Charlie played the best game this season, Maria was bitter and gave her vote to someone who got help to make sure Maria didn't get immunity and flat out lied to Charlie after being voted out, sad stuff.
I was surprised that they allowed Liz and Kenzie to work together on that challenge. They used to not allow that.

I am inclined to believe that Kenzie would have won even if Maria had voted for Charlie and forced a tie. In the event of a tie, I think the jury would have had to revote to attempt to break the tie. If the jury remained deadlocked, then Ben would have broken the tie. During the revote, I can honestly envision Liz, or maybe even Soda, breaking the tie in Kenzie's favor to avoid giving Ben the sole power to decide the game.

I really wanted to like her, but her vote in that final tribal council is actually diabolical. Glad Liz helped Kenzie win immunity just so she didn’t win the season.

The fact that multiple jurors are openly basing their votes on what the winner will do with the money is atrocious and a slap in the face to fans of the game. Add in the bhanus and quitters, and it becomes clear that casting needs to reevaluate its process.

If she'd made to the final 3 and Charlie voted for another person and given some lame excuse such as "I want to help Kenzie start a family because Maria already has a family and is a lot older so she's not as needy as Kenzie"? It just seems like she only voted Kenzie because of Kenzie's reasoning for needing the money not so much that she played a better game than Charlie. Not something I agree with, I feel like the jury should always be voting for who they think played the best, but Maria's reasoning didn't have much to do with gameplay. I think most can agree Charlie played the best game of the final 3 but oh well. Congrats to Kenzie I'm still happy for her.
It's too bad that Charlie chose Maria as his "ride or die." I found Maria's behavior in so many ways to be offensive, such as when she acted so wounded ("daggers") by Venus at tribal council on account of her simply showing the courage and integrity to call Maria out on her beyond appalling, transparent and fake behavior in picking Q for the food reward, claiming her decision was based upon whose body was "breaking down" the most. Then she proceeds to leave the two who are literally STARVING and picks Q, the guy who just ate but whom she previously stated she wanted to "use" for his vote, i.e., to serve her own purposes. In reality, she should be ashamed of her behavior. I'm really glad she will see for herself the episode that airs during which virtually EVERYONE in the cast views Maria's behavior the exact same way as Venus did! She relentlessly badmouthed Ben prior to tribal council in a desperate attempt to avoid being voted out and then tenderly touches his shoulder during that same tribal council - so two faced and fake. While Kenzie had a great social game, I feel Charlie had the best all-around strategic, physical and social game. I guess it was too quiet a game for people to take note of. It was obvious that Maria withheld her vote for Charlie at final tribal out of spite and jealousy. If I were him, I would not have anything to do with her after her betrayal of him. I do not consider her the wise pillar of morality she envisions herself as being.

I loved maria the whole season until she voted for kenzie. It really showed that she's a sore loser.
We saw a clip of her when she was voted off that her vote would go not to friendship (Charlie) but who played the game better. So, her explanation of making fire decided it for her doesn't quite ring true. Especially during this interview, she then CHANGED HER STORY ONCE AGAIN, saying she was walking up the stairs Charlie, Kenzie. A lot of people have a feeling not wanting to vote for someone to win because they are upset with that person. They psychologically lie to themselves and make an excuse for doing what they did. I don't know if that happened here, but Maria couldn't even look at Charlie at the end. People with no hard feelings would not be acting in this way. I am happy for Kenzie.

There is little doubt in my mind that if Maria told Q to use his idol instead of telling him to not use it and Q used it and Charlie was voted out that Charlie would have voted for her.

