Cole is by far stronger than Delsin, if you haven't played Infamous 2 where Cole reaches his full potential he'll literally summon a straight up lightning bolt that no one can defend and it defeats conduits in 1 blast

I like that half of this fight was just them shoving each other and the other one groaning and slowly getting up from it. Bullets? No problem. Impaled by rocks? That's fine. Squashed by an ice boulder? All good. A slight push? Lie on the ground for 30 seconds and groan.
In my opinion, Cole would easily wreck Delsin. Delsin might have the ability to absorb any powers, but Cole is more experienced. He's quick and focused. He's fully mastered his own prime ability. Yeah, Cole will find a way like always. Can't beat an original.
Cole wouldn't win mostly because Delsin has 4 powers which he has also mastered. Delsin can even absorb Cole's power. Delsin can wrap him in concrete like Augustin does and he does that as well since he did that to Augastine in the end. But either way they wouldn't fight because they fight for the same thing; freedom of the conduits and peace between conduits and normal people.
True, but let's not forget cole has the Ionic storm power and Ionic vortex plus if Delsin wraps him up with concrete, Cole, if he's quick enough could just wrap him up with ice. another thing, if Cole was the Cole in the bad ending he would've been the beast and that is way too much for Delsin to handle.

Oh, the fan wars are strong in the comments section. Putting favorites aside, I think it is safe to assume that Cole would win in a 1 on 1 fight against Delsin. Why? The reason being that Cole has had experience being a conduit longer than Delsin. In addition, Cole has had time to master and hone his abilities. Having access to different Conduit abilities doesn't make you strong (unless you know how to use them properly). Delsin probably had time to practice his powers in about what, 2 days? (I don't know how long Delsin took to utilize his powers because the game doesn't say anything about the timeline) Anyway, my point is that Cole is an experience fighter. He is smarter, stronger, and more experienced.

Gonna try to be constructive about this... The way the battle started was pretty bad. There wasn't even an excuse for the characters to want to fight each other. The acting was pretty cringe-worthy, with overreactions to damage like they really couldn't take a punch, and way too much passion in small actions. Not to mention the lack of Delsin's usual smugness. The choreography for the fight was pretty badly planned OR badly executed, really doesn't feel urgent or genuine, and the characters go out of their way to give each other a chance to avoid a big strike instead of going for an easy finish. The lack of Delsin's use of neon, video and concrete was also weird, but I can understand that it would be a lot of extra work. Finally, the most glaring issue... Delsin touched Cole SEVERAL times and didnt absorb his power. If he did, the fight would be over, as he would be stuck with an unfamiliar power and unable to fight back, with nobody to hurl blast cores at him to even the odds.
If that's true, then it's a bit of a strange decision to put THIS MUCH effort into a short film with little to no knowledge about one of the characters involved. I mean, even from the POV of the artists behind it, it would have to be a lot of frustrating discoveries once the game did come out, right?
One small thing. I know this was most likely made to look cool, but people tend to forget Delsin's powers are not the four you use in game, but to absorb powers of other conduits by touching them. Would have been a kickass turn around in the fight when all of a sudden Cole ends up just charging Delsin.
Technically, Delsin would give himself a severe disadvantage if he did that. Whenever he absorbs a conduit's powers, he only gains a very basic version of those powers. Cole would be able to easily overpower him at that point.
Not only that, but there is a chance where he won't even be able to use the power in the 1st place, like with Video and Concrete. He needed to absorb Blast Cores to even use the standard shot of the move. If he absorbs Cole's Lightning, then it could leave him defenseless unless he gets at least 1 blast core.

Okay so we got Cole MaCgrath, hero of Empire City and Savior of New Marias only needed Zeke(if you call Zeke help) electricity and a amp thing (meele weapon) to defeat all the evil conduits in Empire City and New Marias but the beast as well Then we have Delsin who needed 4 power types (all of which seem to do almost the same damn thing) and help from his brother, who he got killed, Fetch, Eugene and even Zeke for side help, to take down Augustine. Delsin's pretty cool but he'll always live in Cole's shadow.
Okay delsin has fought eugene who is stronger than any of the conduit's cole fought except for the beast which cole could only beat with the RFI, And delsin really only used one power to beat augustine which was concrete and he could have done anything cole had done with just one of his powers frankly pretty easily. He beat hank when he barely could use his powers and didn't have half of his abilities. Delsin is already the strongest conduit to live and is only going to get stronger and get more powers.

What use is a thunderstorm if the only thing it would hit are the ground and a cloud of smoke? And, since smoke is not known for shitting it's pants during a thunderstorm, it is nothing more but a waste of energy. Delsin can transform into smoke, or into neon (at least into the latter, he can transform for an unlimited amount of time, literally becoming invulnerable). So, if we assume that Delsin developed that ability (which makes Delsin faster than Cole can move his body), he can become intangible for Cole for as long as he wants and strike back whenever Cole is vulnerable. Delsin wins.

Aztec King The only things of these that Delsin did not face are vampires and the beast. Conduits are Delsin's everyday trashmobs - the lesser conduits who possess Brooke Augustine's Terrakinesis. Also, he wrecked a whole army of them. He beat the shit out of a giant laser shooting angel in it's own realm and a giant concrete behemoth. Vampires are not stronger or even close to any experienced conduit (like Augustine for example), and Delsin might as well be able to hold his ground against the beast, which is exactly what Cole did until the RFI (which in fact did kill the beast and only had Cole as a medium to be charged) activated. Plus, unlike Cole, Delsin has the potential to combine all the abilities of the strongest conduits in existence, such as Kuo, Nix, John White, Cole/Kessler, and, as seen, Eugene, Fetch, Augustine, Hank and even something like Bertrand.
To be fair, this video was published before Infamous Second Son even came out, so while there is technically only one rendition of Delsin where he is still technically new to being a conduit, Cole has already fought the Beast and all that so he is of course stronger. With that said though, there are probably and hopefully still more Infamous games to come, so for all we know the next game and the game after that could easily also feature Delsin, and he could easily acquire more core relays not only for the powers he already has but for powers we could possibly see in the future. Eventually, Sucker Punch could make Delsin just as strong as Cole...

