The fact that Maria sees it as "well I'm sure he feels bad but it wasn't just me, I'm one of 5 people who didnt vote for him....." speaks loud. How can she not take their bond into account? He did not have that bond with the other 4 people and she was the only one who had given him the expectation of loyalty. This gives me the ick.

You can see the energy from the screen, she feels shamed and guilty; while Charlie still acts with his total integrity on the interview, consistent with how he did in the game, thus you can see his lightness of burden in his interviews when asked on these tough question!

I love Venus for being so clever and quick. She pointed out Maria picked Q for the feast when he already just ate because he was her ally. Maria acted like she was the loving mother figure there, but she was just a snake.

Charlie is now a Lawyer. I bet he's got future clients that are already lining up to work with him. He'll earn a million in his life before he's 30 ... and I pray he'll never look back at Maria's betrayal and her vindictive spirit. Maria stabbed Charlie in the back when she promised him he’d always have her vote at the end. Liar, liar and although she wanted her boys to be proud of the game she played and the majority was great, this last final act defined her in my opinion as this is what everyone will remember. Just bitter at Charlie getting her out and she made him pay in the end. Charlie wouldnt have done that to her. Just very sad decision on Maria’s part. I have ZERO respect for her now.

Maria says it was unfair that Liz helped Kenzie win the immunity challenge. So she doesn't respect Kenzie's game play, but she still voted for her to win based on how she's going to spend the million dollars. 🤔🤔

I have no words for Maria, I’m more tired of jury members basing their vote solely on who needs the money more, if you want to use that as a tie breaker fine but when you have people like Q saying that because she needed the money the most I gave it to her, then why play the game at all, just give it to the person who needed it the most. I mean I don’t think people want to watch an entire season see one person clearly play the best game and then they lose because they are pre law?? It’s an issue. Also one thing nobody is saying is if Maria gets to final 3 she probably wins, so thank god she didn’t get there because seeing who she was on the show I would’ve been more upset with that.
I think if it were about who needed the money, Ben would’ve won as the musician living with his parents, not Kenzie the business owner. Kenzie gave the most honest answer, that she would spend the money on herself, and that’s what the jury respected.

I agree. It's disappointing that Charlie wasn't given a fair shake at the final tribal in my opinion. His time for explaining big moves was cut down considerably and Tiff (who was Kenzie's ally) made it so he wouldn't be able to summarize all the big moves and strategy decisions that got him to the end. Nothing against Kenzie. I'm happy for her too, however, I believe Charlie 100% played the best out of the final 3.
Strategy vs social gameplay. They both had a great run and either one of them were very deserving, but yeah Maria was clownin. I would've loved to see who Ben votes for in a tiebreaker
Maria is a game player in real life and this was just an extension of that. Charlie mentioned having to distance himself from her after the show to protect his mental health because she was still gaming him.

Charlie said it took them forever to get a fire started, so, he was dumbfounded when she said because Kenzie made fire. He said the jury was kind of laughing at times because it was so bad. Also, Liz got her string lit like 4 times before Kinzie, that's literally the hardest thing to do, but Liz is horrible.
imagine being me that read the spoilers and knowing that Charlie is a losing finalist and a woman is the winner since before episode 1 and then based on the edit trying to figure out how the fuck did he lose with him having such a good strategic and social game...sad stretch of episodes at the end , especially after TV Gold Q and Venus were not there anymore to distract me from the harsh reality.

Maria was a major snake. She is just mad because she realized how Charlie started painting her as a threat and like he said, he picked up people whom she threw under the bus basically. Everyone said he followed her game, but he sort of used her as a shield to be a mastermind behind things. His strategy and game play was just as good as Kenzie's but in a different way. I am also pretty sure there was other challenges where someone helped someone else, maybe even from a different team. I thought there was a season just a few seasons ago when a team helped another team to get rid of someone else. These things have happened on Survivor.
Insane that Maria just tried to turn the story that she realized she was “alone on an island” during the Q vote… Oh, you mean the vote where YOU WERE TRYING TO VOTE OUT CHARLIE?! The delusion, hypocrisy and manipulation is palpable. The funny thing is I actually believed she has partially pure motives in voting for Kenzie, and then I hear her try to paint the story as though Charlie went after her first and left her “all alone”…. So sad for him. I hope Charlie plays again and wins it all. He played a near perfect game in my opinion and I’m a harsh critic.
Charlie told her about the Q vote, and he also made sure he was still lovely to her after she voted for him. Even if it was gameplay it was good gameplay. Can't believe she didn't vote for him at the end.
Quite honestly, she sounds narcissistic in your summation -- and it fits everything we saw on the show and in this interview. I'm glad Charlie realised he couldn't trust her outside the game either and has to distance himself from her for his own wellbeing.

