Both keyboards are very good, Yamaha has always placed itself for ease of use, Korg is also trying to excel in that way with this model especially with the touch screen and registrations, But yamaha's warmth, booming bass, multipad and quick navigation functions makes it a choice over the the sound clarity and keyboard stage appearance of Korg. Bonners presenter Tony has very good hands on perfection on any of his presentation.

Honestly, with our own experiences in 22 years using Korg and Yamaha arrangers, Yamaha voting, practicality and the ability to interact with most of the live keyboard features make all the difference, Korg has great sounds, but Yamaha has Much more practicality, has evolved substantially since the Psr-s750 / 950, if we analyze without prejudice we will come to this conclusion.
what was she doing? she evacuated ?Yamaha is like a reheated chop. Basically nothing happened until the sx900 model, although also in this case there is not much progress. I had all these models from the psr series and it was no different, it was only buying the Korg Pa 1000 that made me smile. korg listens to its users at all before it releases its next model. it has been so this time since the pa5x appeared on the market. yamaha with her Genos has now been left behind.
Friends ,if you are doing solo performance in stage ,rhythm is the most important thing, Yamaha has the beautiful rhythms and high in equalizer settings..Rhythm is the most important thing ,Yamaha has good rhythms and expansion memory. So choosing Yamaha keyboard is better than korg. In korg korg pa 4 x and kronos is only good items. If you are choosing keyboard for solo stage performance with middle price rate and expansion memory ,, psr s 970 is better. Hear its rhythms , imagine like that you playing with this beautiful rhythms on stage..you can give an imaginable feeling like dance,movie,emotional.... to the audience....thanks for reading my comment..
Excuse me but you can't see waves in Yamaha. And whenever you want to edit a voice. You need to use Yamaha Manager which is stupid af. While on the other side you can use korg very fast and easy. Oh one more thing. The cspacity of 256mb of korg is very wide to load many sets. While Yamaha's 450mb is just to load a bit of beats and sounds. While on korg you can load the whole Yamaha and work... bla bla bla im tired of explaining.
Drums and bass are crucial in live playing and they are more compact and natural in Korg....while Yamaha is great in-studio sounds for me, and has some gorgeous sounds like strings, saxophones, trumpets cs. ...and a few local musical instruments from my country (like gamelan).
As an overall package Yamaha is the best. Korg is not bad but have a lot to to improve in the style department. Just listen carefully at 4.18 when Tony switches to variation 3 on the Korg. It just creates a jerk. Listen at 4.34 when the Ending is pressed. Very poor programming. This issue has been there with all Korg arrangers and has never been addressed. In the Editing department Korg is really good while Yamaha still lives in the stone age. Yamaha brings in all the nuances and articulations to the sounds and rest of the companies follow :-)....Korg has never got the Piano sound right even in the Kronos. Feels so artificial. Thanks to Tony for the comparison.
Korg Kronos piano's are awesome! I grew tired of Yamaha's piano sounds except for the DX 7 ep's. Plus Yamaha used old tech. AWM I should know because I used to work for Yamaha. Not even the Montage can compete with the Kronos. The last workstation of Yamaha was the motif xf. Peace out! P.S. you just need to learn how to edit your piano sounds. To suit your taste. Peace out!
Really??? Just listen to carefully at: 17:24 ruclips.net/video/BzqcOh_f80g/видео.html and 17:59 ruclips.net/video/BzqcOh_f80g/видео.html it's the same problem...when the variation is changed.
Hi , Surprising that the Yamaha has more elegant sound in the style mode. Difficult to compare because Korg has many hidden features example, you can change the style or drum chords to match your right hand melody ,meaning most keyboards are set on the scale of " C ". Korg has tuning in the settings to fine tune the pitch of style and drums , example , if you are playing base chord " G " with the right hand part , then you can fine tune the drum beat to " G ". It also has 4 fill-in buttons to change the variation in the style mode, very important whilst singing in one man band performance. For performances , I would prefer the Korg pa 1000. The difference in price range is not much , Korg being a little higher. I would go for the Korg pa 1000. I am a Roland fan. I have a Roland E09 IN (Indian edition) , which also has all the western styles and voices and a 76 key Yamaha DGX 230 (not an entry level keyboard ). Something special about the Roland E09's is the bass and bass changes in style mode , it sounds great. It's also evident the player's talent is very important and if a person is a good performer , then he or she can make any instrument sound great.