Is everybody forgetting that Delsin doesn't like electricity like the electric wires on the building where Augustine was? so that means Cole can just do an Ionic storm on Delsin and there you go job done.
Of course Delsin doesn't like electricity, because he does not possess the power itself. Cole didn't like electricity as well before he became a conduit. Before absorbing the Smoke powers, Delsin would not like to get hit by a mix of smoke, ash and ember. The only common weakness conduits share seems to be water.
The problem with the logic most of you are using is that you are comparing them by how they fare against their enemies which isn't accurate because they are not fighting their enemies they are fighting each other. It depends on what level of training these guys have at the start of the fight. If it is their basic power for each, I would give it to Cole because Smoke is really useless against electricity, which is much more expansive in use. Keep in mind smoke is not fire, his chains conduct electricity, and the smoke is only good for evasion. Cole has dealt with plenty of enemies good at evasion. (Even Vampires in the DLC if you consider that cannon for his abilities). On the other hand, let's analyze all of Delsin's powers max. Cole's max has expanded his powers beyond natural genetics, (RFI and such) so just the power transfer won't bring Delsin to Cole's level. He also has Fire and/or Ice. Video and Light can be drained because they are reliant on electricity (at least how Delsin uses it). The smoke is still useless against electricity. Only the concrete is a serious force to be reckoned with. But keep in mind how Cole has super strength. Every time he leaps from stories high buildings and crashes to the ground, leaving huge cracks in the....that's right concrete. So I don't think that alone will cause too much of a problem. Electricity/Fire/and Ice pretty much match or trump all Delsin's powers. I was waiting for an Ionic Storm tornado to suck up the smoke, or lightning storm to sweep up the entire place leaving nowhere to run.
Cole would win. I'm not just saying this because I like Cole, it's because Delsin is still a human as well as a conduit. Cole could let Delsin copy his powers, and then drain the life force out of Delsin. But then again Delsin could do the same to Cole.

Maybe because Cole didn't get his powers naturally and got it from the explosion because if you think about it delsin could've gotten his concrete powers a lot faster but maybe he didn't get them because they weren't natural powers

