Hat Trick Productions is a British independent production company that produces television programmes, mainly specialising in comedy.
I love how it’s a direct contrast between the end of the first season where the girls are dancing all happy on the stage while the parents were watching a bombing on TV.
Now the girls are angry on stage while the parents are happy celebrating.
I love Orla and her grandpa eating their popcorn while they watch the show.
That's very much their dynamic whilst they watch Erin and her mother have their own "mishaps"
You can deffo see where orla and Sarah get it from lol especially when the family go to the seaside resort and the granddad is on the rollercoaster with the surfboard in its own seat next to him….
I love how they mix comedy with emotion, it goes from the Girls and James' teenage drama to a groundbreaking announcement which is far more important yet the teenage drama is funny because it's so pointless in comparison to the ceasefire.
It is a metaphor for Northen Ireland the scene on the stage. They all have blood in their hands and n Ireland is in the middle.
i love how sister michael raises her glass when she hears about the ceasefire 4:53
I love it when they announce the cease fire another lot of troubles breaks out at the prom there is peace in the streets but fighting at the prom that’s why Derry girls is so funny
and the opposite happens at the end of s1 when there is report of some tragic deaths but all of them are dancing on the stage, happy.
I love this ending with Zombie playing in the background, just like the season 1 finale but opposite reactions.
So emotional when Zombie starts playing 💚
And I even love Clare's line expand and explain line too.
I like how the school decided to crown their prom queen and then play The Winner Takes it All.
I also feel bad for jenny joyce, you can see that she was really happy here. And despite being their rival they still tried to save her.
She’s nice when Claire’s dad dies, I think the idea is that she’s annoying, but not really a bad person ;)
Lol Claire having someone in a headlock is iconic!!
It makes perfect sense that Erin and Michelle are angrily choke-holding Jenny and Aisling at their prom while the rest of Derry is celebrating over a ceasefire being announced.
The season 1 ending had the girls being happy but the rest of Derry being sad, so it was a nice flip ;)
This is set around 96, so James has the Doctor Who revival series to look forward to, maybe he’ll watch it his kid like with his step-dad and hopefully get the girls to love English and sci-fi stuff.
Erin reminiscing about him leaving his creep convention for her ;)
James, have you ever seen Carrie, he’s so innocent.
The ending literally made me cry, such a horrible conflict😢. I literally just learned that the song is about what happened in Derry girls and it blew my mind
I love how Scarlet's Independence Love Song was playing when Erin greeted James
I need a James in my life 💕
I think at that age, I would probably have fancied the library girl. I wouldn't have gone near this group though, because Michelle is f***ing scary, although you can see now that most of it is bravado, otherwise why would she be hanging out with this bunch? I mean, Orla? Claire? Erin, aka Lisa, can be a pain at times.
Now, it would have to be Aunt Sarah. That woman is both striking and completely freaking mental.
If I were back in high school I would have taken similar measures to save Jenny Joyce. As an adult, I would pretend not to see what was coming, let it happen, then act shocked.
I would probably pretend not to see it, too. This is true for both my high school self and my adult self. Jenny wasn't a bad person, but she was an annoying, stuck up tattletale who deserved to be taken down a peg...it's not like having tomato juice dumped on her would actually hurt her. (If there was a real risk of her getting injured, both my high school self and adult self would try to help.) She rigged the prom queen election, anyways, so it's not like a random, unsuspecting girl was crowned prom queen and then humiliated. And if I actually DID try to help, I would yell and warn her what was happening. I would DEFINITELY NOT get up on stage and actually put myself in the splash zone!!!
Coolest ending to an episode ever
"We've already missed Coronation Street."
"Well every cloud, as they say." 😂
I’ve warned you before Gerry!
I think it's rather touching that James' Dr Who scarf is not really very long.
I would swear I was watching DG clips two years ago and understanding them.
Saoisire Monica Jackson is the greatest actress.
Don’t come for Coronation street 🤣
You can leave the house and never return ;)
Gerry would have been working twice as fast if he was missing Gladiators
Mae is clearly very resourceful!
I wonder how much Michelle is out after "borrowing" the dress.
I think her Ma is not at all impressed
Fuck-a-doodle-doo! 😁
Love how she changed into what she felt like wearing and be herself
“holy shit”
4:37
Ma's pain, Ma's helplessness
Expand and explain
When Humphrey bogart meets Peter Lorre
This sentence reminded me of “the year of the cat” by al Stewart 😂
It starts with
“On a morning from a Bogart movie
In a country where they turn back time
You go strolling through the crowd like Peter Lorre
Contemplating a crime”
For what possible reason could you need 2 double sockets at the bottom of the stairs... weird.
I slightly don't like Erin's dress. I feel like the style doesn't suit her. I was waiting if Erin will actually pick another dress when Michelle and the girls were planning to "rent" the dresses 🤣
If you’re talking about the blue dress, That was made on purpose! She was not comfortable and it didn’t suit her but she wanted to impress the other guy. And she wasn’t herself, not even the slightest.
When she was about to go out with James she didn’t feel the need to hide anymore! And she wore what was more comfortable for her, what SHE wanted, not what she THOUGHT others wanted.
I think this dynamic between Erin and James is an anticipation of what happens in season 3 (which I have not seen yet because Netflix HAS TO BUY IT)
@@iwannatalkalot3415
To be fair, not much ever happens between James and Erin- mostly because they are, after all, distantly related, or given the overall dynamic of the Malone and Quinn-McCool families, might as well be.
@@anonUK Did you see the third season? I’m not gonna do spoilers but…… 🌝
@@iwannatalkalot3415 I said "not much", not "nothing".