Maria changed her story on when she decided to vote for Kenzie 3 times in interviews. First time she decided not to vote for Charlie was when she was voted off, she said she wasn't voting on friendship (Charlie) who played the best game. 2nd time she said it was because of the fire making she decided to vote for Kenzie and then on US Weekly she said she was walking up the stair debating Kenzie Charlie Kenzie Charlie. So, if that story was true, she still hadn't made up her mind. I believe those are all lies because I believe when she was voted off her feeling and saying I'm not voting for the winner based on friendship were her true feelings and bitterness towards Charlie. I knew then she would not be voting for him to win, and I was correct.
Ok let's get one thing straight. Yes, Maria is allowed to vote for whoever she wants, but clearly, her reasoning for it is out of jealousy for Charlie. If because Charlie wanted to vote her out, she clearly wanted to vote Charlie out before and it backfired on her so she was embarrassed about it. That's survivor. Charlie also told her who they were voting for that night. Her grandiose attitude prevented her from thinking he was right. She ignored him. She could of easily told Q to use his idol and vote out Charlie. She 100% blew it.
That is one point I would have to disagree with. As much as I don't like the reasoning behind Maria's vote, it makes Survivor such fascinating show to watch as each season would have juries with varying degrees of reasoning, game knowledge and respect, and as a player you would need to navigate through the web of personalities to convince enough person to vote for you to win
I always loved hearing, "Come on in Guys." And I am GLAD that they brought back the theme song. So matter how many seasons. the theme song is what identifies the game.

Charlie is just so lovely. I love how he is honest about his feelings about Maria - can't stand when people say it's all fine etc... This wasn't fine, and though he Is respectful of her, I am glad he has decided at this moment to be honest about not continuing a friendship. Was shocked that even during FTC, she low-key put him down. Was also shocked that she didn't take Liz for food - that was worse than what Q did. She doesn't come across as a nice lady at all.
Funny that she felt she could win because she had a strong, virtually flawless game, yet she voted for someone who had one compelling event (fire) and she like her reasons for what she would do with the money, Had Maria went to jury vote, how would she feel if someone else won instead of her for those same reason. Maria made her voting rationale all about herself. It was essentially “well I voted for Kenzie because she’s the most like ME”. She just highlighted Kenzie “being selfish” and “doing something for herself” for once and just circled it back to how that relates to her own life. Someone doesn’t have to live the same life story as you to be deserving of the money and title and I feel like that highlights of bit of self absorption in Maria. Also for her to say that she hopes a friendship can continue is kinda ridiculous. I feel like she isn’t grasping the depth of that betrayal and the impact of going back on a promise she made to him. She said that she was crying at watching herself get eliminated, how do you think she’d react if she were one vote away from winning and Charlie didn’t vote for her? I don’t think she’d take it so well based on how seriously she took the game.

If Maria ever plays again, it would be a wasted selection. She will be a very early boot. She has shown in spaids that she has no loyalty to her allies. I can't see her finding ANYBODY that would work with her. She shouldn't be asked back just to be voted out immediately.

