Great info and attitudes, appreciate you gentlemen
Kettlebells are the best fit for hybrid training with calisthenics, hands-down. I'm glad Daniel has shed some light on them.
My dream came true. If Dan keeps keeps on making consistent Kettlebell content, I'll die from happiness.
Kettlebells and calisthenics! Been training for the last 5 years with both. Awesome way to build raw strength and power.
A good combination to unlock full body strength.
@@FitnessFAQs absolutely! Very complimentary!
@FitnessFAQs Thanks for sharing Daniel. I hope you can PLEASE 🙏 respond to my other comment about legs when you can. Thanks for sharing your content.
I have been training kbs and cals for over twenty years and this had some decent instruction but missed a lot of important nuances that will cause frustration and possibly injury for beginners. Just a few glaring omissions included not treating the light kbs like heavy ones to ingrain safe form mechanics, not drilling kb deadlifts before swings, letting Daniel lift with his arms in the swing rather than a powerful hike and hip thrust, not drilling cleans before presses and not showing how the lats must be engaged in most movements. Too bad Daniel didn't get to work with Aleks Salkin when he was in Oz last week. He teaches StrongFirst kb/ cals/ Original Strength in combo and excels in breaking it down for beginners.
Yes!!!!!! Calisthenics and kettlebell almost an unbeatable combo.
What a great coach this guy knows his stuff
I have been using kettlebells for a bit and this is not a beginner routine. 😊 It's a great intermediate to advanced but even the basic movements require advanced flexibility. 😊
Yeah definitely.
He clearly meant "beginner with kettlebell", not beginner in working out. Some pretty advanced mobility required here 😅
FINALLY! I had been wondering if you were ever going to make the transition. As Pavel would say, "Power to the People!" 😍
This will take your fitness to the next level. You'll be amazed! This is year 20 for me! I'm 60 and love what they've added to my fitness.
This is literally hilarious , I just ordered 3 Dragon Door kettlebells for my lower body training next to my upper body rings and Daniel ist coming up with this video
You are a LEGEND mate!
I just started with KB too 😂 Perfect timing!
@@Kristofferan it really is man
I love it for the way of easing me into a lower body workout without having to convince me first 😂
I do 2 upper body ring and dumbbell sessions and 2 short full body kettlebell sessions a week and that’s really the sweet spot in terms of frequency, conditioning , calisthenics + body building for me currently 💪🏻
Lemme chime in. Ordered my set of KBs last month, been training with them for 3 weeks. Perfect timing. 🎉
@@emmp6799 let’s go 💪🏻
The timing is perfect! I flew from Melbourne to Sydney for this collab, glad it helped you.
I never thought I'd see the day 🤯.... Kettlebells are what I'd recommend to someone that comes from calisthenics and wants to start doing some strength training, because it's just as fun and challenging.
Excellent video Dan. Nice change of pace.
Thanks for your work Daniel, always improving our health!!!
Love this video. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent kettlebell demo workout! Thank you for sharing. ❤
I started using bells a week ago, I have to say working out with them helps so much with my shoulder and upper back pain. This video was very helpful. The windmill is my favorite so far.
It’s awesome to hear that. I’ve been thinking about getting into those movements entirely for mobility work.
Dude, thanks! This is just what ive been looking for!
Awesome! Thank you!
This is a great tutorial! Thanks.
thank you so much❤❤🎉🎉
great content, thanks!
I love Vik! His content on th ig is gold....Dan and Vik together...even better
Dude... You are so versatile... I love all of ur training techniques and info. Your videos have truly inspired me... I practice calisthenics (still a beginner) and also use the kettlebell.
Can't wait to try these. 👍
Love the idea
Daniel with kettlebells!!??? What am i watching??!!
Yeah, and I heard Dan John is switching to Calisthenics 😅😅
Lmaoo
😂
History in the making. I like using the kettlebells.
Am i the only one who got a normal reaction despite knowing the man channel from years 💀?
Been wanting to get back in to my kettlebell exercises, thank you for this!
That's the BEST Kettlebell tutorial I've ever seen! The explanation was perfect for beginners. Thank you 😊
I really enjoyed this Dan. Doing a collab with the bro Vic was sick🤙The podcast with Vic was great too. Seeing you pushing the boundaries outside of Cali is very encouraging bro.
Thanks for your support. Learning and trying new things fuel's the fire.
Absolute best 💪
I was just looking for exercises for the kettlebell I picked up last week. Unbelievable timing. Thanks Daniel!
very good thanks.
Vik did a great job of explaining the movements, breaking them down.
great video - it's super interesting to see you two work together 💪
This is solid gold! I like the KBs. I always considered them part of calisthenics training.
loved every second
This is great, Daniel. Thanks for all the content you put out, it's very inspiring. If you go further down the kettelebll path, it would be amazing to get your perspective on the Bent Press 👍
This is so good 👍🏽
love this content! calisthenics and kettlebell is my jam. just swings alone are worth the purchase.
Nice to see you with kettlebells:)
Nice one Daniel, my kettlebell curiosity is peaked.
Thank you 🎉
There's some serious gold here. What an excellent foundation this would give someone who wants to get into kettlebells. Training someone to a the TGU and Swing can definitely be challenging in a short amount of time. Took me a while to do these movements successfully but man are they my two favorites.
Fantastic video 5/5
Never seen the shin box before. Incredible looking exercise. Great vid and super explanations from the instructor
As a person who has trained with KBs for over 5 years and learned a lot from experts from RUclips, I am so glad you got an expert from this video instead of teaching bad form and movements like most fitness influencers these days.
Amazing video
“I fear hitting my Crown Jewels”😂 “I’m not 85 years old yet”!!! Good one Dan. 😂😂
Amazing
Whatever Daniel does...IT'S GOOD FOR ME !