Sorry. You can sympathize with someone wanting to do something for themselves and have a family but this is SURVIVOR! You don't throw away someone's whole game just on an emotional whim. She kept saying she's not a quiter but what one sees is she is a high achiever and can't stand to lose. Looking what they showed, this was bitter apples, period. If she didn't win, she wasn't going to let her "number" win. She was the one that didn't pull back her game when she became to noticable. Her taking Q was a numbers move period. I thought she could have been a great survivor player that people would talk about even not winning but her reasonings and...a look in the eyes she would get just won't make it so. I'm glad Kenzie won but Charlie was my number one (and it stayed that way) and played a more strategic game.
Fact. It took so long for them to make fire the jury thought Jeff was going to throw them matches. He has done this before. It was bad., saying I’m going to use this for me because I deserve it was honest by Kenzy, who we all like. Charly was also honest. But the game is not “who needs a million dollars”. If it continues to go that way it will not be the game it was up,until a few years ago. Maria was likeable while she was winning. A snake when she didn’t. If you are Charles ride or die and the vote is 5-3. If you vote for Charly it’s 4-4. Obviously. , and Ben would have picked Charly.

Survivor Season 46
This season of Survivor was decent.
That being said, if things continue to develop along the same lines, the show, the competition, the epic saga of the Survivor spectacle is finished.
The lastest developments are emblematic of the wider Western culture, even as many aspects of the competition reveal deeper truths about the human experience more broadly. We can learn from what we see unfolding in the Survivor universe, if we are so inclined.
One solid truth that historically has been beautifully illustrated by the Survivor experience is that true victory requires real sacrifice, and that in order to receive the deeply desired reward there has to be real valiant effort that strives to overcome adversity as blood and sweat water the seed that sprouts into a crown. We see that solid truth increasingly abandoned by the Survivor contestants. Jeff of course continues to reiterate these truths in that his objective observations expertly serenade the competitors as they battle through the competitions, but even he fails at critical moments to call out the shift towards rewarding those that complain the most as opposed to honouring those that work the hardest. Reminiscent of the boy from Boston in Mike’s Season crying about wanting reward becuase it was his birthday, Liz repeatedly dishonoured herself and her competitors in demanding reward even in the face of her failure to win and in her despicable refusal to honour the winner with the congratulations that they had earned. She further surrendered herself to the service of this destructive shift as she robbed Maria of the victory she was working to earn by helping another competitor to cheat her way into the winners circle. An individual battle robbed of the core principal of fair competition and neither Jeff Probst or the Survivor competitors could muster the honourable courage to call out this travesty.
Again a failure to recognize excellence and objective achievement was subverted as the jury refused to hand the crown to the contestant that clearly had done more to earn that honour. At least in this case Kenzie had worked to earn her position in the final three and most definitely deserved her seat there. Even so it was plainly stated that game performance was not the factor the jury used to distribute the title of Sole Survivor, and this development will in and of itself destroy the admirable essence of the Survivor competition.
These are just a few examples of the deeper cultural shifts being exemplified and that will, if allowed to continue thier growth in the Survivor realm, shall completely destroy the show and the competition we have all grown to love; the same can be said for the wider Western culture.
Outwit. Outplay. Outlast…Outneed?
Before final tribal Maria said if they can't connect the dots for her then they won't get her vote and then ended up going with her heart. Maybe both Charlie and Kenzie connected the dots and emotion tipped the scales. Now...was the emotion tied up with bitterness towards Charlie outlasting her when she possibly felt she'd carried him/?...maybe.

It's just so interesting that a woman who cried when her character was called into question (by Venus) lied straight to "Uncle Charlie's" face, her number 1 guy. And it was unrelated to strategy. Im not tryna hate the lady personally, but within the game she quickly became a villain.

To actually promise a vote to your partner and not give it to him was a horrible thing to do. Maria did not follow the rules of Survivor, Out Last, Out Wit, Out Play. She is a bitter horrible person who didn't vote for Charlie because she lost. If she ever is invited to play again that's when I stop watching. You can never trust a liar and she is a big one

The jury needs to stop asking about what the person will do with the money and stop basing their vote on that.. this is survivor not a frickn donation show!! They need to reward the BEST PLAYER OF THE GAME!! If it continues like this people will just start lying about what they will use the money for and will be creating sob stories