People keep saying that Delsin would be healed by Cole's electricity or vice-versa if Delsin were to absorb his powers. This couldn't be more wrong. There are several examples throughout the series that prove that energy from another conduit is different than energy found on the field. As soon as it's weaponsed, it hurts you. Cole vs. Kessler, Delsin vs Hank in the beginning, Delsin vs Fetch, Delsin was hurt by Hank's smoke blast near the end of the game, and hell, the entire point of Delsin vs. Augustine. Being hit by the same power you have does NOT heal you, or help you in any way. Nor can you drain them, except in the case of "fake" conduits like the DUP Soldiers, but you still can't drain them when they're alive/conscious, nor can you drain their attacks. Second point, electricity does not equal video and especially not neon. Neon is a bloody gas. Video and Electricity are completely different powers in the games, it's obvious. The only similarity is that they might be able to drain the same power source: a television, but really they're draining two different parts of it. Honestly, the way I see this fight going is that Delsin fights Cole with his own powers long enough to get close and steal his. While Delsin has fought and beaten conduits with weaker versions of their powers in the past, this is due in part to "Protagonist Syndrome", a syndrome I just made up, but in the long run is quite relevant. The protagonist can always beat the odds and come out on top, yes, but we need to remember that since they're both protagonists, they can both overcome adversity. Let's analyse what powers Delsin had after each absorption. Hank: Smoke dash. Melee attack. Fetch: Neon Run. Melee attack? Maybe? Hover. Eugene: Absolutely nothing. We don't really know why, but he got nothing to start with. Augustine: I believe... the shot? and melee? Been a while for this one to be honest. Either way he gets next to nothing each time he does this, and requires Core Relays to get new abilities. At best he'll come out with a version of a dash, the hover, the melee, and the shot. But with Cole retaining all of his powers, what chance could Delsin have? As long as Cole doesn't go overtop and overcomplicates what he's doing, he could easily take him down. And don't tell me Delsin wouldn't go for the power. It's been shown every time that going for the conduit's power is what he does. He may be smart, but he's hyperactive and is prone to making mistakes. Cole on the other hand usually thinks his actions through, or at least has enough power to back up an incorrect decision. His failures for the most part in the games have been a result of his enemies having the upper hand. For those who mention Delsin taking down Augustine's huge beast thing, and Eugene's Angel-Lord-God-Avatar-.... whatever thing down, Cole's no stranger to taking out huge monsters. Infamous had trash golems and those giants, and video power making Delsin invisible... well... Cole's dealt with that before. Infamous 2 had the huge swamp monsters and the ice titans, as well as the Behemoth and, I'll say it, the Beast. Cole can hold is own against the Beast, supposedly one of the most powerful conduits of all time, long enough to knock the thing down and make it half to recuperate. (the beginning of 2). Sure it put itself back together, and it took everything he'd had, but he effectively did what a nuke did. Cole, even infamous 1 Cole, has seen many of the things Delsin can do before. Lifting him into the air (neon bomb)? try telekinesis or what the Beast did to him. Invisibility, those conduit soldiers in the third area of the first game. the dashing? Couldn't Kessler do something similar? Either way Nix and Kuo can do better, and he beat them. he's seen shots, he's seen blasts, he's dealt with regular nades, with regular rockets (honestly not that different from smoke rocket). He knows if a ball is thrown, that he should get away from it. Cole's also fought summoners before, so Delsin's angels should be no problem. And seriously, making people cough is the dumbest way to incapacitate someone. Throw an electrocution grenade at Cole's feet and Delsin will have issues getting close to him until the coughing subsides. Besides those grenades didn't have much of an effect on the other conduits in Delsin's game. they were just Grunt Killers. Same with the big bombs. Took a few to take out Augustine, and that wasn't even the last we saw of her. To assess Delsin's powers, despite my take on the battle being that he wouldn't have access to them after a certain point (him taking Cole's. It always nullifies his other powers until he builds up his powerset, which he wouldn't be able to do with core relays) Let's assume the battle is in the street, surrounding rooftops are fair game. No NPCs getting in the way. I'm going to swing back between infamous 1 cole and infamous 2 cole now and then so stay with me. No NPCS means no big bombs for Delsin, as well as no concrete power. Neon is available, Video is a little limited, Smoke is available. Electricity always seems to be in huge supply, plus in Infamous Cole didn't use energy when using his bolts, and not as much energy in 2 as Delsin does. Cole can store far more power, has a diverse moveset that can be switched through on the fly. in the blink of an eye really, switch switching pauses the game. He technically has all of his bolts, nades, side powers, and rockets at his disposal all the time. Delsin's powers: Smoke Smoke Dash (double in the air) Smoke Shot Cinder Blast Smoke Nade (incapacitation) (not effective against strong enemies) Smoke Rocket (limited to five rockets) Crappy hover car jump execution/subdue (not effective against strong enemies) Neon Neon Run (infinite, run up walls) Neon beam Neon Bolt (Nine) Precision aim + slow down (not effective against strong enemies) better hover slightly Neon nade (makes enemy float around) (not effective against strong enemies) Video Video stream Video wings (2 or 3 times in the air? climbs up buildings very well) Invisibility/summon angels Sword rockets (3/5 at a time) (3 limit) VERY good hover And that's about it. the big bombs can't be used (though Cole's can't be used either, as he isn't getting the necessary purple glowing things because he's not fighting enemy's that were exposed to ray sphere radiation. though i think infamous 1 cole may still be able to use his lightning from the sky thing. can't remember how that worked. im going to say no for now in case he can't.) Video stream, smoke shot, neon beam can be countered by Cole's shield. The precision aim can be match Cole's own precision aim. Also, it can be countered by the wider shield. I am considering them both to be strong enemies so neither of the nades are helpful, whereas Cole's are. Cole could actually take cover, whereas Delsin couldn't, giving me the impression that Cole has some tactical intelligence whereas Delsin goes in headfirst. The bolt, beam, and stream can be countered simply by ducking behind something. The angels are fairly weak in the long run and can be killed somewhat easily. basically an annoyance or a distraction. Since Cole can suffer a single melee attack from Delsin (wouldn't be a very strong enemy if he couldn't. besides he could survive several hits from conduits in his own games), Delsin's invisibility fails after one hit and cole turn around and punch him in the face. Or stumble forward and blast Delsin back to stop him from dashing forward at him. If it came to up close combat, Delsin would have the upper hand. Or would he? Infamous 2 Cole had his AMP/katana/Sly's cane/tons of other awesome stuff. It's a debate on who would wrench the weapon from whom's hands first, so I'll just leave it at weapon vs weapon there. Either way Cole is stronger in physical strength, having trained to climb buildings rather than inexplicably being able to do it. Not to mention the car thing in the beginning of Second Son where Delsin needed Reggie's help to push a car. Cole in the meantime can climb a tall building in seconds flat. How's that for upper body strength? and everything else strength... Anyway, infamous 1 cole has a surprise up his sleeve as well for melee, the gigawatt blades. Free DLC, and even included in Playstation All stars, making them an established part of Cole's arsenal. Besides, I'm including DLC in general anyway. I already mentioned the electrocution grenade. Cole's blades are powerful, if not a one hit kill. Which it's not on Delsin because Delsin is a strong enemy. Still, they do some nasty damage. Even without Cole's Infamous 2 arsenal of varying bolts and other powers, Cole still wasn't as limited as Delsin is. And that's not even taking into account Cole at the end of Infamous 1 or Cole just before the beginning of infamous 2, because there is a huge difference in power there, something Delsin can't hope to beat. Bolts the size of rockets... seemingly infinite energy... preinfamous 2 cole was just... incredible. I would go into the ice and fire powers but... nah. that just makes Cole more likely to win. especially the fire because that means it's evil cole and evil cole.... damn, you do NOT want to mess with that much raw power. so many explosions... so little time... besides. Evil Cole post-infamous 2 would be the bloody Beast on top of his usual powers. So... that's not really the fight we want.
Gillian Regan I get your reasoning and TBH it is no doubt 100% accurate but I did notice that you forgot to mention that Cole not only has time being a conduit and power on his side but he is a prime conduit and I know that you said delsin did beat fetch Eugenie Hank and Augustine but fetch Eugenie and Hank where locked up for a long time and in the fight against fetch she was scared and Not a lot of people fight well while they are scared and in the fight against Augustine he was pissed also known as an adrenaline rush making him slightly stronger and I'm not counting the fact that Augustine was being cocky with her power and I know this shouldn't count but delsin wins if we are talking about good Cole cause he is dead but if we are talking about bad Cole you are right I am sad to say delsin is f*cked

Plus he only has 1 before needing to combo to get that bar back up, whereas Cole's lightning strike is an attack that drains energy like any other ability he has. Not to mention there are units of electricity that are constantly generating electricity making cole just about invicible.
Limmy Lan doubt cole could get out of the way in 5 seconds not knowing what he’s doing but even if he was trying to run away he wouldn’t get far enough the blast arduous would knock him out. It would destroy any sources of electricity in the area but cole is still stronger.
I'm actually recently been looking to simulate delsin's smoke powers in after effects using trapcode particular though i could be wrong. I dont care what others think I really liked this video especially since you really caught delsins particle smoke effects. Was it done with fumefx or trapcode particular?

Delson was running away from the cops when he saw a armored car crash. his brother tried to arrest the guy but he took Delson hostage when Delson touched the guy and absorbed his powers looking into his past and finding out how he broke out.
Basically Delsin's power is that he can absorb other powers, he absorbed Smoke, Neon, and the other powers. So something tells me he would also be able to absorb electricity.

Plus, power doesn't matter, Delsin can absorb any power by hand contact, since Augustine was extremely powerful. With Delsin's various powers added into the mix, he'd win this fight hands down.
Surely you guys must have forgotten Infamous 2 chapter/mission 35. When Cole had to get the last Blast Core there was a storm. Cole can use the storm for power.

Camera work is good. Special affects need work not overall bad though however I would have chose a place where there weren't so many people. If anything I would have gotten a group of people that I know to help act as civillians that panic in terror when two super humans clash it out. It was sorta weird seeing other people being nonchalant as if this happens all the time LOL.

