Killer bike great build. Is it safe to heat up the bottom bracket area with a heatgun like that? seems like it would be a little hard on the carbon and paint.
@@Jolinator Most of the Resins used in the Bike industry have a Glass Transistion point (where the Resin goes gooey/soft) of around 120° Celcius. There are Resins with higher TGs like 180 or even higher, but those are way too expensive to be used in the bike industry
The individual who specd this bike clearly did his research. The tubular Enve 5.6 rims weigh 60 grams less EACH than their clincher counterparts. It’s nice to see someone truly put performance first instead of building a $15k bicycle up with heavy clinchers.
@@ronykuba haha. Keep drinking the tubeless kool aid. If you’re telling me a tubeless set up has less rolling resistance than a silk-casing tubular with latex tube, god help you.
@@ronykuba rolling resistance is a very dynamic type of resistance and data that is available makes it seem as if one tire is always better than the others. It is much more complicated than that. For instance, some companies will have you believe that a 25 mm tire always rolls better than a 23 mm tire. But the truth is that it only rolls better on poor road surfaces. On a new smooth surface, the wider tire with its larger contact patch has more rolling resistance. That’s why track riders always use 20s and 21s. That being said, how a tire attaches to a rim has nothing to do with how it rolls, all else being equal.