Charlie and Kenzie are both really good player. I root for Kenzie, so I'm glad she won, but I also hope that Charlie can play again in the future so that he can have his second chance.
Actually my vote was on the Underdog, Liz. She was like Kenzie In helping others play the game but I would have liked, Liz to Win because she was just as self sacrificing.
Charlie is not just an incredible player but a seemingly great person! I am amazed at his honest heart and I loved how he only let himself be shocked about the vote for a split second before clapping for, hugging and celebrating Kenz. Maria is such a snaky and bizarre individual because she tries to pretend to be dignified but she also showed some MAJOR red flags in behavior and actions that would be indicative of a person that isn’t honest. There is absolutely nothing Maria can say that will make me believe she voted Kenzie out of anything but bitterness for Charlie and her not winning. If the shoe was on the other foot, I don't think there is even a 1% change Charlie wouldn't vote for her. I don't think what they are going to do with the money should matter in picking a winner. They played a game. That's what should have mattered. This 100% came down to her telling herself if she can't win, Charlie can't either. And it sucks, because up until that point, I really respected her game and I don't blame her being a little bitter. She probably deserved to win, but that's not Charlie's fault. No loyalty.

I feel like it's not uncommon for a member in trouble from a struggling tribe to make it to the end. They're experienced and maybe written off a little. I unfortunately didn't think Kenzie made enough plays, especially later on to warrant the title of sole survivor. Charlie was doing way more. Making friends like Kenzie, playing the game hard, laying low, and competing in challenges. Kenzie just made friends and laid low without making moves.
Maria was a villain, an amazing one at that. They kinda foreshadowed it. At the end of the day she earned her jury vote and she can vote however she likes, so I don't agree with people telling her how she 'should' have voted. That being said if she had voted Charlie and got a tie that would've been great TV and lowkey wish it happened
I understand why Maria didn't vote for Charlie, but she has to understand how messed up it was for her to not vote for her number 1. That's literally one of the points of making a connection with someone on the show in hopes that they will vote for you! In one respect.....Charlie DID win. As an attorney he is world wide known and as Brother EDEN says above, Charlie will have people lining up to have him as a lawyer. And now because Charlie handed his loss in a gracious way, He is a WINNER and winning hearts around the world. People know a Real Winner when they hear what they have to say, "It is easy to win" as Andy Griffith says. "But a real winner is in knowing how to lose." So Charlie won the hearts of everyone near and far. Far and Wide because he is a humble person. And the look of Pride in Jeff Probst eyes for Charlie hearing what Charlie said could win Charlie another spot on Survivor.
Charlie should have won. This jury was so hypocritical. Blamed Ben for playing an emotional game and then they all choose Kenzie based on her emotional story not her game.
I was a huge Maria fan UNTIL the jury! She based her decision on how Kenzie was going to change her life with the money and her fire in her eyes! Give me a frick’n break! Why play the game? She completely disregarded how Charlie played the game….she ruined the whole season. Everyone’s life would be changed winning a million dollars. She taught her kids that she can. It be trusted when it comes down to it!
I thought Maria was a strong woman and a strong player and I liked her for most of the season. Then came the Reward Challenge she won and how she handled that, and the conflicted reasoning she gave about it. She couldn't explain (wouldn't admit to) her FTC vote either and, after it, I began searching to try to see if she and Charlie were still friends. Remember, he was going to be "Uncle Charlie" and all of that. I don't think that's going to happen and, if not, what a tremendous loss to her, her family, and to her boys. Had she voted differently and Charlie had won, I can imagine what a fabulous "uncle" he would have been and how everyone would have benefitted from that relationship. But Maria was the "If I can't have it neither can you" type. And yes, Charlie did plot against her. But she was plotting against him at the same time! And I think we'd all be shocked if he wouldn't have voted for her in the end, had the positions been reversed. This is the first time I've watched Survivor in some years and my first "new era" show, I guess. But if this is the way it is now, if core alliances of two turn on each other at the end, I prefer old Survivor. None of this, for me, takes away from Kenzie's win, btw. I absolutely loved her and am happy for her win, her marriage and the coming baby boy they can securely welcome into the world this Fall. Best of luck and much happiness to them!

