James hardly ever defends himself when being put down, but immediately defended and made excuses for his mom anytime she was questioned. As much of a punching bag his character was, this was when I genuinely felt so bad for James and just wanted him happy

They also had phone lines you could call for a service like a party chat line or horoscope line that was by the minute. 20 minutes and you a charge enough to fill the car with gas. So she called to listen to a horoscope or have her fortune done and her mom got quite a shock when she opened the phone bill. I want to know why her mom the waitress doesn’t have her daughter work waiting tables? She seems old enough. I don’t know why she called the hotline, Aunt Sarah has a certificate. LOL