Like a restaurant, you can't cook better maybe but you can make a review for the restaurant since there are other professional restaurants that you can spend your time and money at. The same here. Cole in my opinion would demolish Delsin, bare in mind Delsin is a teenager and as seen in the game if you choose karma he becomes consumed around his new abilities and becomes reckless, but Cole is more focused and unpredictable, his silence makes him deadly, also if he catches Delsin with his electricity, he would be drained and weakened. Although Delsin is faster and more active and quick thinking so that's were he has a clear advantage.
But wouldn't Delsin be able to drain Cole's power and also get electricity powers? Im not too sure that Cole would demolish Delsin, not to mention Delsin didn't even use Neon and the other powers.

Are we all forgetting that Cole is moving to slow to even land a hit on Delsin? Playing through Second Son I always thought Cole's power was more powerful but Delsin being able to speed blitz Cole is a big factor.Had Cole been able to move at the speed of his lightning he'd take this easy but Delsin has him beat in speed and isn't too far behind in power.
I think Delsin has more chances of wining at long range. Of course Cole is slower than Delsin, but that means he has to be a little more physically strong, and he have more training...I don't think either one of them would win, because they are both really powerfull conduits.
I know we all love cole but sadly if delson ever reaches his prime, cole or even the beast wont be a match for him. Delson has the potential to have every single condiuts power in the whole world. So eventually he will become a unstoppable force where he will become a unstoppable hero or become overwhelmed and consumed by the power. All delson needs is to find a water conduit and absorb that and switch from water to cement and coles checkmated or just absorb electricity which would make coles attacks useless.
Concrete wouldnt do anything. Stay off the ground you get caught blow up the concrete.. Smoke? Electrify the air. Neon? Electrify the ground. Video? Duh drain all tv's. Steal powers? Well he's gonna need a blast core otherwise he's screwed. Deslin can only use one power at a time. He needs a blast core to use each new power. Even if that wasnt the case his odds of conveniently finding powers to absorb are low. Also the canon ending is the good ending sadly.
Let me entertain that theory. Lets say cole does all of what you said, electrify the air????? And the ground????? And drains the last power sources that happens to be a tv. Ask your self what happens when cole run out of juice since he wasted his energy like a idiot electrifying air (which would take a hell of alot of electricity) when that has no effect since delsin becomes a smoke cloud that can avoid even lighting. So you theory fucks cole over with no electricity and no source of power while delsin could absorb the smoke from the wasted lighting that was electrifying airrrrrrr lmao and lets not forget about the endless amount of concrete under them..... Lets put it this way, cole at the end of infamous 2 is stronger then delsin right now, BUT delsins only going to improve from here on out. Eventually he will reach a stage where he can absorb a power and wont pass out and need blast cores. This was an amazing video. The special effects were on-point, the coreography was good, the actors were great and the atmosphere itself was superb. Definitely adding this to my favs. About the "who is more powerful" thing....people....the game hasn't even been released yet lol. Any assumption we can come to is premature at best. We haven't even seen how powerful Delsin will be by the end of Second Son, we already know that he'll absorb more powers than just Neon. It's easy to assume Cole is more powerful, he had two entire games to develop his powers lol. Let's just wait until we actually play and finish the game before we assume how Delsin stacks up against Cole.

Darius Cole-Samuels I noticed that too. The way I see it, this seems to be a portrayal of Cole right around the beginning or middle of the first game, when he was still inexperienced with his powers. I guess they figured since Delsin is basically at the same stage of development, it'd be more fair to put him up against a more inexperienced Cole. You're definitely right, inFamous 2 Cole is way too powerful for Delsin. At least from what we've seen of him. Plus from the actor's clothing, it looks more like Cole from the 1st one, since in the 2nd one he wears a t-shirt. So yeah, this is probably supposed to be an "Inexperienced Cole vs. Inexperienced Delsin" fight. Makes sense.

Darius Cole-Samuels That's a good point. But if you think about it, by the end of inFamous 1, Cole was at least powerful enough to injure The Beast, and he did beat Kessler, who was a teleporter. Plus Cole had to routinely fight those cloaked Reaper things and they had pretty similar movement abilities to Delsin. I'd say by the end of the first game, or even closer to the middle of it Cole should be powerful enough to be a good match for Delsin before he gets his Neon power. I think they were trying to find a middle-ground for when Cole would be closest to Delsin's level to make it as even as they could, which is kinda difficult to do.

I'd like to bring up some reasons that Cole can defeat Delsin. I was originally under the impression that Delsin was the better conduit but then I realized. Sure, Delsin could take Cole's powers, but Cole has blast cores and blast shards. I'm pretty sure Delsin doesn't. Delsin's electric powers will be as good as beginning of inFAMOUS 1 Cole. I don't think Delsin is invulnerable to Cole's powers either. When using concrete powers, the D.U.P. can still hurt him so we know Delsin doesn't have any special powers that makes him invulnerable to his own powers. Cole was hurt by Kessler in battle, so electricity powers don't make him invulnerable to his own powers. In short, electricity can hurt electricity. Cole's powers focus on electricity with a couple of months of experience while Delsin has multiple powers that he has days worth of experience with. Also, Delsin can only change powers by absorbing material from his other powers. Lastly, Good or Evil Cole has quite the experience with pyro-like conduits such as the Beast and Nyx.

Swaggi Baggi The main problem I have with the experience argument is that both protagonists have conquered over more experienced Conduits and according to the logic of "the most experienced Conduit has a better chance of winning" is that both Cole and Delsin would have lost against their respective enemies because the enemy Conduits have more experience in using their powers. At the start of Infamous 1 we are about two weeks in the story where Cole states that he could barely power a light bulb and now he is frying the marionettes on Zeke's roof, it took Cole two weeks to master the Bolt attack and about three-four weeks to become proficient in electricity , yet in Second Son it takes Delsin a single day to become proficient with Smoke. We know that Cole could become as powerful as Kessler, but Kessler was only that powerful because he spent decades developing his ability. We don't know how Delsin's power absorption works and that makes it more interesting to see where it will take him rather than having a future version of main protagonist to pop up to ruin the mystery.
Anyone else remember using a lot more of the environment as Cole? Like you have the push and grenades. Stick a bus with some and see if he can dodge that. And from a game standpoint cause Second sun should never have been made. Either have Cole use the RFI and kill them both, or give him his “beast” powers. If there both alive then it’s cannon that Cole is The Beast.