Tevin was also on the fence, and none of the final vote hinged on Maria, don't give her that much power. I loved watching you play, you were my #1 from day one. My number one!!!!! Maria is the definition of a complete narcissist. Her entire interview is ME ME ME Im so full of me. She thought it unfair for Liz to help Kinzie yet wasnt it unfair to deprive an obviously starving person the opportunity to eat? I dont blame Liz at all. In fact I applauded that move. Charly wants to start a family also. so it came down to her being mad over the letters from home and if she can’t win, he can’t win. Maria is a therapist but with all the lying, she can’t fool anyone. Charly’s answer right after all this happened shows his incredible maturity. What a man.
Maria clearly has no heart - because if she did, she would understand that voting “with her heart” would = voting for her Survivor Bestie. That’s how that works. It doesn’t mean voting for someone you had no personal connection with during the game because they are more poor than your bestie or because they are the same gender as you. That’s called voting based on a MENTAL LOGIC of perceived “financial fairness” and a “personal gender bias” that has *zero* to do with the heart. But again, she wouldn’t know that because she doesn’t have one. It must hurt like hell for Charlie to hear over and over again in Maria’s interviews that her vote for Kenzie was “from the heart unlike her vote for Charlie would have been” - like, WTF? That just means that she never actually FELT anything personal or deep or genuine for Charlie. Maybe because she’s incapable. Run Charlie, RUN!
Exactly. This wasn't a head over heart vote. If Maria had gone with her head (in terms of who played the best game) or heart (in terms of her best friend in the game) it's Charlie either way.
I never liked Maria at all. At the end of the game, Charlie was who I thought would and should win, but I wish Hunter had stayed longer. Such a good guy.
IMO Charlie has played one of the best games of survivor. The fact he kept his threat level so low to not receive a single vote until Maria and Q tried to blind side him shows how well he played. It's too bad about Maria and Q's decision. Think both of their reasons make them look really stupid.
Charlie is my favorite player of the new era. A genuine sweet heart and the absolute best casting choice in his archetype ever. No hyperbole at all and I'm a day one fan. .Go Charlie!
I thought Maria was fake after only a couple of episodes. And being 66 I have had a lot of practice figuring out weird coworkers personalities over the years. 😊 And she seemed possibly the two-faced type of girl, because she seemed smug, and too nice sometimes. Again. Fake. So it doesn't surprise me that she was bitter over getting voted off, and so she didn't vote for Charlie. Even though she told him she would. That's how two-faced people are. Yes, that's just part of the game, but it REALLY hurt Charlie's feelings. And he handled it so well at the time, even though most of us could see that he was shell-shocked. The fact that she voted for Kenzie came completely out of left field to Charlie. She said he had her vote! But now she's waffling, and changing her story, and like he said he already has plenty of friends. Now I have to watch some Maria exit interviews to see if I am right. 😛 I haven't seen any yet. I was fine with either Charlie or Kenzie winning. Charlie played the best strategic game out of the final 3 IMO. But around the merge I really started to admire Kenzie for her sunny smile through their total drought at Yanu, and her laid back approach to the game, and that she was getting to get to know the contestants. And she also had her wakeup call when she was left out of the vote, and she didn't get all pissed off. She just went to work in a better place because she realized she needed to be paying more attention. Anyway, Charlie was a delight to watch on Survivor 46. The All American boy. A Swifty. Fun loving. Genuine. Smart. And I like that he's being honest and vulnerable here. He doesn't need to save face. His integrity, loyalty and kindness have already been seen by millions. He doesn't have to scramble right now like Maria is probably doing, so he's just telling his truth. 💙
I just heard Charlie say that if he survived to the end and Maria did too by winning out on competitions that he would think his social game would win out over her physical game. Huh? Then the hell did survivor become of game of social and strategy over physical competitive positioning. A blend is nice but hell winning immunities means something in this game.
It comes down to character, Charlie has a trainload and Maria has zilch. I don’t think the jurors, the final 3 and even Jeff had a lot of respect for Maria after she was voted off. Her expressions while on the jury, final tribal and the after show were painful and you could see the distance between everyone and her. Kenzie was a good pick and played a great game. I think Charlie could be a good “fill in” for Jeff sometime.
Everyone has already said this, but I want to add in on the fun! MARIA SUCKS. She is a bad person and her whole thing about being a leader for her kids... is embarrassing now. She showed them that their mother is a snake. No disrespect to Kenzie (she is worthy of winning), but if Maria was as loyal and had integrity like she claimed, Charlie would have won.
How she can not vote for the player who was intertwined with her own game the whole time - yet she clearly thinks she's the bees knees of players - just urg. This jury was way too left of center making it about personal stories. 1 2nd the comments saying I'm happy for Kenzie (owning her game good for her) personally I would have voted Charlie (fantastic game play in each corner of the trifector) and very disappointed in Maria - for all the reasons people are already voicing.
Charlie is awesome! Maria is a snake. In every single way possible. Devious and manipulative. She hasn't fooled anyone. Kenzie is such an amazing and beautiful person! People should learn from her. But I readily agree with the masses, Charlie deserved to win! He was robbed. He was the best player. Such a great guy who I hope listens to everyone and never talks to Maria, the narcissist again. I’ve always felt like the jury vote is such a powerful card in your pocket players could and should utilize and play at earlier points in the game instead of waiting until the actual jury vote. Make a deal that if one person votes the other out, you lose their vote for the million and vice versa. Then you’ve got nothing to apologize for if you get blindsided and don’t vote for your #1 for the million. You can make such deals with multiple players. Find out who is really loyal and who stays loyal

