1:03:46 They really should have made an alternate ending to this fight where Oscar lives... But the condition would be that you couldn't mess up once, and if you did mess up, it would just play out as normal.
@@theinflammabler3457 Well, that type of ending for Oscar would just be the same as what happened in the original game, if I'm being honest. Assuming he did succumb to his injuries in that alternate route.
@@gameroak007 but if Oscar did live long to see his friend that evil or not then there would not be any like change in the story if you get what i mean
@@theinflammabler3457 I actually just had an idea about how the story could change from there if Oscar survived. Let's say they're at the part where Billy is betraying Gerry and Jess, and trying to convince Nima to go with him, while Oscar is sitting down and taking a moment to breathe and deal with the pain of his wounds next to the desktop area where the phones are that Laura Sorkin was at. Billy throws the grenade in the area Gerry, Jess, and Nima are in, then Billy is in the elevator, and the rest of that plays out as normal. Then Oscar gets up from sitting, and says: "He left us here just to die while he gets to the boat? That coward." And Jess reassures Oscar, showing him the can of embryos, and says: "He won't be able to get anywhere without this." He then takes the can, gives it to Nima, and says: "I think this belongs to you." And Nima responds, saying: "Thank you, Oscar." Then they get their wetsuits on, swim out of the lagoon as normal and everything, come out of the cavern, and then the confrontation with Billy starts like normal as well. Gerry is knocked out, and Nima fights Billy. Then the T. Rex comes, and Gerry kicks the can, Billy gets eaten, and all that mumbo-jumbo. They escape to the boat, then they find the money, and Jess suggests that they all share it as a group. And after that, she also suggests that Oscar should go with them, and two dialogue options show up on screen. "Yeah, I guess." or "No, I'll be fine on my own." And after one of those two options are chosen, the camera slowly pans out with the island in sight, but slowly fading to black. Then the credits roll.
Laura Sorkin brought up the whole "using frog DNA to fill in the gene sequence gap" thing in this episode. Little did Henry Wu know that he screwed up big time by NOT minding the species of frogs used. Dr. Alan Grant mentions in the movie that some West African frogs have been known to spontaneously change sex from male to female in a single sex environment after realizing that the dinosaur genetic code was mutated and blended with that of frogs. A conclusion he came to after finding the shells of dinosaur eggs in the wild. So much for Wu's safety precaution. While Sorkin's idea would've taken longer, it would've ensured the all-female population without any way to undermine it.
We actually do see it, always knew there might have been a small detailed that we See Billy drop the Cannister, this confirms, thanks Dark Stock, you've got very good eyes

Maybe also that the alternative would let Oscar live injured and maybe die later.

30:47 Nima: C'mon... nice tasty dinosaur.
That D-caf reveal still freaks me out to this day.
At 30:30 if you look closely you can see Yoder drop the can
I know it’s small but I find it nice that they included that detail

Awesome and totally underrated fight.
Three Velociraptors were killed by the T.rex and Oscar and three went after Gerry, Jess and Dr. Sorkin, so that means there were six Velociraptors.
40:51 I love how Oscar is like, ya I love this song!
my raptor boi literally said in his best english "oh shit"! at 1:05:03
RIP Oscar