I have performed & been well compensated for over 3800 nights playing to larger crowds. The Yamaha sounds dreamy like an older style home Organ. Maybe good for playing nursing homes and eating establishments where they're there to only listen while they're having dinner. The Korg sounds more like a live band that would move the crowd to dance. You only need a certain number of sounds to perform live, both are overkill. Like someone said earlier the arranger sounds are not as thick as a non- arranger.
Yamaha PSR S975 Veeeeerrrrrryyyyyyyy gggggooooooodddd Very excellent High quality all sound and style Very excellent High quality material Very excellent High quality pre amp Output sound speakers Yamaha made in Indonesia But, korg made in China Yamaha *** WIN ***
Korg is better. I compared prior to buying my Pa1000. Agree, Yamah is user friendly, but has too soft keys, which is esential for playing. Also, buttons and plastic looks cheap. I am happy with my Pa 1000 :-)
Its clear the Yamaha sounds better due to the fact that they manufacture all or most of the band/orch instruments, so they know exactly how they sound and how to record them. I hear the form factor/flow on the Korg is better than on the Yamaha!
Yamaha's Electric guitar at 25.05 blew Korg out of the water. The grand piano on Yamaha is also crisper and more realistic. And the movie Strings on Yamaha have such clarity and depth, again much fuller sounding than Korg's strings. Wow every single voice comparison was waaaayyyy better on Yamaha. It's a no brainer to me.
Hi Tony, I listened very intently to these, in fact, going back and listening a second time to make sure of what I was hearing. The sound was, for the most part, very satisfying on both keyboards. Though, from my own personal perspective, as the styles were being played, I think that they were a bit fuller, and richer on the Yamaha-even if they we the old standbys that Yamaha has used for years. As for sounds, they're both very similar. However, the violin you used on the Yamaha is an extremely good rendition of a concert violin (similar to a Stradivarius) while the one used on the Korg sounded like a fiddle. You didn't seem inclined to use, or demonstrate any of the unique features of either keyboard. Even so, both sounded very good. I like the color scheme on the Korg, but hate the shape of the speaker covers. The white keys on the Yamaha would pick up grease and dirt from fingertips (I'm very familiar with this problem). I am particularly interested in how well implemented the touch screen is on the Korg. If anyone's interested, I play A PSR S770 and just love it. I know of an acquaintance of mine who recently bought an S775, and returned it because he couldn't get it to compose the style tracks the way he wanted to (he didn't wait for me to get back to him with the fact that they need to be done in a "Cmaj" scale). I wish him well, even though he went to a Korg PA700. Overall though, with the many thousands of styles and instruments available via USB, downloading from Yamaha, and a thousand other sites, and the unique features on both keyboards, (like the touch screen and dark colored keys on the Korg). It also looks like the buttons are a bit larger on the Yamaha. Unique features can be easily accessed on the Yamaha(just take the time to walk through the menus). I'm still sold on the Yamaha though I did enjoy the comparisons that were shown. Thanks again Tony.
Too much Reverb on drums used in Yamaha !! It might sound very appealing for a one-time listen , but Korg Drums sound natural and real and sounds good for prolonged listening .. !! But on other hand , Yamaha always wins with Grand Piano voices !! And , Tony ...!! You are the man !!! You could even make an 80's Casio sound Good .!!
Excellent demo, well played! I notice some "background hiss" on some of the Korg sounds (except the drums) that was not present in the Yamaha sounds... I have played the Korg at NAMM and did not notice any background hiss with any sounds. Perhaps you might mention that the Korg has a beautiful tilt/touch screen and aftertouch... both missing from the Yamaha.
In ancient times u could say Korg was better but now it sounds like spoons and forks in comparison to yamaha s970 or s975.u should listen live to understand..... Yamaha is the best in voice & sounds
Sir which one more versatile More powerfull In between Korg pa1000 vs korg pa4x 76 I am plannings to buy one Reply me sir I am from india And i will visits your showroom
don't judge the performance of keyboard through video demo. just go directly to the store and feel it. In my opinion, Korg has realistic sounds than Yamaha. but when it comes to midi part Yamaha is much better. For doing live I think Korg keyboards are better. I have used both keyboards and still using. Korg has more powerful sound engine than Yamaha. Style part is also rich in Korg Keyboards. but when it come Yamaha we feel more electronic sounds
How did korg manage to sneak in passing notes in the bass line of the styles? on the Yamaha styles have a bass line that sticks to chord notes which makes the styles sound boring and stiff. I am impressed with the Korg.
Am I right when I say that the keys on the Korg are better than the Yamaha? I know you're a good pianist and I hear unexpected nuances when you play the Yamaha which I don't hear when you play the Korg. As if you don't have as much control on the velocity when you play the Yamaha. Especially hearable on the song at around 3:30. I do, however, get the feeling that you prefer the Yamaha.
