Love the crayon story. The girl next to you had the crayons. I hope so much she shared them with your little self! I also love colors! My Grandma’s saying was, “Oh, my stars and garters.” Lol! Beautiful fabrics. So glad you two are friends. Love your videos! ❤️
My mom says oh my stars! I’m making 8 point stars( with different center blocks - like pin wheels and hour glass in the middle of the stars!) I’m looking for a good quilt to put them in - and something for patriotic- 😍LOVE all of theses!! Such good quilts!!!
*Quilts in a Jiffy* sure look different in *Kaffe!* What a difference a *Kaffe makes!* (I mean, Kaffe make the quilts look like a whole new book of patterns!)
My favorite designer is Kaffe Fassett….my grandchildren go bananas when they see I have some of his BRIGHT & BOLD fabrics in my fabric closet! Than you for the heads up, I’ll be watching for these fabrics! Happy Holidays
I absolutely loved all the vibrant colors. They were all beautiful kits. My favorite part of the video was that your quilt samples matched the kits you were sharing. Made it so much easier to visualize what the finished quilt will look like. Another outstanding video. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful talents with all of us.
Donna, that was a sweet mother memory. Fran, I love that top you are wearing. You guys make the most beautiful quilts I have ever seen. That caladium fabric knocked my socks off. Spectacular!
I’ve never used Kaffe fabrics. But I got a scrap bag that has some. I’m going to try making a mug rug with it. All those patterns are great! Love to watch you two. Donna thank you for sharing the memory of your mom.
The reminder about getting a new box of crayons, and how it felt to have all those colors to use really hit home. My love of crayons as a child led to a passion for oil painting, but when my children started arriving I made a conscious decision to give them up due to some of the toxicity associated with them. It didn't take me long to move into quilting! And all because of crayons!
I have your book, "Quilts in a Jiffy" and I never would have guessed that your beautiful batiks quilt in the video was the same as the quilt pictured in the book. Batiks really make a difference in the quilts.
Fantastic Kaffe. Love how his name just happens to be in the geometric you showed. I saw it when you did the close up of the last quilt right around at the 14:08 mark. Love it so sneaky 😉 Thank You for showing us these beautiful new fabrics!
I just realized that the wonderful print you showed in several colorways in the kits says Kaffe on it! Also I would love to see a video comparing kits made with Kaffe Fasset fabrics with other kits in different fabrics. Thank you.
So, nobody else noticed the mistake in the Landslide quilt? Some of the half square triangle blocks are turned the wrong way. I think Donna noticed it when she started pointing out the diagonal effect, which was not present in the mistaken layout. Watch again and see her reaction.
@@FabricCafe Robyn, Here's a suggestion : pls try selecting 1 or 2 colors from his prints you're using, but then choose it in a solid. That's what I plan to do w/ a Jelly Roll of his fabrics I must have won in a raffle.
Hey Dorothy, our 3-yard quilt patterns are for lap sized quilts which are approx. 45 x 60 inches. However there are enlargement instructions in the books that give instructions on Twin and Queen/King sizes!
I had an entire cabinet built just for my Kaffe fabric. Crazy good! ❤

Please make a show comparing Kaffe fabrics with other fabrics!
Are you wanting to see the same quilts using Kaffe and then some other style of fabric?
@@FabricCafe yes, please! That would be wonderful. I love seeing how fabric choices can make patterns look entirely different.
@@janhatchett7834 I'll add it to the list. Thank you for your suggestion! Donna

Yes yes would love to see quilts you have done in all the different lines.

In the geometrical fabric look for the word kaffe in the pattern

Quilts are beautiful in Kaffe fabrics. I would be interested to see what the quilts would look like in Kaffe fabrics or ordinary cotton fabrics.
I just noticed Kaffe's name in that geometric pattern.
So, nobody else noticed the mistake in the Landslide quilt? Some of the half square triangle blocks are turned the wrong way. I think Donna noticed it when she started pointing out the diagonal effect, which was not present in the mistaken layout. Watch again and see her reaction.
I'd love to see a comparison of Jason Yenter fabrics.
I've not carried his fabric before. Donna
What would you recommend for the Roman Holiday pattern using Kaffe?
The fabric we used for Supernova would look great!
I have always had a problem with Kaifeng in what to put with it….I got it now, pair it with more Kaifeng😎
It's amazing how it just works! Donna

Can you please show your backing choices with these quilts??
Hi Marianne! We will work on incorporating those into our show! I know a lot of people would like to get a peak behind the quilts 😊
Please compare same design in different fabrics
Anyone else see the word “Kaffe” in the geometric fabric?
what size quilts do the 3 yd quilts make? I like to make queen size quilts.
Hey Dorothy, our 3-yard quilt patterns are for lap sized quilts which are approx. 45 x 60 inches. However there are enlargement instructions in the books that give instructions on Twin and Queen/King sizes!
Know I know to pair Kaffe with Kaffe using the color…I have certainly struggled in the past.
Awesome! Donna
