    You saved me my sanity!! I was making a realistic scene in 4.2 using GScatter. The problem is GScatter only works for 3.5 and no greater, meaning my entire project was screwed up until I found your tutorial. You're a lifesaver!

      it works in 4.0 though, you can use gscatter there and then open with 4.2, hope it helps

    The grass I am using is ''randomly rotating'' on the Y axe and not on the Z axe. What do I have to do??

    How can I keep the grass but hide the plane? and is it possible to make the grass clones not overlap with each other?

      Got to Particle Properties -> Render -> Show emitter (it will be enabled by default you can uncheck that)

      I am not sure how well this works with instances, but check the 'hair dynamics' box in the particle system, and add a wind/forcield option and crank the strength up
