    Did you see how it blocked its head with its arm? So smart. As it tried to propulse away It aimed the sand and some ink into the eels face and the eel lost its bearings for a bit. It had enough time to sacrifice its arm and not its head.

    Moray eels seem to be made to eat octopi. They have two sets of jaws to absolutely secure a bite on the octopus, they have the ability to tie themselves into knots for leverage to rip octopus to shreds, they're skinny and long to get into spots where octopus hide. I might be wrong but I feel like eels adapt over time to specifically eat octopus. They must be a huge part of an eels diet.

    • @chimyshark
      @chimyshark 3 года назад +3

      @Fucker advenit I do find it interesting that the eel ended up turning around the ink cloud, but I don't think it contributed anything because the eel struck at an arm and took it. Even if there were no ink, I don't think the eel intended to kill the octopus, he was just grabbing an arm - as in, it was most likely only going to be able to grab an arm anyway (regardless of his target).