But either way they wouldn't fight because they fight for the same thing; freedom of the conduits and peace between conduits and normal people.

Oh, the fan wars are strong in the comments section. Putting favorites aside, I think it is safe to assume that Cole would win in a 1 on 1 fight against Delsin. Why? The reason being that Cole has had experience being a conduit longer than Delsin. In addition, Cole has had time to master and hone his abilities. Having access to different Conduit abilities doesn't make you strong (unless you know how to use them properly). Delsin probably had time to practice his powers in about what, 2 days? (I don't know how long Delsin took to utilize his powers because the game doesn't say anything about the timeline) Anyway, my point is that Cole is an experience fighter. He is smarter, stronger, and more experienced.
If Delsin was in Cole's age, then Delsin would be more experienced cuz he found his ability younger than Cole did.

Gonna try to be constructive about this... The way the battle started was pretty bad. There wasn't even an excuse for the characters to want to fight each other. The acting was pretty cringe-worthy, with overreactions to damage like they really couldn't take a punch, and way too much passion in small actions. Not to mention the lack of Delsin's usual smugness.
The choreography for the fight was pretty badly planned OR badly executed, really doesn't feel urgent or genuine, and the characters go out of their way to give each other a chance to avoid a big strike instead of going for an easy finish. The lack of Delsin's use of neon, video and concrete was also weird, but I can understand that it would be a lot of extra work.
Finally, the most glaring issue... Delsin touched Cole SEVERAL times and didnt absorb his power. If he did, the fight would be over, as he would be stuck with an unfamiliar power and unable to fight back, with nobody to hurl blast cores at him to even the odds.

If that's true, then it's a bit of a strange decision to put THIS MUCH effort into a short film with little to no knowledge about one of the characters involved. One small thing. I know this was most likely made to look cool, but people tend to forget Delsin's powers are not the four you use in game, but to absorb powers of other conduits by touching them. Would have been a kickass turn around in the fight when all of a sudden Cole ends up just charging Delsin.
That would end in a stalemate or cole could launch a car at him or something to get Delsin close to water then the fight would be over

Technically, Delsin would give himself a severe disadvantage if he did that. Whenever he absorbs a conduit's powers, he only gains a very basic version of those powers. Cole would be able to easily overpower him at that point.
Not only that, but there is a chance where he won't even be able to use the power in the 1st place, like with Video and Concrete. He needed to absorb Blast Cores to even use the standard shot of the move. If he absorbs Cole's Lightning, then it could leave him defenseless unless he gets at least 1 blast core.
Pretty much that how his fight with Augustin went he only won with the help of the others as they gave him blast cores

Okay delsin has fought eugene who is stronger than any of the conduit's cole fought except for the beast which cole could only beat with the RFI, And delsin really only used one power to beat augustine which was concrete and he could have done anything cole had done with just one of his powers frankly pretty easily. He beat hank when he barely could use his powers and didn't have half of his abilities. Delsin is already the strongest conduit to live and is only going to get stronger and get more powers.

What use is a thunderstorm if the only thing it would hit are the ground and a cloud of smoke? And, since smoke is not known for shitting it's pants during a thunderstorm, it is nothing more but a waste of energy. Delsin can transform into smoke, or into neon (at least into the latter, he can transform for an unlimited amount of time, literally becoming invulnerable). So, if we assume that Delsin developed that ability (which makes Delsin faster than Cole can move his body), he can become intangible for Cole for as long as he wants and strike back whenever Cole is vulnerable. Delsin wins.

Aztec King The only things of these that Delsin did not face are vampires and the beast. Conduits are Delsin's everyday trashmobs - the lesser conduits who possess Brooke Augustine's Terrakinesis. Also, he wrecked a whole army of them. He beat the shit out of a giant laser shooting angel in it's own realm and a giant concrete behemoth. Vampires are not stronger or even close to any experienced conduit (like Augustine for example), and Delsin might as well be able to hold his ground against the beast, which is exactly what Cole did until the RFI (which in fact did kill the beast and only had Cole as a medium to be charged) activated. Plus, unlike Cole, Delsin has the potential to combine all the abilities of the strongest conduits in existence, such as Kuo, Nix, John White, Cole/Kessler, and, as seen, Eugene, Fetch, Augustine, Hank and even something like Bertrand.
To be fair, this video was published before Infamous Second Son even came out, so while there is technically only one rendition of Delsin where he is still technically new to being a conduit, Cole has already fought the Beast and all that so he is of course stronger. With that said though, there are probably and hopefully still more Infamous games to come, so for all we know the next game and the game after that could easily also feature Delsin, and he could easily acquire more core relays not only for the powers he already has but for powers we could possibly see in the future. Eventually, Sucker Punch could make Delsin just as strong as Cole...

Is everybody forgetting that Delsin doesn't like electricity like the electric wires on the building where Augustine was? so that means Cole can just do an Ionic storm on Delsin and there you go job done.
Of course Delsin doesn't like electricity, because he does not possess the power itself. Cole didn't like electricity as well before he became a conduit.
Before absorbing the Smoke powers, Delsin would not like to get hit by a mix of smoke, ash and ember.
The only common weakness conduits share seems to be water.

The problem with the logic most of you are using is that you are comparing them by how they fare against their enemies which isn't accurate because they are not fighting their enemies they are fighting each other. It depends on what level of training these guys have at the start of the fight. If it is their basic power for each, I would give it to Cole because Smoke is really useless against electricity, which is much more expansive in use. Keep in mind smoke is not fire, his chains conduct electricity, and the smoke is only good for evasion. Cole has dealt with plenty of enemies good at evasion. (Even Vampires in the DLC if you consider that cannon for his abilities). On the other hand, let's analyze all of Delsin's powers max. Cole's max has expanded his powers beyond natural genetics, (RFI and such) so just the power transfer won't bring Delsin to Cole's level. He also has Fire and/or Ice. Video and Light can be drained because they are reliant on electricity (at least how Delsin uses it). The smoke is still useless against electricity. Only the concrete is a serious force to be reckoned with. But keep in mind how Cole has super strength. Every time he leaps from stories high buildings and crashes to the ground, leaving huge cracks in the....that's right concrete. So I don't think that alone will cause too much of a problem. Electricity/Fire/and Ice pretty much match or trump all Delsin's powers. I was waiting for an Ionic Storm tornado to suck up the smoke, or lightning storm to sweep up the entire place leaving nowhere to run.
Cole would win. I'm not just saying this because I like Cole, it's because Delsin is still a human as well as a conduit. Cole could let Delsin copy his powers, and then drain the life force out of Delsin. But then again Delsin could do the same to Cole.