Maria stabbed Charlie in the back when she promised him he’d always have her vote at the end. Liar, liar and although she wanted her boys to be proud of the game she played and the majority was great, this last final act defined her in my opinion as this is what everyone will remember. I have no words for Maria, I’m more tired of jury members basing their vote solely on who needs the money more, if you want to use that as a tie breaker fine but when you have people like Q saying that because she needed the money the most I gave it to her, then why play the game at all, just give it to the person who needed it the most. I mean I don’t think people want to watch an entire season see one person clearly play the best game and then they lose because they are pre law?? It’s an issue. I agree. It's disappointing that Charlie wasn't given a fair shake at the final tribal in my opinion. His time for explaining big moves was cut down considerably and Tiff (who was Kenzie's ally) made it so he wouldn't be able to summarize all the big moves and strategy decisions that got him to the end. Nothing against Kenzie. I'm happy for her too, however, I believe Charlie 100% played the best out of the final 3.

Maria is a game player in real life and this was just an extension of that. Charlie mentioned having to distance himself from her after the show to protect his mental health because she was still gaming him.

Charlie said it took them forever to get a fire started, so, he was dumbfounded when she said because Kenzie made fire. He said the jury was kind of laughing at times because it was so bad.
Also, Liz got her string lit like 4 times before Kinzie, that's literally the hardest thing to do, but Liz is horrible.

imagine being me that read the spoilers and knowing that Charlie is a losing finalist and a woman is the winner since before episode 1 and then based on the edit trying to figure out how the fuck did he lose with him having such a good strategic and social game...sad stretch of episodes at the end , especially after TV Gold Q and Venus were not there anymore to distract me from the harsh reality.

Maria was a major snake. She is just mad because she realized how Charlie started painting her as a threat and like he said, he picked up people whom she threw under the bus basically. Everyone said he followed her game, but he sort of used her as a shield to be a mastermind behind things. His strategy and game play was just as good as Kenzie's but in a different way. I am also pretty sure there was other challenges where someone helped someone else, maybe even from a different team. I thought there was a season just a few seasons ago when a team helped another team to get rid of someone else. These things have happened on Survivor.

Maria changed her story on when she decided to vote for Kenzie 3 times in interviews. First time she decided not to vote for Charlie was when she was voted off, she said she wasn't voting on friendship (Charlie) who played the best game. 2nd time she said it was because of the fire making she decided to vote for Kenzie and then on US Weekly she said she was walking up the stair debating Kenzie Charlie Kenzie Charlie. So, if that story was true, she still hadn't made up her mind. I believe those are all lies because I believe when she was voted off her feeling and saying I'm not voting for the winner based on friendship were her true feelings and bitterness towards Charlie. I knew then she would not be voting for him to win, and I was correct.
Ok let's get one thing straight. Yes, Maria is allowed to vote for whoever she wants, but clearly, her reasoning for it is out of jealousy for Charlie. If because Charlie wanted to vote her out, she clearly wanted to vote Charlie out before and it backfired on her so she was embarrassed about it. That's survivor. That is one point I would have to disagree with. As much as I don't like the reasoning behind Maria's vote, it makes Survivor such fascinating show to watch as each season would have juries with varying degrees of reasoning, game knowledge and respect, and as a player you would need to navigate through the web of personalities to convince enough person to vote for you to win

Was shocked that even during FTC, she low-key put him down. Was also shocked that she didn't take Liz for food - that was worse than what Q did. She doesn't come across as a nice lady at all.