What I'm missing in this video is a comparison in terms of pliability, ease of use, user interface. How is it like to use the keyboard. For example: does this keyboard use a touchscreen or not, does it have quick access buttons, octave transform buttons, are the sounds and styles' categories well organized and so on
If we are not talking about sounds, but about ergonomics, then at the Korg the keyboard almost does not bend down when the fingers are in the center. In Yamaha, with an intensive play on the keys, a rather noticeable deflection of the keyboard block. This is very strange, since the tool is positioned as a serious workstation.
I agree to all the comments. Both are really interesting keyboard workstations. The clarity of sound is good in yamaha when compared to that of pa1000. These two keyboards are two extremes. U cannot say anything untill and unless u use them on a program. In the case of yamaha its more user friendly than pa1000. As both the keyboards provide factory sounds and styles, a professional artist will have to work on with tones and rythms to make to perfection. If u have listened to the sounds carefully u must hav noticed thst most of the tones in yamaha just sound realistic than pa1000. Both the keyboards gives a decent output, but sounds do vary. Yamaha gives a crisp and clarity output as its high frequency is a bit high. On the other hand korg gives a bold and base frequency for its styles, and it sounds good in base. So its ur personal opinion to chosse the best. Best thing to do is to play both of them and select the best. Thank u
I am an amaroriale, I like to compose songs with the keyboard sequencer, mine is the fun of a music lover. I am undecided whether to take this keyboard or the Yamaha PSR SX900, what do you recommend?
i had many keyboards yamaha and korg ,, are more functional you can change pitch from every drums keys you can make own sounds your own drums in yamaha you just play what it’s in factory sound and drums when i’m making own style in korg you can use 6 different chords CV1 to CV6 yamaha you can only one chords
Hello, im think both of them are authorized in the market. When i hear the differences, there is aclear consensus on the Yamaha voices and sounds, but a much clearer commitment to Korg's drums. Korg sounds punchy but not overloaded. Yahama sounds are silky and good. I played with Yamaha for years. Now i'm convinced of Korg. Unfortunaly Korg curtails the variety of functions and possibles. A mistake! Greatiings Heinz
wow i am Pianist For More than 13years And when i play jazz i always love Yamaha voices They sound wow And Soft even Without Fx so I GO for YAMAHA PSR-S975 becouse it gives Me What Ineed to hear,
I have yamaha psr 975 and i compair the win is yamaha psr s975 before i have korge Pa1000 but when i got my new yamaha psr s975... absolutely i love my yamaha psr s975... if you sing a solo u can use the voice harmony when you sing
I don't know. At first I found the Yamaha sound a bit muddy, sounds not so clearly distinguished. On the other hand it stands out, but probably because it uses a lot a compression...
Hard choice for me, I've been always using Yamaha. If I decide to buy Korg I must change everything completely, all I've got used to with Yamaha and the software to work with... but hard as it is: Korg sounds better to me, except for the distorted guitar, this one is better on Yamaha. As this is an important voice for me it makes my choice even harder... well, Korg's 'Strat Overdrive Guitar' sounds ok, too, but not as great as Yamaha's 'Rock Guitar Hero' sound... could there be other distorted guitar voices on Korg, that sound better? Yamaha mostly has an overdriven and a distortion guitar sound... does Korg also feature them both? What I also need to state: I really thought there's something wrong with the violin sound on Yamaha! I'm sorry, but it's horrible! Am I the only one to think so? First I thought it's an overdriven guitar sound, too 😂. Korg's violin sounds much more natural... and there are two more things: As far as I know Korg PA1000 features aftertouch, Yamaha PSR-S975 doesn't, or am I wrong? And I also think Korg's joystick is an advantage over the separated wheels for pitch and modulation control on Yamaha.
Yamaha psr 975. just this modal. Krog Krones for the best sound of corse. (Different price range) Im a Krog fan. but not for this unit. sorry. Thank you Tony for giving it a go mate.
Both of them have their own advantages whet it comes to sound, but Yamaha is still very unflexible with mapping. It´s not possible to do free arranges, I only can use the split points and a layer, but no free mapping of the sounds. In addition to that, KORG has a deeper editing section
I am from Arkansas USA however they definitely leave a hard decision to be made as each has attributes that are a small amount better than the other. However I think I would go with the KORG. I have had excellent results and ever a problem with my KORG-X2. Keyboard 🎹. However I really want a arranger keyboard 🎹.
