When I saw Star Wars as a four year old in 1977, EVERYTHING changed.
I’m watching this again and nostalgia aside, I’m still awestruck by the phenomenon of the original trilogy, specifically the first film. I was 7y in 1977 when I first saw those troopers in dirty white, and they’ve been an obsession ever since. Now my son, who at 7y saw the last film in the saga, has carried on the passion. Thanks RS, for curating such incredible craftsmanship and for feeding our passion for prop/replica prop collecting!
Thanks for a fantastic bit of nostalgia. I'm 53yrs old now, but I remember Star Wars like it was yesterday. Queuing for over 3 hours with loads of other people excited in the pouring rain . Never a better time spent. Still sends a tingle up my spine when I hear the music and see the opening credits. Thanks RS for keeping it alive
I have your Sandy Helm built, No 54 anniversary and a full TK to build. Born 1972, you have given me everything I could only see in magazines it Topps as a kid. Graham Exmouth
Beautyful indeed.
Amazing to think of something created so long ago still resonating so strongly. That is what timeless icons are all about.
Well that's my Friday night fix, another true legend's update from RS.
Hi buddy when I watched star Wars I was 12 years old when it came out in 1977 and it took me 43 years to buy a helmet even though its black series stormtrooper helmet lol but just been on your site now I want one of your stormtrooper uniforms.thank you for sharing mate fantastic. Cheers Gary from the Midlands.
I was SIX years old then. Little did I know that I'd trade my obsession with dinosaurs with what was to come a year later. Keep up the amazing work, guys... you are "the great link" to that legacy with everything you do :)
I was 9 when I went with my mother, dad and younger brother. I still remember talking about how cool the “white guys” (stormtroopers) were in the film. I fell in love with it then and still am in love after all these years. Happy Anniversary, George! I’m glad you stuck with it!
I ordered mine about a week ago, can't wait!
Awesome helmet! Well that's what my partner says...45 years, blimey! I would've been four years old when shooting started and all these years later I'm still playing with my figures! Great video, thanks for the reminder to raise a glass to Lucas and a really wonderful bucket - top job you R.S's 👍🤘👌❤
45 years ago? We're getting old.