Funny that she felt she could win because she had a strong, virtually flawless game, yet she voted for someone who had one compelling event (fire) and she like her reasons for what she would do with the money, Had Maria went to jury vote, how would she feel if someone else won instead of her for those same reason. Ponder that Maria, and think about what you did to Charlie.

So she pretty much discarded 26 days of being with Charlie for the fire making challenge. I dont buy it but congrats to Kenzie. As you can see the animosity towards Maria has been pretty strong.

Maria made her voting rationale all about herself. It was essentially “well I voted for Kenzie because she’s the most like ME”. She just highlighted Kenzie “being selfish” and “doing something for herself” for once and just circled it back to how that relates to her own life. Someone doesn’t have to live the same life story as you to be deserving of the money and title and I feel like that highlights of bit of self absorption in Maria.
Also for her to say that she hopes a friendship can continue is kinda ridiculous. I feel like she isn’t grasping the depth of that betrayal and the impact of going back on a promise she made to him. She said that she was crying at watching herself get eliminated, how do you think she’d react if she were one vote away from winning and Charlie didn’t vote for her? I don’t think she’d take it so well based on how seriously she took the game.

Charlie and Kenzie are both really good player. I root for Kenzie, so I'm glad she won, but I also hope that Charlie can play again in the future so that he can have his second chance.
Actually my vote was on the Underdog, Liz. She was like Kenzie In helping others play the game but I would have liked, Liz to Win because she was just as self sacrificing.
Charlie is not just an incredible player but a seemingly great person! I am amazed at his honest heart and I loved how he only let himself be shocked about the vote for a split second before clapping for, hugging and celebrating Kenz. I haven't heard him say anything even close to how he deserved to win or how Kenz didnt, clearly he is only bothered by the betrayal of Maria (as he should be!) and is still nothing but class. Ms. Swift would be proud!

Maria is such a snaky and bizarre individual because she tries to pretend to be dignified but she also showed some MAJOR red flags in behavior and actions that would be indicative of a person that isn’t honest.

There is absolutely nothing Maria can say that will make me believe she voted Kenzie out of anything but bitterness for Charlie and her not winning. If the shoe was on the other foot, I don't think there is even a 1% change Charlie wouldn't vote for her. I don't think what they are going to do with the money should matter in picking a winner. They played a game. That's what should have mattered.
This 100% came down to her telling herself if she can't win, Charlie can't either. And it sucks, because up until that point, I really respected her game and I don't blame her being a little bitter. She probably deserved to win, but that's not Charlie's fault. No loyalty.

I feel like it's not uncommon for a member in trouble from a struggling tribe to make it to the end. They're experienced and maybe written off a little.
I unfortunately didn't think Kenzie made enough plays, especially later on to warrant the title of sole survivor. Charlie was doing way more. Making friends like Kenzie, playing the game hard, laying low, and competing in challenges. Kenzie just made friends and laid low without making moves.
Maria was a villain, an amazing one at that. They kinda foreshadowed it. At the end of the day she earned her jury vote and she can vote however she likes, so I don't agree with people telling her how she 'should' have voted. That being said if she had voted Charlie and got a tie that would've been great TV and lowkey wish it happened
I understand why Maria didn't vote for Charlie, but she has to understand how messed up it was for her to not vote for her number 1. That's literally one of the points of making a connection with someone on the show in hopes that they will vote for you! Also, Maria didn't take ole girl who hadn't eaten anything in that reward, and she didn't have a good reason for it (imo).

