This man probably wakes up and thinks: "let's take it easy today and just learn a chopin etude real quick." what a legend.
True lmao
The chopin etudes are somewhat like required repertoire for concert pianists, and this is one of the easier ones. So it wouldn’t be to much of a stretch to say he’s either played this piece or practiced it before
I sure he played this before. He just need 10 min to repeat on this and after he record.

It’s been like 2 months since I first found this channel and I’m still trying to figure which world class, concert pianist this is😂
Seriously yeah this dude is by far the best pianist out of the ones that post piano vids like this on RUclips.
Some concert pianist probably got bored in quarantine.

Bass line voicing at 0:36 was beautiful!
Amazing as always!
Voice is human thing. Improved your English ;)
@@LeventK search "voice leading" my dear friend.
It has voice in it because it was first common in choral music but has nothing to do with human voice.

This is such a light piece and the way it rounds off in the end it great. Beautiful performance Traum!
The saddest part about this piece is that it have to end.
you should be happy that the piece ended because if he kept playing his fingers would die from playing this and we would never get to hear his playing again
Like how life ends.
just like the life of a butterfly 😔

When I composed this I was looking at a butterfly while I was smoking In a park..
Smoking? That's not good for TB Master Chopin.
Lie
Okay forreal Chopin didnt gave most of his works the names. There is for example the waltz which described a dog running for his own tail, the petit chien i think. But (nearly) everyone calls it minute waltz bruh
yeah, sure.
Let me bring you electric cigarette, master 😃🧡
아니 나비 주제에 존나 쫀득해서 중독 됨ㅋㅋ 꾸준히 생각나서 보러옴 박자감, 강약조절 이거 완전 인절미 아니냐;;
Your takes continue to pleasantly surprise me - at this point it's not even a surprise, I just know I'll be getting a beautiful and unique version of a piece I love.
thank you for this series! i know this will be a spectacular recording
edit: the beginning of this etude sounds the quite similar to the vivace (mvt 3) of beethoven sonata 25! both are also very short (the etude is the shortest of all 24, just as sonata 25 is shortest of all sonatas, exclusing op. 49) it looks like chopin took influence from beethoven
Yeah they sound alike. Interesting!
Great minds think alike I guess :P
Yes, Beethovens sonata 25 is even shorter than his op. 49 set. Also, the first theme of Beethovens 30. sonata (mvt 1) has a similar chord progression.
Chopin also took inspiration from moonlight sonata third movement for his fantasie impromptu.
Chopin even credited Beethoven for the melody
I was just gonna request this! 😍
He's too fast
He red our minds hahaha

Good work with the octaves and jumps, so clean!
Exactly what i like for my birthday last day ago
Been repeating this for hours
I've seen this piece played in under a minute. It's almost relieving to hear such a patient and felt interpretation.
I like how the video is perfectly cut. Thank you for making my morning with this piece!
Seriously, you are underrated compared to other famous pianists here. Your expression is better than for instance Rousseau (not a knock against him) and you seem to have an equally vast repertoire.
Just loving the last notes. They give me shivers
What a wonderfully non self centered and highly mature interpretation.
Traum you deserve more respect, the video is amazing and I am always so excited when you upload a chopin video because he is my favourite composer. This recording is one of a kind, amazing job keep doing what you are doing :)
Chopin is also my favorite composer
CHOPIN IS MY FAVORITE COMPOSER AS WELL!!!!
A marvelous performance one of my favourite etudes by Chopin. The left hand voicing is just so well done!
Congratulations, Traum. You are incredible!!!
This is now my favorite etude.
Underrated Chopin's Op 25 etude. Short but Beautiful.
Is there something that trauma can't play? His repertoire is unbelievable. He is definitely a professional pianist!!!
Who can possibly dislike talented musicians such as you? Why do they do that? This is your first vid I have seen with dislikes.
For me, this video along with Jane's video are the best two teaching videos for this Etude; in addition, Traum's, I believe, may be the best recording of the study that I've heard to date, especially and specifically for musicality and sound quality. Lang Lang's interpretation is one that enhances the staccatos. When considering musical expression of the piece, 1st place ties for me are Traum, Sampson Fracois, Lucas Geniuses, Stanislav Bunin and . . .
My favorite op. 25 étude. It's just beautiful
+1
My favourite Etude, I love your performance! Great work!
This and theAolian are two favorite pieces to awaken in the morn.
The op. 25 of chopin is going to be an amazing video. I'll wait it
After 2 years, this is still the best performance of this piece I have ever seen.
Edit: 12/21/23 - still the best one lol

my favourite interpretation of this piece, love it 👍
Hell of a performance. Love the control and the tempo changes to solidify the next part of the song.
Emphasis on all the right notes in this one.
Other covers have way too high of a tempo and sound like a robot.
This cover is special!!

1:07 OMG I HEARD IM A BUTTERFLY
Chopin: Listening to Butterflies makes me feel at ease.
I saw this a month ago and decided Im going to learn it. Now I am playing it for a concert in 20 days
Best performance I've seen. The tempo is perfect.
So short...but I feel like Chopin gives us so much. Then, on top of that, we have Traum playing it.
Chopin's butterfly etude is short like a butterfly's life and its speed is like the butterfly flapping its wings

The guy has not too much subscribers (certainly deserve a million though) but he played more of the Grand Repertoire than most of the biggest piano channel in just a few months ! What a freakin genius man
You are a legend.
this is genuinely better than the one Rousseau posted
This plays on a loop in my head when I'm focusing on something.
you are such an amazing pianist!!! you are so good!
Butterfly, one of the most beautiful etudes
Bruh I don't even have time to request the piece I would like to listen, you just keep uploading great pieces.
Thanks for making my day

Day 1: Fur Elise
Day 2: Etude op. 25 no 9
Day 3: Etude OP. 39 NO 6
DAY 4: Feux fillets
day 5: all the Liszt and Chopin etudes

Great playing! I can definitely understand why it's named Butterfly Etude. This is what I'd imagine a butterfly would sound like.
Wow! Beautiful playing!

My favorite etude! Thank you!
Nice video, I saw this piece played by polini on spotify and I've looped it 50 times, it's like an earworm piece lol.
nicely placed rubato. This is my favorite interpretation of this piece.
This guy is definitely a Curtis or Juilliard pianist. Your Chopin 10 2 is phenomenal btw.
wow I like this etude thanks for the video !!
Those hand move so clean!
Wow that voicing and rubato, so good
Yesss! Butterfly etude! My most want-to-play out of op.25 along with 'the bees' Short but very happy piece!
The falling notes look more like Franz Liszt songs. If you've seen videos like this with Hungarian Rhapsodies or whatever, then you recognize:
-Far left hand jumps
-ALL the right hand octaves, often doing a few switches to large chords and other intervals
Happy piece, beautiful, very good performance 🙈🙈
you are gonna go big, mark my words, much love from a random fan