People keep saying that Delsin would be healed by Cole's electricity or vice-versa if Delsin were to absorb his powers. This couldn't be more wrong. There are several examples throughout the series that prove that energy from another conduit is different than energy found on the field. As soon as it's weaponsed, it hurts you. Cole vs. Kessler, Delsin vs Hank in the beginning, Delsin vs Fetch, Delsin was hurt by Hank's smoke blast near the end of the game, and hell, the entire point of Delsin vs. Augustine. Being hit by the same power you have does NOT heal you, or help you in any way. Nor can you drain them, except in the case of "fake" conduits like the DUP Soldiers, but you still can't drain them when they're alive/conscious, nor can you drain their attacks.
Second point, electricity does not equal video and especially not neon. Neon is a bloody gas. Video and Electricity are completely different powers in the games, it's obvious. The only similarity is that they might be able to drain the same power source: a television, but really they're draining two different parts of it.
Honestly, the way I see this fight going is that Delsin fights Cole with his own powers long enough to get close and steal his. While Delsin has fought and beaten conduits with weaker versions of their powers in the past, this is due in part to "Protagonist Syndrome", a syndrome I just made up, but in the long run is quite relevant. The protagonist can always beat the odds and come out on top, yes, but we need to remember that since they're both protagonists, they can both overcome adversity. Let's analyse what powers Delsin had after each absorption.
Hank: Smoke dash. Melee attack.
Fetch: Neon Run. Melee attack? Maybe? Hover.
Eugene: Absolutely nothing. We don't really know why, but he got nothing to start with.
Augustine: I believe... the shot? and melee? Been a while for this one to be honest.
Either way he gets next to nothing each time he does this, and requires Core Relays to get new abilities. At best he'll come out with a version of a dash, the hover, the melee, and the shot. But with Cole retaining all of his powers, what chance could Delsin have? As long as Cole doesn't go overtop and overcomplicates what he's doing, he could easily take him down.
And don't tell me Delsin wouldn't go for the power. It's been shown every time that going for the conduit's power is what he does. He may be smart, but he's hyperactive and is prone to making mistakes. Cole on the other hand usually thinks his actions through, or at least has enough power to back up an incorrect decision. His failures for the most part in the games have been a result of his enemies having the upper hand.
For those who mention Delsin taking down Augustine's huge beast thing, and Eugene's Angel-Lord-God-Avatar-.... whatever thing down, Cole's no stranger to taking out huge monsters. Infamous had trash golems and those giants, and video power making Delsin invisible... well... Cole's dealt with that before. Infamous 2 had the huge swamp monsters and the ice titans, as well as the Behemoth and, I'll say it, the Beast. Cole can hold is own against the Beast, supposedly one of the most powerful conduits of all time, long enough to knock the thing down and make it half to recuperate. (the beginning of 2). Sure it put itself back together, and it took everything he'd had, but he effectively did what a nuke did.
Cole, even infamous 1 Cole, has seen many of the things Delsin can do before. Lifting him into the air (neon bomb)? try telekinesis or what the Beast did to him. Invisibility, those conduit soldiers in the third area of the first game. the dashing? Couldn't Kessler do something similar? Either way Nix and Kuo can do better, and he beat them. he's seen shots, he's seen blasts, he's dealt with regular nades, with regular rockets (honestly not that different from smoke rocket). He knows if a ball is thrown, that he should get away from it. Cole's also fought summoners before, so Delsin's angels should be no problem. And seriously, making people cough is the dumbest way to incapacitate someone. Throw an electrocution grenade at Cole's feet and Delsin will have issues getting close to him until the coughing subsides. Besides those grenades didn't have much of an effect on the other conduits in Delsin's game. they were just Grunt Killers. Same with the big bombs. Took a few to take out Augustine, and that wasn't even the last we saw of her.
To assess Delsin's powers, despite my take on the battle being that he wouldn't have access to them after a certain point (him taking Cole's. It always nullifies his other powers until he builds up his powerset, which he wouldn't be able to do with core relays)
Let's assume the battle is in the street, surrounding rooftops are fair game. No NPCs getting in the way. I'm going to swing back between infamous 1 cole and infamous 2 cole now and then so stay with me. No NPCS means no big bombs for Delsin, as well as no concrete power. Neon is available, Video is a little limited, Smoke is available. Electricity always seems to be in huge supply, plus in Infamous Cole didn't use energy when using his bolts, and not as much energy in 2 as Delsin does. Cole can store far more power, has a diverse moveset that can be switched through on the fly. in the blink of an eye really, switch switching pauses the game. He technically has all of his bolts, nades, side powers, and rockets at his disposal all the time. Delsin's powers:
Smoke
Smoke Dash (double in the air)
Smoke Shot
Cinder Blast
Smoke Nade (incapacitation) (not effective against strong enemies)
Smoke Rocket (limited to five rockets)
Crappy hover
car jump
execution/subdue (not effective against strong enemies)
Neon
Neon Run (infinite, run up walls)
Neon beam
Neon Bolt (Nine)
Precision aim + slow down (not effective against strong enemies)
better hover slightly
Neon nade (makes enemy float around) (not effective against strong enemies)
Video
Video stream
Video wings (2 or 3 times in the air? climbs up buildings very well)
Invisibility/summon angels
Sword rockets (3/5 at a time) (3 limit)
VERY good hover
And that's about it. the big bombs can't be used (though Cole's can't be used either, as he isn't getting the necessary purple glowing things because he's not fighting enemy's that were exposed to ray sphere radiation. though i think infamous 1 cole may still be able to use his lightning from the sky thing. can't remember how that worked. im going to say no for now in case he can't.)
Video stream, smoke shot, neon beam can be countered by Cole's shield.
The precision aim can be match Cole's own precision aim. Also, it can be countered by the wider shield.
I am considering them both to be strong enemies so neither of the nades are helpful, whereas Cole's are. Cole could actually take cover, whereas Delsin couldn't, giving me the impression that Cole has some tactical intelligence whereas Delsin goes in headfirst. The bolt, beam, and stream can be countered simply by ducking behind something. The angels are fairly weak in the long run and can be killed somewhat easily. basically an annoyance or a distraction. Since Cole can suffer a single melee attack from Delsin (wouldn't be a very strong enemy if he couldn't. besides he could survive several hits from conduits in his own games), Delsin's invisibility fails after one hit and cole turn around and punch him in the face. Or stumble forward and blast Delsin back to stop him from dashing forward at him. If it came to up close combat, Delsin would have the upper hand. Or would he? Infamous 2 Cole had his AMP/katana/Sly's cane/tons of other awesome stuff. It's a debate on who would wrench the weapon from whom's hands first, so I'll just leave it at weapon vs weapon there. Either way Cole is stronger in physical strength, having trained to climb buildings rather than inexplicably being able to do it. Not to mention the car thing in the beginning of Second Son where Delsin needed Reggie's help to push a car. Cole in the meantime can climb a tall building in seconds flat. How's that for upper body strength? and everything else strength... Anyway, infamous 1 cole has a surprise up his sleeve as well for melee, the gigawatt blades. Free DLC, and even included in Playstation All stars, making them an established part of Cole's arsenal. Besides, I'm including DLC in general anyway. I already mentioned the electrocution grenade. Cole's blades are powerful, if not a one hit kill. Which it's not on Delsin because Delsin is a strong enemy. Still, they do some nasty damage.
Even without Cole's Infamous 2 arsenal of varying bolts and other powers, Cole still wasn't as limited as Delsin is.
And that's not even taking into account Cole at the end of Infamous 1 or Cole just before the beginning of infamous 2, because there is a huge difference in power there, something Delsin can't hope to beat. Bolts the size of rockets... seemingly infinite energy... preinfamous 2 cole was just... incredible.
I would go into the ice and fire powers but... nah. that just makes Cole more likely to win. especially the fire because that means it's evil cole and evil cole.... damn, you do NOT want to mess with that much raw power. so many explosions... so little time... besides. Evil Cole post-infamous 2 would be the bloody Beast on top of his usual powers. So... that's not really the fight we want.
Gillian Regan I get your reasoning and TBH it is no doubt 100% accurate but I did notice that you forgot to mention that Cole not only has time being a conduit and power on his side but he is a prime conduit and I know that you said delsin did beat fetch Eugenie Hank and Augustine but fetch Eugenie and Hank where locked up for a long time and in the fight against fetch she was scared and Not a lot of people fight well while they are scared and in the fight against Augustine he was pissed also known as an adrenaline rush making him slightly stronger and I'm not counting the fact that Augustine was being cocky with her power and I know this shouldn't count but delsin wins if we are talking about good Cole cause he is dead but if we are talking about bad Cole you are right I am sad to say delsin is f*cked