Maria did not vote for Charlie as she was pissed that her plan to vote out Charlie failed and instead Charlie was able to vote out Q and Marie, MARIA WAS A SORE LOSER PERIOD. Thee was always something in her eyes that it is like a dagger. Charlie was classy and should have won, Charlie is graceful!
In one respect.....Charlie DID win. As an attorney he is world wide known and as Brother EDEN says above, Charlie will have people lining up to have him as a lawyer. And now because Charlie handed his loss in a gracious way, He is a WINNER and winning hearts around the world. People know a Real Winner when they hear what they have to say, "It is easy to win" as Andy Griffith says. "But a real winner is in knowing how to lose." So Charlie won the hearts of everyone near and far. Far and Wide because he is a humble person. And the look of Pride in Jeff Probst eyes for Charlie hearing what Charlie said could win Charlie another spot on Survivor.

I was a huge Maria fan UNTIL the jury! She based her decision on how Kenzie was going to change her life with the money and her fire in her eyes! Give me a frick’n break! Why play the game? She completely disregarded how Charlie played the game….she ruined the whole season. Everyone’s life would be changed winning a million dollars. She taught her kids that she can. It be trusted when it comes down to it!

I thought Maria was a strong woman and a strong player and I liked her for most of the season. Then came the Reward Challenge she won and how she handled that, and the conflicted reasoning she gave about it. She couldn't explain (wouldn't admit to) her FTC vote either and, after it, I began searching to try to see if she and Charlie were still friends. Remember, he was going to be "Uncle Charlie" and all of that. I don't think that's going to happen and, if not, what a tremendous loss to her, her family, and to her boys. Had she voted differently and Charlie had won, I can imagine what a fabulous "uncle" he would have been and how everyone would have benefitted from that relationship. But Maria was the "If I can't have it neither can you" type. And yes, Charlie did plot against her. But she was plotting against him at the same time! And I think we'd all be shocked if he wouldn't have voted for her in the end, had the positions been reversed.
This is the first time I've watched Survivor in some years and my first "new era" show, I guess. But if this is the way it is now, if core alliances of two turn on each other at the end, I prefer old Survivor.
None of this, for me, takes away from Kenzie's win, btw. I absolutely loved her and am happy for her win, her marriage and the coming baby boy they can securely welcome into the world this Fall. Best of luck and much happiness to them!

I hate Maria's justification as to why she voted for Kenzie its not about what will you do with the million It is about who is the ultimate survivor. No amount of explanations can correct her vindictiveness. Glad Charlie closed the door on her. How can she long for a friendship with Charlie after exposing her evil self.

And he still won some money, they get money for making it that far. I would rather see Charlie over Q --- Q is charismatic but Charlie is calculated and intelligent. Kenzie just made those female connections and there was empathy for her situation. But Charlie up there, final 3, with other players would have won, absolutely. But also my words to Charlie would be this, Charlie you are so handsome, so intelligent, such a seasoned Survivor player - so cheer up and don't let Maria's vote affect your life negatively. Tevin was also on the fence, and none of the final vote hinged on Maria, don't give her that much power. I loved watching you play, you were my #1 from day one. My number one!!!!! If I ever played Survivor and they ask me who my favorite player is, it's you.
Maria is the definition of a complete narcissist. Her entire interview is ME ME ME Im so full of me. She thought it unfair for Liz to help Kinzie yet wasnt it unfair to deprive an obviously starving person the opportunity to eat? I dont blame Liz at all. In fact I applauded that move. Maria comes off as a self centered, petty, spoiled ,vindictive woman. And the only reason she deprived charlie of her vote was to selfishly "get even" because he concluded her play.

And it might be that she's being partially honest about why she voted for Kenzie: Maria could project herself on to her.