😍💪Vik... Daniel 👊👏👏
What a coincidence, I just began with kettlebell training 😊
I love this routine! I see the reply’s for various weights used here. My question is what is a good starting weight for a 60+ female? I have doing weight training for years. But not anywhere near as heavy as what you guys are doing.
I’ve had KBs for a few months now, they are the foundation of my training especially since I haven’t been going to the gym lately. It’s a great way to get me gassed quick and keep my weight down. Only been doing swings and squats tho, excited to add more movements to my routine. They aren’t super awesome hypertrophy tools tho, so I think my muscle mass has dropped a bit. Not a lot but some, gotta get back under those barbells.
Top💪🏽🤩
Great video! What's the difference between the Deadlift and the Romanian Deadlift?
This is some good stuff, thank you. Always thought kettlebells were interesting but never did the move to buy one. How heavy should the kettlebell be to act as a counterbalance?
He's using a 20kg / 44 lb competition kettlebell in the video. You can tell by the coloring, which is standardized.
He is obviously trained though. Males typically start with 16kg / 32 lbs (yellow). A good set is 16 kg / 24 (green) / 32 (red).
22:00 keep rotating, keep rotating, spine snaps, keep rotating!
You should try swinging steel maces!
Great! Can one substitute the kettle with a dumbbell?
Wow that's good content, do more diverse exercises
Again 👌👌👌👌
When this 59 y/o can cossack squat with a kettlebell I will say I won!
Holding a KB might actually make it easier (stabilizing counter weight). Same with pistol squats.
@@ericrydman7098 It does not (for me at least)
Be ready for Lebe Stark to give you a form check.
Your expertise both as an athlete and a physio maybe helped in making you such a fast learner. Most beginners should expect to put in a good deal of practice to learn proper execution of these movements.
Next, clubs and mace?
The form in this is horrendous. Doing this with a heavy bell is asking for injury. Elbows are flared and wrist alignment is so bad it hurts me. I love this channel for calisthenics, but this is a big fail. Lebe Stark or Mark Wildman are where people should get kettlebell info. I hope he doesn't move to club or mace with this form!
Loved the explanations in each exercise 🙌
Do a video with STKB!
Could you do full body hybrid workout
I train 4-5 days a week using free weights & some machines (upper/lower split). I'd like to incorporate kettlebells, but don't know where to start. Ideally I'd like to swap 2 days for kettlebells only. Eg, 1 upper & 1 lower. Any ideas? Thanks.
Inspired by smaev !!!
Olympic weightlifting next 👌
KB’s seem like the ultimate solution to leg training for a bodyweight athlete. It allows you to load bodyweight leg movements like split squats in a comfortable manner. Not to mention the plethora of other movements available. KB’s are almost like rings in that sense.
Try kettlebell sport
Oh my... new kettlebells... 22kg... lads, thanks. I needed a challenge. 3-4 series of every exercise, 1-5 reps so as much as I could, and I am done. I mean right now I am chilling in the woods to be able to carry my weights to the car
I’ve never tried kettlebells. My spine’s creaking just watching.
Obviously his form is stunning, geez Daniel be bad at something for once. xD
I have to take my Garmin off when i do kettlebell because it gets dinged when I do the rack position.
Great information, I would recommend the camera person stand a little more still. The video is very shaky and can be a little disorienting.
🖤🛡️⚔️
Hello there daniel
Amazing, Cool, Nice Black Strong Man !!!!!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
The kettlebell can be a broke gym rat's response to inflation. 😂
Since dumbbells are cheaper than the molded kettlebells what are the detriments of using a 20kg dumbbell for these movements?
👍🙏🏼
How much do those weigh ?
I think you are a very open minded Person and not restrictet in only one discipine. The world of Sport offer so many Variation that you can benefit from. The people WHO are juging you that you go different ways to get knowledge about pros and contra will never Go in further in their lives. They will never make experience that benefit their live....that ist very sad....because the world is not olny black or white....
Let me go grab my credit card. New program incoming!!
Please try Indian club Daniel
We also need kettlebell Abs exercise
These are good, just one thing bothering me. Are those 32kg kettlebells? If yes, then hell I am weak, just did these with the 16kg, could go up to 24kg, but 32... yeahnnnoooo...
Some nice cues for the swing. I always find it a bit clumsy, will give these a try.
He seems like a very good teacher
Nice! Amo las pesas rusas y amo quedar destrozado culpa de ellas
That pink pum pum shorts had on, though
Kettlebells > barbells. They're still such an underrated tool. I've been doing kettlebell, calisthenics, and movement training (primal movement, natural movement) primarily for a few years now and it's absolutely killer. Mobile, strong, flexible, athletic, provides everything and fills in the gaps. If you're getting into kettlebells, please take the time to learn proper technique. They take time to understand and learn.
Any suggestions on where to start? I'm trying to transition away from barbells/machines. Why'd you transition?
How much did this kettlebell weigh?
Very interesting, but windmill not for beginner
Agreed but they took the time to show the regression which I thought was very considerate
How much weight is he using?
12kg / 26.4lbs - Blue
16 kg / 35.2 lbs - Yellow
20kg / 44.0lbs - Purple
24 kg / 52.8 lbs - Green
28kg / 61.6lbs - Orange
The pink is 8 kg.
I get a lot of the what, but why? Why are these movements done and what is the overall effect?
Next up: Pole dancing
🤔 windmill,Turkish get up, trying learn them to a beginner even someone strong like this calisthenics master it's dangerous better learn him swing, goblet, overhead press then cleans, one arm swings and then snatch windmill Turkish get up 👍
Daniel, how to become like you without doing any exercise 😅
