Great video...enjoyed the memories...had lot of fog when we were there...camped on that grassy flowered shore and I was the only one to see the caribou that I just knew would come there...hope you cooked and ate rhubarb from the lighthouse...loved your sketches...thanks for sharing!
Superior is one of Canada's most beautiful destinations. I was born on the lake (Thunder Bay) but I've never fished on this lake. I am hoping to do a day trip there next month with my kayak. Cheers
Thanks for the tour of the islands - really beautiful area! I'll be heading up there soon for a week of dinghy sailing and exploring the islands myself... I noticed in one of your shots that you have a map of the islands that shows campsites and other details - I'd love it if you could point me to where you found it. Thanks! :)
I just printed out a screenshot from Google maps and wrote down a few sites from research online. I’d share it with you but am traveling and don’t have it with me. If you ask me again in a few weeks I’ll send it to you.
@@Wander_for_good Thanks very much, Mark - that's very kind of you. I liked your idea of compiling your own from the various disparate online resources and so I've started making my own as well... The exploring will be half the fun, I think! :)
@@lifewithCody_ I wound up compiling my own from various sources on the internet. I actually replied to your question on my channel some months ago... my offer to email you what I've got still stands if you send me your address.
Slate Islands is on my bucket list, I dont live too far from Superior. On fact next month I want to launch my kayak there for the first time ever. Think Silver Islet near Thunder Bay. Cheers
I do feel music adds a cheese factor to videos. I rarely use it, also I try to keep all the content my own. Only time I use music is for a photo/video montage. But recently I just been dubbing nature sounds over these. I capture lots of loons, frogs, bird sounds on camera so why not use that? 🤷♂️

Thanks for the comments Sharon. Glad you saw a caribou! It really is a special place. Cheers
Beautiful video! Well done. It makes me realize how wonderful Superior is and why it’s loved by so many.
Thanks!

Great video... managed to get through to the end despite the lame music. Kayak vids seem to have the worst music.
