I am an old school Marine and I am sure you don't need me to tell you this, but you are a one of a kind dad. Nothing is too insignificant in today's world that you cant take the time to enjoy it. Jeff, do us all a favor and continue to take care of your health. Hannah depends on you, and we all depend on your down to earth, wholesome videos. Don't ever let the old man in, Brother.🙏
Hey Jeff, It is so cool that you do these things with your daughter. I wish I could have done one 10th of things like that with my 3 girls. You have an awesome daughter that loves you and the things you share with her. I'm sure one day she will do the same if and when she has a child or two. Great father among everything else you are. Love your channel, your daughter and all your videos. Take care and be safe.
I have to concur. I just ended ab ardous task, that being reaching out to Ya'll. I'm done, Flack-Jacket ain't strong Nuff ! Anyway, see Ya'll round the block. I waited My whole Life for My Two Daughter's to be teens to share this part of Our Heritage. & My youngest, Autumn is likely (in Spirit anyway) fraternal twins with Mioss Hannah. Loves Guns, Fishing ... all of it. My Ex-wife decided to take Them away at that juncture and We just missed all that. Crying or Laughing, Mr. Barron, a lot of live vicariously through Ya'll. I praise God for what Ya'll do here. Especially when it lends itself to the Conservation and Stewardship of Our great Resources. Which incidentally was the exact same thing I Wuz trynna get at Ya'll about to begin wit. Well... hope to see Ya'll round the block next season. FLIBS is a no-go for this year, afterall. michaelc - Finaddicts.
If you go again , pick up a gold panning classifier screen , seems like it would make it a lot easier to clean and filter thru. You could just dip it full off the bottom or shovel into it . I would love to go to a place that has teeth and fossils like that , so much fun
I live in Western Colorado. Apparently much of this region was once an inland sea. A fellow that I worked with would go out exploring on weekends. He brought petrified sharks teeth to work to show me. He found them in what is now a desert area. Also, a friend of mine had a huge petrified tooth of what he said was from a megalodon shark. That tooth was found near the Colorado/Utah border (Rabbit Valley).
Hey Jeff, That is awesome, I live in Valdosta Ga, about 80 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and we have found them here in the Alapaha River. There is so many artifacts that have been preserved for thousands if not millions of years.
It was nice if Merle to take you fishing. 🤣 Also, once y'all find enough of those shark teeth you will be able to tell what kind of shark they came from. 😁👍
Hi Jeff and Hannah. I may have something to interest you guys. The shale impression of a shark jaw with 7 visible teeth that is estimated to be 280 million to 320 million years old. The actual jaw is on display at a local college.
I’ve done this before with my family in a creek near my house. We found several and some fairly big ones. Pretty neat to think where we was at that day was the ocean like 80 million years ago!
Sharks can grow and lose 50,000 teeth in its lifetime. But also there was a time the earth had no ice on it. Texas where I live has been under water twice.
Merle! Make an arrest! Poor boy is just a little short on one end. That's kewl finding all those old bits of teeth, bone, shellfish. Time to make some necklaces.
Get you some swimmer noodles split. The M down one side push them on half inch PVC pipe in a 2 foot square. With 3/8 mesh screen door wire staple to the bottom and let it float in the river while you Shovel end the. Contraction.
I'm sorry to correct you, but the teeth aren't black because they're fossilized,, they're black because of the mineral content of the soil they was in. There are fossilized teeth of many different colors. In the area near Charleston SC they have what is referred to as Carolina cream. Palmetto Fossil Excursions can set you up with a dig, or walk, to find different kind of fossils,, including megaladon
You know at 5:41 what Paige has in her hand looks like an alligator claw. Petrified of course. That gives some idea to how long gators have been around.
@ 6:05 The much larger tooth in the yellow box. I'm pretty sure that is a Megalodon tooth. Baby of course. If not? Then a good match for White shark too. Probably White shark now that I look in my books. Still very awesome. The ribbed teeth are Ray teeth. Dark colored teeth are fossilized and could be 9-10 million years old some creeks hold older ones.
Yeah some of my family did that before in the river & do you know on land also when we were younger. You never know what you can find that's why it was fun.
I watch wyld Kyle’s RUclips channel he treasure hunts the teeth he was finding in Alabama river were called Goblin shark teeth the long skinny ones . He said they were rare to find but Alabama has lots of them.

Welcome to Crenshaw county camera lady, your in good company with the barrons❤❤❤
I remember when i was younger i use to look for things in the creek all the time. You ever look for gold.
As sharp as those teeth look, do you avoid walking around barefoot in that creek? Be like if someone had salted the gravel with roofing tacks...
Definitely awesome finds. Absolutely coolest things to collect.

That is so cool but try using a strainer to get the sand out
That is cool. What river is that?
In North Carolina, On Cherry Point Air station. There is a place called "Shark's point". It is a place where old sharks teeth can also be found.
@ 6:05 The much larger tooth in the yellow box. I'm pretty sure that is a Megalodon tooth. Baby of course. If not? Then a good match for White shark too. 55-60 million years.
Grandfather of Meg. Megs came later
Always take Merle along 😊.
📷 beautiful 📱thx ~ appreciate ya (y'all)
Very cool! But I kinda doubt they are million years old!🤔
All that cool Jurassic stuff right there, just under the surface?? Have any paleontologists looked the place over for anything?
I’ve found hundreds of fossilized sharks teeth on the Atlantic side but never on the Gulf side. Maybe I didn’t go far enough inland.
I want one!!
Is wild there's so many
Well, not millions of years, but probably thousands.
Ugh, love me some Jeff.
I like it neet stuff
Looks like fun!you ever drag a big magnet thru there?
I used to get them out of the CapeFear River in NC
Yeah some of my family did that before in the river & do you know on land also when we were younger. You never know what you can find that's why it was fun.
