I have one, and it’s still my favorite Glock (of the four that I own). For me, the Gen2 G17 is pretty much the definitive Glock, and the only one that matters. I think Glock should do a reissue of them; they have no idea how well they’d sell.
just picked one up in very similar condition a few days ago, complete with the Tupperware and 3 spare mags plus the OG cleaning kit.. no speed loader, but i have one already.. paid $460 for everything, and the guy said his dad bought it back in '91 and fired it maybe five times.. as in 5 rounds, not 5 magazines.. sooo happy with it :)
Great find. Your serial number means it does not need the voluntary upgrades from 1991. Two letter prefix means it failed the atf drop test and glock will upgrade the “black” internals. But never send it back, keep it stock. Yours is good to go and carry. Yours truly, Glock nerd.
You are very lucky that it has the relief holes for the locking block. It’s such a gamble to send frames to Glock to have them drilled in, they have a history of screwing up.
I found a Glock 17 Gen 2 for $278. It looks in great shape I’m just thinking there is something wrong with it at my local pawnshop? What’s the recall I heard about and did I miss out on a great deal ??
Just found a bnib gen 2 g17 immaculate condition for $500 that a friend is willing to sell to me....got a few 17's already gen-3&4 so im on the fence aaaaaah?
You can't go wrong with a Glock. I personally would choose the 19 before I choose the 17. The 19 to me is just the perfect size, no bigger and no smaller than it needs to be. But you just can't go wrong with ANY Glock.
@@usedgundude1035 I just came across a almost mint gen2 glock 17c with the tupperware box and original mags and loader.. any idea what something like that would be worth?
Bought my gen 2 glock 17 in 1992, put thousands of rounds through it and it's never malfuntioned, ever.

Gen 3 the best 👌🏾
One of my favorite guns.
It is awesome, love the vintage. UGD
@@usedgundude1035 Gen1 looks nicer.

Check the magazines. Pre-ban magazines hold some serious value. Pre-1994 production Glock 17 magazines sell for $200 ea online.
I still got mine. Bought in 1991.

The fact Glock is in it's 5th Gen says all one needs to know. They change the gun world. UGD
Look like it's in very good condition!👍👍
Thanks Freedom, love finding the oddballs, UGD

I have heard some stories. My eyes are blinded by my Glock love at time. Thanks for the view, UGD
can someone please tell me what size bb it takes? 4.5mm too small and 6mm to big and I can't find 5mm
Just bought one 17 of corse

Nice older Glock....Good stuff....
Heading to the range this morning, Gen 2 goodness and coffee in the morning. UGD
@@usedgundude1035 Good morning then...
really love glock gen 2 because of half life game
I bought mine in 1991.

You should of jumped on that deal.I have never heard of a Glock recall

Internal Hammer 4 inch barrel ya
My Gen.2 17 bought in 1991, has maybe 100 rounds through it. MINT
That honestly makes me sad man what a waste
I’ve got this pistol. About the same condition. Anyone know how I can put a red dot on this without major work?
There are rear sight replacement bases. Not sure if they are solid. Search that up. Thanks for the view, UGD
That wear is from sitting in its box.
I've got two gen II 17s and a gen II 19. I never liked the grooves that much.
So did buyers, I remember how big a deal the young Glock dudes made at the "new" awesome 5th Gen with no finger groves. UGD
You are still in the good gun picking you haven't changed
Thanks guny, try to find an oddball to bring here. UGD
@@usedgundude1035 good to hear that
why are the rear sights backwards?
I prefer blackout rear. When I shoot I only use the front sight. I blackout all my carry guns. Thanks, UGD

stupenda!! ne vorrei trovare una in eguali condizioni! se qualcuno in italia ne possiede una e la vuole vendere mi contatti pure !
Bro.. is this the one I think it is...we need to talk😉
Shoot me a message usedgundude@gmail.com Thanks Hoffmann
Is that gen 2?
Yes, Gen 2. Gen 1 will have the pebble grip and Gen 3 has the finger groves. Thanks for the view, UGD
"New in the box"
*Sights are on backwards
Yep they are. The owner, like the UGD, prefers black out rear. I only shoot off the front sight. I never see the back sight. UGD

BNIB....... Sights on backwards
Never noticed. I don't ever look at the rear sights when shoot. I'm the wrong guy to inspect sights :) UGD
@@usedgundude1035 Still in great condition, but typical Armslist mo.
Hell yeah I'd buy that bad boy ALL DAY LOOOOONG
Cool hot rod that feels awesome, thanks Fabian, UGD
Easy Answer: Not Really