Very fine line between both of them... Both are best... Grading most of the time isbased on individual preferences hence always biased... So don't compare
Good afternoon, I'm interested in buying two musical keyboard instruments 1.KORG PA1000 2. YMAHA PSR S975 and how do I order it I ask for the address and details of the cost..
We all know that Korg is the keyboards specialist because it has Live sounds not like the Yamaha which have studio ones. And the touches. I can see that Korg got smooth keys.
Tony as you will know that I have acquired both Korg And Yamaha keyboards from Bonners on many occasions in the past and since the PSRS 9700 I have always felt that the Yamaha edges it for me purely on the organs and same goes for the PSRS9750
Yamaha can never beat Korg in functionality, and Korg can never beat Yamaha in user friendly and huge online support, vast styles collection etc. In Korg you have to load style inside the instrument to play it, while in Yamaha, just put 1000 of styles in usb and play directly. The synth patches in Korg are awesome professional, in Yamaha they are few and not impressive.
звуки прекрасны у обоих . есть возможность настроить звук по желанию. но разница есть .сенсорный экран стоит почти всю сумму синта. нужно обращатся очень осторожно.
Of course, Yamaha People keep saying Korg is better for sound editing. I edit sounds on my DAW for hours. What the sound editing is going to benefit me on an arranger that I bought to enjoy and have fun in the first place? ... Maybe Yamaha editing is horrible but I don't wanna spend time editing sounds, I just wanna have fun.
indeed korg has a special audio output quality, but the yamaha psr s975 has the usual audio but it has the characteristic quality of the overall sound that is very natural, the spirit for yamaha the whole world😉😉😊😊🙏🙏👏👏
Once again a masterpiece of comparising videos. Thanks Tony. My choice after seeing this and hearing will be Yamaha. Yamaha has most of ready to use sound. Korg sound good basic sounds but they had to be tweaked, and I dont have the time to do that.
Ainda prefiro o Yamaha..

Yes Korg is the best. I stop using Yamaha since PSRS950.
I want both. No need to compare! :)

Well said..
Korg has 'instrument' sounds. Yamaha has 'synth' sounds. Just from my hearing them.

Completely agree. A glaring omission was the absence of any organ voices, particularly church organ or tutti.

Yamaha 100 % better
Tanks !! Man
true to that
Excuse me but you can't see waves in Yamaha.
I find yamaha sound most ideal for sacred music, classical music, jazz. That korg for rock, pop, and electronics.
u bet!
Disagreed
For me the best yamaha psr s975 and best voice harmony and also the bass is great
korg just have a rich tones for a live performance and studio work
Yamaha Keyboard is really nice, I remember Buying it ages ago, you can download extra sounds on it too..
Absolutely true about korg styles map .... Thats why i hate KORG ! I had same issue since pa50
Peace out!
mine too.. i just bought korg pa700. i really disappointed with korg style variations switching, compared with yamaha, which plays smoothly
Jerry Thomas korg kronos has awesome pianos !!
Really??? Just listen to carefully at:
17:24 ruclips.net/video/BzqcOh_f80g/видео.html and
17:59 ruclips.net/video/BzqcOh_f80g/видео.html it's the same problem...when the variation is changed.
Both sound great, but I think the Korg is preferable due to having 3 right voices, I’ve only ever owned Yamaha up till now.
wo voices are enough and sometimes even one.
Yamaha is all-round keyboard excellent for one-man show and easy menu 💥
Interesting Video, I enjoyed watching this video. The PSR-S975 sounds so crisp and lovely in my opinion.
Yes..But Techno....Korg is Best
STANDING OVATION for yamaha styles and orchestra accompaniements... TAKE A BOW for KORG peerless original sounds !
Yamaha PSR S975
Veeeeerrrrrryyyyyyyy gggggooooooodddd
Very excellent High quality all sound and style
Very excellent High quality material
Very excellent High quality pre amp Output sound speakers
Yamaha made in Indonesia
But, korg made in China
Yamaha *** WIN ***
Korg is better. I compared prior to buying my Pa1000. Agree, Yamah is user friendly, but has too soft keys, which is esential for playing. Also, buttons and plastic looks cheap. I am happy with my Pa 1000 :-)
中国有多少价格paorg korg
Its clear the Yamaha sounds better due to the fact that they manufacture all or most of the band/orch instruments, so they know exactly how they sound and how to record them. I hear the form factor/flow on the Korg is better than on the Yamaha!
I love them both. Ideally, I would have a two tier keyboard stand and have both to work with.
Right now, I have a PSR 3000 that serves me well, but it'a wearing out.