Except for the fact it takes about 5 seconds to execute. Thats 5 seconds to get out of the way. Plus he only has 1 before needing to combo to get that bar back up, whereas Cole's lightning strike is an attack that drains energy like any other ability he has. Not to mention there are units of electricity that are constantly generating electricity making cole just about invicible.
Limmy Lan doubt cole could get out of the way in 5 seconds not knowing what he’s doing but even if he was trying to run away he wouldn’t get far enough the blast arduous would knock him out. It would destroy any sources of electricity in the area but cole is still stronger.

Basically Delsin's power is that he can absorb other powers, he absorbed Smoke, Neon, and the other powers. So something tells me he would also be able to absorb electricity.

Augustine had seven years of experience with her concrete power and Cole had less than four. So experience doesn't matter. Plus, power doesn't matter, Delsin can absorb any power by hand contact, since Augustine was extremely powerful. With Delsin's various powers added into the mix, he'd win this fight hands down.

Camera work is good. Special affects need work not overall bad though however I would have chose a place where there weren't so many people. If anything I would have gotten a group of people that I know to help act as civillians that panic in terror when two super humans clash it out. It was sorta weird seeing other people being nonchalant as if this happens all the time LOL.

They get paid for this stuff, if it's not up to par, even if we can't make better, we can stop watching, which takes money out of their pocket, and go give our time and attention to another video.

Wow, that was intense. That ending! But why are they fighting each other, everyone idolizes Cole, the original.
Cole in my opinion would demolish Delsin, bare in mind Delsin is a teenager and as seen in the game if you choose karma he becomes consumed around his new abilities and becomes reckless, but Cole is more focused and unpredictable, his silence makes him deadly, also if he catches Delsin with his electricity, he would be drained and weakened. Although Delsin is faster and more active and quick thinking so that's were he has a clear advantage.
But wouldn't Delsin be able to drain Cole's power and also get electricity powers? Im not too sure that Cole would demolish Delsin, not to mention Delsin didn't even use Neon and the other powers.
But Delsin would need a core thingy that gives him access to the new power he absorbed

You gotta remember, whenever he did transfer ability types, he couldn't use ANYTHING until he blasts some drop things, I forgot what they were called Its been a while since I've played 2nd son. And I highly doubt cole will just allow him to get new abilities.

Are we all forgetting that Cole is moving to slow to even land a hit on Delsin? Playing through Second Son I always thought Cole's power was more powerful but Delsin being able to speed blitz Cole is a big factor.Had Cole been able to move at the speed of his lightning he'd take this easy but Delsin has him beat in speed and isn't too far behind in power.

I think Delsin has more chances of wining at long range. Of course Cole is slower than Delsin, but that means he has to be a little more physically strong, and he have more training...I don't think either one of them would win, because they are both really powerfull conduits.

I know we all love cole but sadly if delson ever reaches his prime, cole or even the beast wont be a match for him. Delson has the potential to have every single condiuts power in the whole world. So eventually he will become a unstoppable force where he will become a unstoppable hero or become overwhelmed and consumed by the power. All delson needs is to find a water conduit and absorb that and switch from water to cement and coles checkmated or just absorb electricity which would make coles attacks useless.

