The first time I heard Bonnie sing "Angel" was at my college, Mankato State College in Fall of '72 or Spring of '73. She and John Prine were touring together. This was in the student union in a conference room, less than 50 people sitting on the linoleum floor. Bonnie was about 10 feet in front of me. A lifelong fond memory.
@Denise Philpott Yes, my thoughts exactly. I've seen Bonnie many times and John Prine once. But to have seen them together, when they were just starting out, must have been magical.
Funny how I can listen to this song on the radio for my whole life and like it but not emotionally watching Bonnie sing it and start bawling she knows how to bring a song to life
This is what true real music is, Bonnie Raitt is in a iconic legendary league with so many other women in music. What a queen and beauty goddess, she looks so stunningly amazing. Love this anthem, pure poetry ♥️❤️🎶🎵🎤🎙🎸🏆👑⚜️💎
Just saw Bonnie in concert and this song was the highlight of a wonderful evening. With Lucinda opening as she recovers from her health issues, it was such a moving night of music.
I'm so happy and proud to say.... I have every album that this AMAZING WOMAN has made.. I can't wait to see her in Napa, in September 2022. And her 21st. album gets release this week coming! ' Just like that... so EXCITED!!! BLESSED with Bonnie! She's definitely my icon! Luv you Boonie!
... I saw Miss Bonnie at the "Second Fret" in Philly a long long long time ago ... I will always remember ... "Blender Blues" ... it is to this day a Philly Ikon !!!
Thank you queen Bonnie who has stitched my life together since the 1990's when I was in college in Minnesota, and I saw her at the state fair, to my middle aged self that ended up in Los Angeles CA . You're a beautful soundtrack that helps me make sense of who I am and my spirit. I'm older but I can still sense my younger self.
I love Bonnie Raitt. What a great song. Yeah, I know who wrote it but she owns it in my opinion. I'm a guitar enthusiast. I don't play that well and love classic rock. Grew up in the sixties. Had to listen to country music because of my dad. Bonnie can really play the guitar and her voice is like an angel from heaven.
TVB ❣ ( Italian - ti voglio bene) Can't wait to see you in Berkeley, already planning my trip back to SF just to see your concert. A few years ago I had the honour of seeing you in Rome at Caracalla with James Taylor. Very suggestive location and great concert.
reminds me every time I here Bonnie right now and I can see that the only thing is keeping me in out my thoughts on what important to me is that we will get back to the kids always playing music and having a great time I will check on them and to see if they're available for zach and I would love to come and visit or meet up and get some Boston food and Lucy is getting so much bigger and growing quickly with our favorite time to get chance see hold her birthday and our holiday season it been real hard it's ❤make our lives very important take
I saw her in Philly. I was young. She was not much older than me. Academy of Music. Bitty little woman, not much more than a girl. All by her lonesome, sitting on a chair. She's a treasure for all humanity. Kokomo me woman!
Have you noticed that all the great music comes from people with a lot of grey hair? I wonder where music is going with so many greats aging and passing away.
Her voice hasn't faltered in all these years. She sings with her heart.
Almost impossible not to cry every time I hear her sing this live.
No one will EVER compare to Bonnie
Except for John Prine...
Ever!
Damn straight!!!!

I saw Bonnie fall of 1991 with John Prine as her opener here in Urbana-Champaign at what was the Assembly Hall. Killer show.
I saw Prine in small venue in Blowing Rock NC. He was very late to the show. Haha. Just John on the stage with acoustic guitar.
@@kdhovis8665 I have family in Blowing Rock, NC. Do you recall the venue where you saw John Prine?
Amazing
Angel from Montgomery..💙💛🇺🇦
Thank you Both. It's Beautiful. 🌎✌
R.I.P. John Prine 🌹🕊
Hello Lisa
So much soul in Bonnie’s voice. Amazing performance

Fantastic! Jackson's vocals compliment Bonnie's so well!
Oh wow, I didn't recognise him until I saw your comment.

This song and the voices of these two make this old man breathe the air of many years ago for a few moments.
She's 73, and still sounds amazing.
Her voice is still so strong. So beautiful...!

She's like a fine wine.
We miss you John! I expect he's harmonizing wherever he is...
Tears.... this song, these voices, these human beings... 💕💕💕
Saw her perform this song in person TWICE. First in a small neighborhood bar in Cambridge, Mass. Then in a big concert. Pure magic. 👍👍
I still want to be Bonnie when I grow up.
Thank God I got to see her live and hope to see her again. Goosebumps!!
She still owns the stage.
I"ve listened to maybe a dozen versions of Bonnie doing this song. They're all awesome and different, and unique and special.
Spill my eyes, and NEVERlet me ever miss this great emotional joy called music!
God Love Bonnie, Still play a guitar like that, and sing, "like angel" God Bless.
Love me some Bonnie and JB. For the times you’ve come.

Jackson Brown and Bonnie Raitt - two children who have grown old - but still the best!

True music. Lyrics like poetry. I saw John Prine in Blowing Rock NC one night long ago.
Beautiful, beyond what words can admire... 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
God Bless John Prine. Pure Artist.
Baton Rouge 2019 with James Taylor. Bonnie is such a gracious performer and without her that night I would have been unimpressed.
Thank you Bonnie & Jackson🎶
Love this song, and a certain person introduced me to it. Thank you. How can someone write such a song. Unbelievable 😊❤

Bonnie Raitt looks like she carries the weight of the world on her shoulders, and just gets it.
@Betsy Keller---Best comment I've seen in a long time.
It would she said for the women of Ukraine I started balling😭 I love Bonnie
Salute to you Bonnie and as you said, "To the women of Ukraine". 👍
Bonnie you are great in that duet and you sound good 👍
So cool to think about how long these two have been friends.
Oh Bonnie .."The Time We've Come" is almost 50 years old !
I love these people!
Her voice speaks to the despair a woman can sometimes feel when her heart is breaking. Pray for the women of Ukraine.
Damn, Bonnie - you are a gift.
Thank you for this wonderful performance!

Bonnie is a national treasure
That was spectacular.
My sentiments exactly.
This stripped-down version is so good and proof that John Prine was our greatest songwriter.
Great song ,sung beautifully
Just no one else compares
Oooh, thank you for sharing this. 💕💕
Legends!!❤️
Love.
Bonnie is The Best
Priceless!
Unreal!!!!!
This is pure art...very onomatopoetic
❤❤❤❤❤
Got through the whole damn song without a tear until Bonnie said, "That's for the women of Ukraine!"

The great John Prine wrote and recorded this song first, but make no mistake, Bonnie has made this HER song.
☮️💜
So heartfelt and beautiful
Real talent….not many left.
❤
🥰
How the hell can a person. Go to work in the morning. Come home in the evening and have nothing to say. That part is the truth.
Wow
👍👍

Why do i have to listen to an ACDC AD everytime this song comes up
Unreal.
Is that Jackson Brown singing with Bonnie?
he got old!😮
Life on the road is a hard way to go.

This is Great I love Bonnie's Voice soulful.
I love this white witch!!!!! Make me an angel.
I love that the dude didn’t change the gender of the lyrics
the dude is Jackson Browne, and quite the dude he is! ...and yes, love not changing the lyrics too!
The song was originally written and sang by John Prine, a man
"that dude", lol. That's Jackson Fucking Browne.
John Prine song
Foxes and Fossils cover this song & do a decent job of it.👍
Have you noticed that all the great music comes from people with a lot of grey hair? I wonder where music is going with so many greats aging and passing away.
And she’s still touring lol
