won’t fire with my lmb.. please help me
The basics haven't really changed since this vid. I did a version for air to air stuff (including guns), should be before this one in my tutorials playlist.

Could you use these from near orbit around a no atmospheric celeatial body? Because im think about some sort of orbital GPS/FLIR launch platform.

Aim120 has a g to a variant in real life so it works well

There are some visual mods that are known to cause problems with the FLIR targeting display, can't remember which ones specifically.

Usually a mod conflict with a graphical mod like Scatterer.
I installed it correctly, it says I have no weapons manager. then I tried Ckan, same thing. "No weapons manager found" Please help.

Is there a button that drops the bombs?
It should fire by holding left click. Make sure you have the trigger set to armed (one of the buttons at the top of the BDA window).
