In case you are interested, you can cut the individual cords at the longest, safest place. Then at the hardware store, they sell plugs that sperate. Take the cover and slide in on first. Then spread the other piece open and slide in on. Just squeeze the piece in its original position, slide the cover part back on and done. I'm sure if you ask they will demonstrate at the store. They're only about 1.30 ea. Thanks Tibbs
I loved that chihuahua! I unintentionally started a small bone china dog collection several years ago. I found one that was too cute to leave behind, and next thing I knew, I was finding them everywhere! Thanks for the fun rummage!
Those lights might be an easy fix! Take them to an old timey hardware store with old guys that know how to do that kind of thing. We have one near us and I always go to those old guys when I have a project that I have questions on!

Those flame like bulbs in those holders are so cool! I hope they can be saved. I can’t comment on character toys. The last rage I remember is holiday Barbies and Cabbage Patch Kids.
They are pretty nice, and no rips or tears either. A Phillies fan must have donated their collection as there were Phillies items spread throughout the sale.

They were also bought at a church sale over twenty years ago. I was told that they had come off an old clock!? So glad you picked them up!! On the candelabra lights, is the brown square an on/ off switch? An in line switch can be handy, you can purchase cords with them. The soldering is ok, but should be wrapped with electric tape.
Great Phillies T-shirts. I visited Philadelphia 1990 and even went to a American football came of Phillies! It was my first (and the only) experience of that sport, didn't even know the rules. I went there with a US friend whom I knew from Frankfurt (he was a couch for that sport in Frankfurt that time). The guys drank lots of beer and I coca cola (I don't like beer). It's a memory for ever.
Last week church bazaars / rummage sale bought 20 harley davidson shirts for 14 bucks resold them to a dealer last year picked up 80s band shirts for .25 each made a killing not mega bands but still sold well on ebay over 5bills love the digging

Someone rewired the candles with a plug for another holiday display. That double brown outlet might be ww2 era bakelite.... I solder my electrical connections, a great way to make safe reliable connections. But I use modern heat shrink insulations and fresh wire. On another note, PAM is growing fast, one video, a month old trash picker has almost a million views! Incredible

@@grifonks It's called energy drinks and even those do not always help. There are 2 other towns that I go to for trash picking, but there never is anything worthwhile to produce a video on. I need to expand out to other towns.... wish we had more that didn't restrict the trash to inside the bin.

Those Phillies shirts look great! I especially like the 1983 100th anniversary logo. I have a set of glasses with the matching logo that were sold back then thru local fast food restaurants. I have no idea what the shirts are worth. BTW, Pat Burrell pronounced it BERL, not Bor-ell. Go figure. I think P-burg is more Mets/Yankees country, which is why nobody touched those shirts. Loved those blue birds! Did you get them? What were they made of? I found a ceramic Christmas tree at a Goodwill Outlet (bins) a couple weeks ago! The top of the tree was in one bin and the base, light, and cord in another. Typical of the bins! Haha! I put it all together and it worked perfectly!
I did purchase the birds. They seem to be made from wood, though actually quite heavier in weight than what they look. What a find at the Bins for you! I would have dug through every bin too to find all the tree pieces. Glad it wasn't damaged, ,you never know with those bins!
It is easy and when you go to get the parts, try to take your lamp with you so the clerk can measure how much electrical wire you need and any other items like sockets and wire nuts, plugs etc. Measure from where the lamp is to go and the nearest plug. Get about 2 feet more electrical wire so it plugs in safely. Some shop clerks will explain and give you a few pointers. About the only thing I would be concerned about is the tension rod set up. Floor to ceiling is typically easy but if it has more than one light discuss it and go on line to watch how it is done. If it is any other type go on line again and watch a few more lessons to be sure you understand it.
@@paulanull8731 It has two beautiful hanging Amber glass lights on each side of the tension rod. So there is certainly more involved. That's what I'm nervous about.
I didn't purchase Grubby. I actually still have mine :0) For resell value, it isn't a high margin though as you said, he was in perfect condition! It's the cord that connects Grubby to Teddy is what is most desired. I still can't find mine!
Most of the time, I honestly can't recall the name of the church. I know the area that it's in and that's about it. I'm the same when given directions - give me landmarks, interesting homes... forget street names, just tell me "Turn right at the old coffee shop with the red door."