Best interview of Charly. For me Charly won it , but in this era it helps to have a I need the money story. (Kenzy is awesome. Not a victim. Charly wants to start a family also. so it came down to her being mad over the letters from home and if she can’t win, he can’t win. Maria clearly has no heart - because if she did, she would understand that voting “with her heart” would = voting for her Survivor Bestie. That’s how that works. It doesn’t mean voting for someone you had no personal connection with during the game because they are more poor than your bestie or because they are the same gender as you. That’s called voting based on a MENTAL LOGIC of perceived “financial fairness” and a “personal gender bias” that has *zero* to do with the heart. But again, she wouldn’t know that because she doesn’t have one.
It must hurt like hell for Charlie to hear over and over again in Maria’s interviews that her vote for Kenzie was “from the heart unlike her vote for Charlie would have been” - like, WTF? Exactly. This wasn't a head over heart vote. If Maria had gone with her head (in terms of who played the best game) or heart (in terms of her best friend in the game) it's Charlie either way.
I never liked Maria at all. At the end of the game, Charlie was who I thought would and should win, but I wish Hunter had stayed longer. Such a good guy.

IMO Charlie has played one of the best games of survivor. The fact he kept his threat level so low to not receive a single vote until Maria and Q tried to blind side him shows how well he played. It's too bad about Maria and Q's decision. Think both of their reasons make them look really stupid.

I thought Maria was fake after only a couple of episodes. And being 66 I have had a lot of practice figuring out weird coworkers personalities over the years. 😊 And she seemed possibly the two-faced type of girl, because she seemed smug, and too nice sometimes. Again. Fake. So it doesn't surprise me that she was bitter over getting voted off, and so she didn't vote for Charlie. Even though she told him she would. That's how two-faced people are. Yes, that's just part of the game, but it REALLY hurt Charlie's feelings. And he handled it so well at the time, even though most of us could see that he was shell-shocked. The fact that she voted for Kenzie came completely out of left field to Charlie. She said he had her vote! But now she's waffling, and changing her story, and like he said he already has plenty of friends. Now I have to watch some Maria exit interviews to see if I am right. 😛 I haven't seen any yet. I was fine with either Charlie or Kenzie winning. Charlie played the best strategic game out of the final 3 IMO. But around the merge I really started to admire Kenzie for her sunny smile through their total drought at Yanu, and her laid back approach to the game, and that she was getting to get to know the contestants. And she also had her wakeup call when she was left out of the vote, and she didn't get all pissed off. She just went to work in a better place because she realized she needed to be paying more attention. Anyway, Charlie was a delight to watch on Survivor 46. The All American boy. A Swifty. Fun loving. Genuine. Smart. And I like that he's being honest and vulnerable here. He doesn't need to save face. His integrity, loyalty and kindness have already been seen by millions. He doesn't have to scramble right now like Maria is probably doing, so he's just telling his truth. 💙

I just heard Charlie say that if he survived to the end and Maria did too by winning out on competitions that he would think his social game would win out over her physical game. Huh? Then the hell did survivor become of game of social and strategy over physical competitive positioning. A blend is nice but hell winning immunities means something in this game.
Maria is such a victim. A painful moment? Maybe for Liz, she was hungry. Not for you. Maria is a horrible human.
It comes down to character, Charlie has a trainload and Maria has zilch. I don’t think the jurors, the final 3 and even Jeff had a lot of respect for Maria after she was voted off. Her expressions while on the jury, final tribal and the after show were painful and you could see the distance between everyone and her. Kenzie was a good pick and played a great game. I think Charlie could be a good “fill in” for Jeff sometime.
Everyone has already said this, but I want to add in on the fun! MARIA SUCKS. She is a bad person and her whole thing about being a leader for her kids... is embarrassing now. She showed them that their mother is a snake. No disrespect to Kenzie (she is worthy of winning), but if Maria was as loyal and had integrity like she claimed, Charlie would have won.

Charlie is awesome! Maria is a snake. In every single way possible. Devious and manipulative. She hasn't fooled anyone. Kenzie is such an amazing and beautiful person! People should learn from her. I’ve always felt like the jury vote is such a powerful card in your pocket players could and should utilize and play at earlier points in the game instead of waiting until the actual jury vote. Make a deal that if one person votes the other out, you lose their vote for the million and vice versa. Then you’ve got nothing to apologize for if you get blindsided and don’t vote for your #1 for the million. You can make such deals with multiple players. Find out who is really loyal and who stays loyal
