I played one of those Burney Les Paul Customs that belongs to a friend, I was very impressed by it, it played and sounded as good as my Gibson USA Les Paul and the build quality was flawless, as long as you are not a guitar snob you can save some serious money buying one of these, be quick though as they are no longer building Burney guitars and so when the stock in the shops runs out there are no more new ones! What model was the Jackson pink super strat, is it a USA model? I love set and through neck guitars that are usually bolt-on models, I am not keen on bolt-on necks although I am a big Telecaster guy! I want a neck through Telecaster in the Nashville style, I don't want to pay the ridiculous price I was quoted to commission one and so I will have to go on the Crimson Guitars Luthiary School course to build one, even with a weeks accommodation and travel costs this works out about £650 cheaper than commissioning one and I get to keep the guitar building education forever!
@@AndrewAHayes This Burny ((1989 model) plays every bit as good as my 1981 Gibson Les Paul Custom. It feels remarkably similar in neck shape, neck angle, and feel if that makes sense. If I did a blind test, (if not for the Floyd) I don’t think you could tell the difference. The pickups are quite good as well. I have Duncan’s in my 1981 LPC, so they’re quite a bit hotter. I dare say the stock Fernandes VH1 pickups are nearly identical to their Gibson counterparts from that era. It’s a great guitar and probably 1/4 the price of a similar 80’s Gibson. Love it!! 🤘😎🤘
I've been wanting a Burny LP with the Floyd Rose and sustainer for years. I see them on eBay from Japan but they always want around $1000 or more. That's beyond my budget for a piece of wood. Maybe one day I'll have one built by IYV. They do custom orders.
@@JoeR203 Yes, they can be expensive! But in comparison to their Gibson counterparts? Cheap money. For example, the original Neal Schon Les Pauls sold for around $11K, now you can't find one for less than $20K. Even the alternative, getting a Les Paul Axcess and installing a Sustainer yourself, is going to cost you around $4K, if your considering a used guitar and new Sustainer parts. So that $1K is really the bargain, if you can find one!! ps. Don't forget to factor in 6% import duties, if you are buying a guitar from Japan! lol
I adore that Hamer.
@@theariesexperiment4642 It is a pretty sweet guitar! Thanks for watching and commenting.
That set off that LP of Randy's. Freaking perfect. Love that Hamer also and the Vai, Oh Yea!!
@@scottdahlberg4890 Completely agree. Just the finishing touches they all needed.