I had a good haul yesterday [the 24th]: Some vintage Christmas items, a couple of frogs, a nice vintage easel picture frame...from the late 30's, and gift pieces, plus two signed paperweights...not old...from the late 80's...one from Australia, the other from Austria. One of the Frog figurines was produced in Scotland...a real international group of pieces. All this stuff had just been put on the shelves earlier in the day...looked as though it came from one collector...things of this nature are rare for this G.W. outlet. I've seen a number of those graduated candle light sets. That grey owl was cute...would have grabbed him! I've seen worse...a simple rewiring would give them new life. Have done many lamps and fixtures. Sorry to say...clothes are boring to me, have no interest in organized sports, each to his...or her...interest!

Tell us about some of your Christmas. One of my favorite childhood ones is watchig all the vintage Christmas cartoons from the 60s and 70s. I still do that. And I like movies like The Santa clause jingle all the way. Home alone. And tons of others. My old TV time and December is watching Christmas cartoons and Christmas movies. Put my favorite thing to do is from what we did when I was a kid. M my mom would bundle us all up at Christmas time. we all get in the car and my dad would drive and we go look at Christmas. I still have my Wuzzle and Grubby. For resale, the prices aren't that great. Grubby was in great condition though! What really sells for Teddy Ruxpin is the cord that attaches him to Grubby. I loved Teddy Ruxpin when I was little, he was such a great toy!

Soldering is one of the best was to connect wires for when you try to rewire them you can do it. It’s pretty easy

They rewired those candles to work by batterys or you can buy new wires for electric.

Re-wiring is easy......you can just cut the ends off and attach a new “plug end” to each light..that way you could use them in different locations...
Look in You Tube for instructions. It's easy, just use the official caps to connect. In fact I have a couple of lamps to rewire now.

Once again can someone explain to me why they don't give the name of the church or town where these sales are.
Most of the time, I honestly can't recall the name of the church. I know the area that it's in and that's about it. I'm the same when given directions - give me landmarks, interesting homes... forget street names, just tell me "Turn right at the old coffee shop with the red door."

I had a good haul yesterday [the 24th]: Some vintage Christmas items, a couple of frogs, a nice vintage easel picture frame...from the late 30's, and gift pieces, plus two signed paperweights...not old...from the late 80's...one from Australia, the other from Austria. One of the Frog figurines was produced in Scotland...a real international group of pieces. All this stuff had just been put on the shelves earlier in the day...looked as though it came from one collector...things of this nature are rare for this G.W. outlet. I've seen a number of those graduated candle light sets. That grey owl was cute...would have grabbed him! I've seen worse...a simple rewiring would give them new life. Have done many lamps and fixtures. Sorry to say...clothes are boring to me, have no interest in organized sports, each to his...or her...interest!

Tell us about some of your Christmas. One of my favorite childhood ones is watchig all the vintage Christmas cartoons from the 60s and 70s. I still do that. And I like movies like The Santa clause jingle all the way. Home alone. And tons of others. My old TV time and December is watching Christmas cartoons and Christmas movies. Put my favorite thing to do is from what we did when I was a kid. M my mom would bundle us all up at Christmas time. we all get in the car and my dad would drive and we go look at Christmas. And come home and my mom and make hot cocoa. And Christmas cookies. oh yeah and get after Taco stacks and make him do one two

I still have my Wuzzle and Grubby. For resale, the prices aren't that great. Grubby was in great condition though! What really sells for Teddy Ruxpin is the cord that attaches him to Grubby. I loved Teddy Ruxpin when I was little, he was such a great toy!

You're right Amethyst, an electrician taught me how change out the outlets in my house.
I think that is duct tape, not even electrical tape, it could be very exciting if you plugged then in and filmed it.