Both of best but more is Korg comfortable making live sound recorded
Korg have naturally sounds
Yamaha organ how much price
The yamaha psr s975 it most clearly sounds ... thanks... i got my yamaha psr s975
Korg for me! M1 user here! Peace out!
I have listened to the key boards and like the Yamaha sounds. individual voices sound very similar to me.
Robert Christopulos i agree, just bought psr s970 and totally loving its styles, voices
Those dark keys in the korg layout should be a pain to select in a dark environment...
You can create styles in any key you want, you just have to go to the parameters menu and tell it to use whatever key you want.
Both of good....
The winner is YAMAHA PSR-S975
I have YAMAHA MONTAGE 7.
The various types of sounds from YAMAHA are very good.
There is a hissing sound when Korg is played. Is this a recording issue ?
Yamaha PSR-S975 it is so delicious!
Style quality in Korg was awesome and voice quality in Yamaha was awesome we can combine both to produce nice musoc
In ancient times u could say Korg was better but now it sounds like spoons and forks in comparison to yamaha s970 or s975.u should listen live to understand.....
Yamaha is the best in voice & sounds
Sir which one more versatile
More powerfull
In between
Korg pa1000 vs korg pa4x 76
I am plannings to buy one
Reply me sir
I am from india
And i will visits your showroom
don't judge the performance of keyboard through video demo. just go directly to the store and feel it.
Either one will rock the house. Good stereo PA system. Get em up dancing.
Both good keyboards, The big difference between them is korg has the touch screen and the Yamaha doesn’t
And twice as much power speakers 33w korg 16 yamaha garbage
In short you need both. The ballad sounds on the yamaha are great with that FM tech everything else the korg
Thank u
jusvin joseph then why you asked us 🤩
Praise Peter 😅
wieder klasse Grüße aus Berlin das grüßt der Berliner
The Korg clearly can't beat the very high quality sounds of the Yamaha as expected...
Hans Anderson what keyboards do you have. Just curious
Yamaha wins ! I love it, I got one ! Thanks!x
Love Korg!!
On the other hand it stands out, but probably because it uses a lot a compression...
styles:Korg; voices:Yamaha
As per video "out of the box" Yamaha beats korg, but in the long run Korg is more flexible
Irrespective of keyboards how you play which actually matters !!! Stunned looking at your fingers
The Yamaha is the best!!!!!
But i love 1 rhythm on the korg that is Spanish remix 16:48
Korg is better shut up
@@anticorruptosmundial6647 well thats what 1% of the population think so
Hard choice for me, I've been always using Yamaha.
(Different price range)
Im a Krog fan. but not for this unit. sorry.
Thank you Tony for giving it a go mate.
I Think Korg Frequency Modulation is Very High....Pls tel me Best Korg Keyboards? Thank You
Yamaha rhythm and voice was most combainning love. Yamaha keyboard
I'd hire the Yamaha for the gig because it has got much more groove than the Korg! I wonder if you can unpack or remix the sounds for the Yamaha?
Both of them have their own advantages whet it comes to sound, but Yamaha is still very unflexible with mapping. It´s not possible to do free arranges, I only can use the split points and a layer, but no free mapping of the sounds.
In addition to that, KORG has a deeper editing section
Pls tel me WhAt you Mean MAPPING?
I am from Arkansas USA however they definitely leave a hard decision to be made as each has attributes that are a small amount better than the other.
However I think I would go with the KORG.
I have had excellent results and ever a problem with my KORG-X2. Keyboard 🎹. However I really want a arranger keyboard 🎹.
Korg have many live sounds.
!!!
Very fine line between both of them... Both are best... Grading most of the time isbased on individual preferences hence always biased... So don't compare
Good afternoon, I'm interested in buying two musical keyboard instruments
1.KORG PA1000
2. YMAHA PSR S975
and how do I order it I ask for the address and details of the cost..
4:13 rock star wow but fill in and ending is totally a mess, 4:40, the Acoustic rock is lit
звуки прекрасны у обоих . есть возможность настроить звук по желанию. но разница есть .сенсорный экран стоит почти всю сумму синта. нужно обращатся очень осторожно.
Of course, Yamaha
People keep saying Korg is better for sound editing.
Korg sound good basic sounds but they had to be tweaked, and I dont have the time to do that.
that's why you will sound the same with yamaha forever and like others who have yamaha and not with korg.
@@hajduk77 yes you are right. But the sounds in Yamaha are good and I am old.
And when comes the PA 1100???
Both have their pluses and minuses, it depends on what you are looking for.
both have unique style but i will chose the Korg PA1000
Ainda prefiro o Yamaha..
