@@Miss.A.V Never been to North. North and South are family owned. South has treated us great every time. Stayed in hotel twice. Old but nice. Stayed in condo's for about eight years. Think they just remodeled North.

Went to an ASA QUALIFIER in Eastland Texas two years. Of coarse the motel pics on the web were from years ago when it was new maybe. Only place there with vacancies so we booked it. The place was a duummpp deluxe. But at least the beds had been changed and that was the only clean. Had to get new clean towels as the ones in the room were obviously just folded and put back on the shelf used. Smelled of smoke which was supposed be a non- smoker room. I shoulda just torched the place.
If you go to MYRTLE Beach itself, stay on the north side of the resort area. There are some really, really nice places in that area. OR, stay away from Myrtle Beach proper and go to North Myrtle Beach, or in South Myrtle Beach, Surfside, or Garden City. It CAN be a great place, but avoid anything on the SOUTH side of the resort area.
We stayed in one similar to that up in the mountains.I sat up in a chair all night to watch while hubby slept. But it was loud and to much going on outside.And the room was disgusting.We never stayed there again.
We stayed at garden city last year. Rented a condo right on the beach. More than a dump would have cost, of course, but soooo much nicer and civilized. No noise day or night. The place for us from now on!
We were staying at a hotel in Pacific Grove Monterey CA,, $300 a night so we just stayed one night. Noise all night,, prostitutes coming and going till 3am,, we just got up and drove home. the man at the desk would not even talk to me,, he only looked at my husband even though i had paid for the room and it was in my name..terrible experience. The hotel was called the Munras. Yuk!!! our tv was locked on to one chanel,, and it was a violent one. trucks with hemi engines running the whole time.. no one should have stayed . Manager said "" people come and go in all hotels" I said but not while jumping on and off the beds and slamming car doors 15 times while getting bags. it was the worst night of my life...and our Anniversary. Reviews are all 4 stars.. go figure.🤣
This was a decent motel before the new owners took over. The last time we stayed here was in 2020, and the former owners were installing new flat screen TVs and new fridges in each room. I guess they got tired of pouring $$$ into it and sold it.
I would have walked in, looked it over, and went and got a refund. No other motels available? We always look the room over first, then pay. Cuts down on the wtf possibilities! Sorry you had to experience this.
Don't know about now who owns it. Back in the 80's. Husband and wife owned it. They even lived up on top of main building. It was great place to stay. They even had security guard at one time. They turned it over to their sons. They wanted the money. Didn't want to put anything back in it. We stopped Late 90's. Had two year old. Turned on tub with wrench. That was it. I could only imagine now. They use to be full in main buildings. Then full in overflow across the street. They ran it in the ground.

Stayed there back in 2014 right above the office... they had broke lamp just like the room you shown, and also the pool didn't even work😮
Unfortunately,Out of towner dont know this hotel is a dump..only the locals know that this hotel is a dump and dangerous🤷
