- I get out the Honda HSS 928 ATD to take on this winter's largest snowfall so far! The high winds created a 5 foot drift by my garage doors! Will this Honda snow blower handle this kind of snow? You'll have to watch to find out!
This is my 3rd channel, focused on small engines. Therefore, I have other Honda HSS928 videos on my main channel if you want to see more. I may or may not move them over here. You can see them here: / @wisconsinolivernut
I will also be bringing you more content on this channel, it will be solely focused on anything small engine. More content coming, but it's also my 3rd channel so I'll release vids when I can.
Thanks for watching! Please like and subscribe!

Best snowblower ever!I got the model before this one and it’s a beast! The power, one pull start and the hydrostatic is a game changer!
Yes, I really like mine
I used to have Honda 928 1978 three years ago no more dealer ship so I give to my friend in White River he fix it he said the best snow blower ever nowI have Ariens 30 inch with 414 cc very fast @ strong love it and love my old Honda better lol ty Ron Kapuskasing
Nice! The old ones are a gem nowadays
I have the 1332 tracked Honda. These blowers are the best hands down. One tip is when you start it put the throttle on full. It should start up faster for you. Enjoy!!!!!!!
Yep you’re right! Sometimes I forget to do that. You’d think high revving upon startup would be harmful as the oil hasn’t been moved around yet. But there’s a lot of small engines where the choke and throttle are on the same lever. Up above full throttle. They start wide open so it must have been researched by them to be ok
Hello there, fellow Wisconsinite. I'm an Ariens guy myself, currently running a 24" Platinum SHO... but damn me, if those tracked Hondas aren't awesome! Great video.
Ariens are good machines! Gotta love a Wisconsin company! Brillion isn’t that far from me. I should check out their plant some day
I just bought a Honda 928 track machine can’t wait to use it 🇨🇦
I hope you like it. I like mine
I'm really surprised at how poor the Hondra tracks had on the ground. Compared to other trac models like the Ariens, Torro and Cub Cadet models, this didn't seem to "cut through like hot butter" like other reviews. Noticed lots of slipping and "pushing" by the operator. Honda is SUPER top heavy. A heftier trac system would make this an elite machine.
Well, I wanna be as transparent as possible, but you can’t tell in videos what the conditions are like. If I’m trying to cut through hard pack from tire tracks, you wouldn’t probably see it in the video. Or how cold it is. When it gets colder after a heavy, wet snow, it’s harder to get through. Real fluffy snow is easy. But whatever the case, the tracks on any pull much better than the wheels
Same with my HS928 which is 20 years old and track mounted. It tracks the ground quite well and when I'm in way too deep snow above ground level, it still tracks well until I hit better traction ground surface. Track mount works many times better in our snow than tire mount. @@wisconsinsmallenginenut
amazing you cant beat Honda
They are quite the machines!
When the wind is blowing and you have to snowblow you can't beat a balaclava and a snowmobile helmet. You could do it all day.
Yes, I was thinking about getting the cab for it, not sure if that would annoy me though
My daughter just bought this exact model. Looks like it works well!!
Yes it does. I play around with smaller blowers sometimes, ones I’m fixing, but when we get a big dump, the Honda comes out!
That is crazy Snow
Yes
HEY , IT LOOKS LIKE YOU GOT HAMMERED PRETTY GOOD WITH THE DRIFTING AYE !
Yes indeed! Thanks for watching!
I just ordered one of those yesterday and it should be delivered on Tuesday (December 12 in Brockville Ontario.
Nice! Hope you like it!
Honda just makes great equipment. I have one of theres tracked blowers, quads, jetski, cars and a few small engines. Just never owned one of there snowmobiles..if they ever make one.
Yeah I always wondered what a Honda snowmobile would be like. Maybe too low of volume is the reason they never made them?
I hope this channel stays like this being all Honda stuff. looking at selling my John deer blower for a new Honda 1332 any issues with yours?
Nope it’s been great! This is my 3rd RUclips channel. I have a firearms one and my main one is with Oliver tractors. So I have some small engine stuff on my main (Wisconsin Oliver Nut) but I will be putting all small engine stuff here, from now on. I have quite a few Honda things. Got some of the riders with the timing belt like the 3813 and 4514. Nice mowers. I wished I had been doing RUclips at the time I fixed those. The classic mouse nest made the timing belt skip cogs. Oh well, I can always find some more to fix
If stronger knives were installed, this machine could be used to dig canals for irrigation or drainage. And military trenches.
Yeah, and maybe blow my leaves into a trailer or wagon
my toro would bug down on that much snow, honda always the winner for sure.
The Honda you gotta run it slow. But with the hydrostatic tranny you can go extremely slow if you want
YEA i get it they should put that trans in more model @@wisconsinsmallenginenut
Hondas a beast. Just got 14” and the 1332 ate it and spit it out
Nice! I saw your community post, but didn’t check out your videos yet. Did you ever try the bigger main jet?
@@wisconsinsmallenginenut I have not yet. I have seen people do it and seems easy. Just haven’t gotten around to it
I didn’t discover that till the other day. I didn’t know Honda has them set lean for California compliance. I’d like to try a bigger main in mine. Do a direct comparison cleaning up a big storm
@@wisconsinsmallenginenut that be awesome.
Man i thought we in southern Ontario had snow last week..not even compared to what you have.
Yeah it was a pretty good storm. We got another 8” storm less than a week after this one
Considering the cost and reputation of Honda snowblowers, you are not doing anything unexpected of your snowblower IMHO. I live in WV and bought a 1332ATD at the beginning of winter. We had less than an inch twice. Did not need to use it this year. Told my wife it was insurance. If I had not bought it, we would have had 2 feet, LOL.
Yep that’s exactly right. If I didn’t have a blower or mine was broke, I’d no doubt be getting record amounts of snow 😁
I have the 928 tracked also I bought it on the day after a 2013 blizzard. But since I purchased a bobcat with an enclosed cab and heat I've kind of been a wuss and have only used that even if it's only two or three inches. It's more fun honestly. But I love that 928 it could pretty much throw the snow about 90 ft I swear. We just haven't had much need for it since I bought it for the most part except for maybe a few times and by then I'd already had the bobcat.
Yeah blowing is definitely out in the elements. Always seems to be windy when I have to blow
Yes, on the flip side I affectionately call the bobcat the sauna it gets so hot in there I have to wear a t-shirt even when it's like -10 F. I still love being out in the weather also though.
Haha my Dad uses a Bobcat to move his snow. He’s always saying how he’s sweating in that cab 😁
That's what she said
Yes!
Their is no blower that I have seen match the power of this honda machine. It's the only blower I would ever buy.
Only blower that comes with a Honda engine 😉
Great machine but this particular model is Underpowered. Get the 12 Horse if your getting the tracked Honda, you'll be much happier.
I can see that. Could use a few more ponies
One auger looks like it’s on backwards in the one part there
I’ll have to look at it. Might be the way it’s designed though
Nope it's on correctly, 8:00 for reference.
They have to take snow from opposite ends and feed it to the fan.
I had a 928 track machine. Hated it so I sold it.. Terrible to operate but my biggest gripe was that it was terribly underpowered.. way too slow for my liking. Maybe the 13 is better.. A 28 or 30" Ariens SHO will easily outperform the 928 in speed and volume. For about half the money !! It's unarguable,, I've run both.
I can see how the 928 could use a more powerful engine