In evil Karma Delsin practically became a god when he shook every conduits hand after he let them out of the prison.
Concrete wouldnt do anything. Stay off the ground you get caught blow up the concrete.. Smoke? Electrify the air. Neon? Electrify the ground. Video? Duh drain all tv's. Steal powers? Well he's gonna need a blast core otherwise he's screwed. Deslin can only use one power at a time. He needs a blast core to use each new power. Even if that wasnt the case his odds of conveniently finding powers to absorb are low. Also the canon ending is the good ending sadly.
Let me entertain that theory. Lets say cole does all of what you said, electrify the air????? And the ground????? And drains the last power sources that happens to be a tv. Ask your self what happens when cole run out of juice since he wasted his energy like a idiot electrifying air (which would take a hell of alot of electricity) when that has no effect since delsin becomes a smoke cloud that can avoid even lighting. So you theory fucks cole over with no electricity and no source of power while delsin could absorb the smoke from the wasted lighting that was electrifying airrrrrrr lmao and lets not forget about the endless amount of concrete under them.....
Lets put it this way, cole at the end of infamous 2 is stronger then delsin right now, BUT delsins only going to improve from here on out. Eventually he will reach a stage where he can absorb a power and wont pass out and need blast cores. Delsin has the potential to be the strongest condiut or a god where cole and even the beast wont be considered a match for delsin.
This was an amazing video. The special effects were on-point, the coreography was good, the actors were great and the atmosphere itself was superb. Definitely adding this to my favs.
About the "who is more powerful" thing....people....the game hasn't even been released yet lol. Any assumption we can come to is premature at best. We haven't even seen how powerful Delsin will be by the end of Second Son, we already know that he'll absorb more powers than just Neon. It's easy to assume Cole is more powerful, he had two entire games to develop his powers lol. Let's just wait until we actually play and finish the game before we assume how Delsin stacks up against Cole.
what you say is true but the actor didn't use any of the moves from the second one. i'm not talking about the freeze or burns either i'm talking about the updated combat system that was placed in the second game. cause honestly i was kicken tons of ass without either of coles secondary abilities.
Darius Cole-Samuels I noticed that too. The way I see it, this seems to be a portrayal of Cole right around the beginning or middle of the first game, when he was still inexperienced with his powers. I guess they figured since Delsin is basically at the same stage of development, it'd be more fair to put him up against a more inexperienced Cole. You're definitely right, inFamous 2 Cole is way too powerful for Delsin. At least from what we've seen of him. Plus from the actor's clothing, it looks more like Cole from the 1st one, since in the 2nd one he wears a t-shirt. So yeah, this is probably supposed to be an "Inexperienced Cole vs. Inexperienced Delsin" fight. Makes sense.

i agree with your analysis but in that concept its not fair as delsin starts with the updated fighting mechanics. while cole is edgy at best. hell delson even has the better movement and counter schemes and we haven't even seen all he can do yet

That's a good point. But if you think about it, by the end of inFamous 1, Cole was at least powerful enough to injure The Beast, and he did beat Kessler, who was a teleporter. Plus Cole had to routinely fight those cloaked Reaper things and they had pretty similar movement abilities to Delsin. I'd say by the end of the first game, or even closer to the middle of it Cole should be powerful enough to be a good match for Delsin before he gets his Neon power. I think they were trying to find a middle-ground for when Cole would be closest to Delsin's level to make it as even as they could, which is kinda difficult to do.
ShuhanX Otherwise, all Cole would have needed to do is press the up directional button and summon an overpowered Lightning Storm/Cyclone/Ion drain/Ion Freeze and immediately be rid of Delsin, who at this stage, seems to have nothing more than the Orbital Drop. Still, I'm wondering what Delsin's "Up Button" attacks will be for stuff like neon and other powers that haven't been announced. Ice launch is beast.

I'd like to bring up some reasons that Cole can defeat Delsin. I was originally under the impression that Delsin was the better conduit but then I realized.
Sure, Delsin could take Cole's powers, but Cole has blast cores and blast shards. I'm pretty sure Delsin doesn't. Delsin's electric powers will be as good as beginning of inFAMOUS 1 Cole.
I don't think Delsin is invulnerable to Cole's powers either. When using concrete powers, the D.U.P. can still hurt him so we know Delsin doesn't have any special powers that makes him invulnerable to his own powers. Cole was hurt by Kessler in battle, so electricity powers don't make him invulnerable to his own powers. In short, electricity can hurt electricity.
Cole's powers focus on electricity with a couple of months of experience while Delsin has multiple powers that he has days worth of experience with.
Also, Delsin can only change powers by absorbing material from his other powers.
Lastly, Good or Evil Cole has quite the experience with pyro-like conduits such as the Beast and Nyx.
Second son takes place 7 years later. And delsin was knocked out for a week and it took him a week to kill Augustine

All of those sound powerful and all, but Delsin's dealing with an experience conduit while Cole still hasa couple of months of experience from inFamous 1 and 2.

The main problem I have with the experience argument is that both protagonists have conquered over more experienced Conduits and according to the logic of "the most experienced Conduit has a better chance of winning" is that both Cole and Delsin would have lost against their respective enemies because the enemy Conduits have more experience in using their powers. At the start of Infamous 1 we are about two weeks in the story where Cole states that he could barely power a light bulb and now he is frying the marionettes on Zeke's roof, it took Cole two weeks to master the Bolt attack and about three-four weeks to become proficient in electricity , yet in Second Son it takes Delsin a single day to become proficient with Smoke. We know that Cole could become as powerful as Kessler, but Kessler was only that powerful because he spent decades developing his ability. We don't know how Delsin's power absorption works and that makes it more interesting to see where it will take him rather than having a future version of main protagonist to pop up to ruin the mystery.
Anyone else remember using a lot more of the environment as Cole? Like you have the push and grenades. Stick a bus with some and see if he can dodge that.
And from a game standpoint cause Second sun should never have been made. Either have Cole use the RFI and kill them both, or give him his “beast” powers. If there both alive then it’s cannon that Cole is The Beast.
