- At Salt Pier, it must have been take your eel to the pier day because I saw so many. Something had attacked this one and I really felt sorry for it as you can see 3 holes near the top of its head and the skin shredded and hanging on the side of its head. It was so small, I thought it was a goldentail eel but when I watched this video, I realized it is the smallest green moray I have ever seen. Poor little bugger.
Memories are just where you leave them and I am leaving them here.

Some other small moray had to have grabbed a hold of its head. Morays have a small row of teeth in the top palate of their mouth and I am certain those are the 3 wounds in a line on the one side of its head and lower jaw teeth must have shredded the skin on the other side as they were doubtlessly thrashing around.
Poor guy. I love morays. Such intelligent and interesting creatures.
I would have spent an hour looking for a fish to offer him
@@tierneyasiri821 Funny thing, I was watching an octopus in its den and I looked around the coral head and found a small hermit crab and left it at the opening of the den and it had already started taking coral rubble and blocking the door. I always wonder if it ever found my little door dash offering! Cheers
@@tierneyasiri821 They are a huge favorite of mine to search for when diving. I could just sit there and watch them until my battery died, my SD card was full or my air ran out!

It really looks like another moray bit him on the head. Those 3 wounds in a line match to the teeth they have in their upper palate and it looks like the poor guy got shredded from the bottom teeth! It is the smallest green moray I have ever seen. Thanks for watching, commenting, and the kind words. Cheers

I wish I knew but it had to be another moray from the tell-tale bite marks on this poor thing's head.
