There’s really not much difference. In 2014 they did a small suspension update and the ride quality improve by a lot. Many customers would say that the GTR is not comfortable like a premium $100k vehicle should be, so in 2014 the ride quality got a whole lot better, without sacrificing any performance.
Great car, I personally would rather build up the 370z to make it faster than the gtr because the Z just looks sooo good and nothing can beat those looks
I went to the launch of the original GTR here in Australia. It was 1990. I was at a Z National event in my 240z and Nissan Australia launched the GTR at the event. Amazing car. The race car driver was Mark Skaife. He went on to be Australian champion and won Bathurst multiple times. Well done on the GTR.

I have a 2013 FBO E85 with 103k mi. Still running strong! This thing is a tank. Just get a conservative tune if you mod it and you'll be good. Congrats! You'll love it. I also came from a 370Z.

I agree. I'm in the same position as a 2017 Nismo owner... with the same GT-R dream for the future, etc... but the LOOK of the 370Z just cannot be denied. A true 2-seater coupe that looks like a shark. Turns heads EVERYWHERE I go, every day. Compliments in parking lots when exiting or entering the vehicle, all the time. From just everyday people - not car people. The Nismo visuals invoke an emotional response. They just do. The GT-R, to me, looks like a Mustang / Charger / Hellcat ... a body style everybody sees around all the time. A "fleet car" look. A police car look. I wish Nissan made the GT-R *look* like a supercar. Just enclose the existing design in a hot new body that looks like a $500,000 supercar. It's only sheet metal, folks. ... and ditch those back seats. :)

"The 370z manual is a sports car" Hit the nail right on the head. Unfortunately, there are very few new release sports cars left coming out. All my buddies are all WRX, STI, Civic, Golf, Veloster, etc... I tell them they do NOT own sports cars. Anything that is the same physical car as the brand's family sedan - with added turbo, body kit, spoiler, and other performance upgrades... is still a 4-door family sedan at its core. It's just pimped up. You can revert any of those cars back to a 4-door family sedan and put a baby seat in the back, and easily picture it driving around town with a family in it. You cannot do that with the 370Z. There is no way to revert it and turn it into a family-ANYTHING with a baby seat in it. :) Even with all the ego that can come with "car guys" - my buddies actually concede to my accusations and admit I am correct. Their justification is "well, they're not sport cars" ... they aren't meant to be... they are "rally cars" . Well OK. Thanks for at least being honest, guys.

You‘ ll see and get a GT-R on every corner in Europe. The 370Z Nismo in contrast is one of the rarest mass production cars in the world. So rare, so special, so refined. I‘ll struggle hard the next months to get a factory new one before it is replaced by another turbocharged boring model. Anyway - have fun with the GT-R. At least its fast. Oh - you have no Autobahn there to run it properly...😋

Love the GTR for reliability to horsepower ratio but if I had the choice I would stick with my 2013 370z Nismo and just mod the hell out of it. But either way I’m glad you were able to afford your dream car! Can’t wait to see what’s in store for the new year

loved your channel.. but i really dont think u needed to buy two z's just so you can buy a gtr. you could have just went straight for the gtr... i like my 2002 mustang gt (i have it for 16yrs now), my 06 lancer evo (i have it for 12yrs now) and my 2016 z sport and i kept all of them. if i wanted a gtr i wouldnt buy and modify two z's it just doesnt make sense

GTR will smoke the Audi in every objective measurement that matters, subjectively some may find the cleaner lines of the audi to be a bit more exotic.

370z Nismos are also rare in the U.S. also. GT-Rs here are common place and don’t stand out like the new 370z Nismo.

Congrats brother on your GTR!!! 😁 I gotta say I'm a bit envious. I'm driving a white 370Z sport package with red calipers at the moment and love it. Instead of the GTR I'm probably going to get the new Z when it comes out.
