Isn't it just as rare to see an asian man kiss in chinese television. It just isn't part of the culture to show too much physical contact between the sexes.
I say it's both the media and Asian men. Media definitely destroy asian men confident, so they didn't bother to try.

You bring up good points man. As a Chinese-American man, I can say that it is indeed harder for Asian men in the dating scene. I've personally never attracted girls that were particularly good looking. They either had some issues that I won't delve into or were into anime. Historically, Hollywood hasn't been kind to Asians, particularly men. We were always the bad guys, portrayed by white men and they got to kiss our women. It wasn't until Bruce Lee came onto the scene were we viewed differently. Those stereotypes never went away, but as thankful I am to Bruce Lee, he added more stereotypes to the list. On top of having it tougher with dating, there's also the "you must know Karate" stereotypes and that cost me and some other Asian guys I know some... rough treatment to say the least. Maybe I have the wrong mindset, but Asian women can have preferences... it is also my preference to cut out the white boot licker types. I don't know how the rest of you guys can stand it, but I left the dating scene a long time ago and am doing just fine on my own. Its not for everyone, just like marriage.

This is very eye-opening, because me personally I’m attracted to all guys as long as you’re attractive but I find myself specially gravitating towards Asian guys, but not just because of K-pop or K-drama I found you guys attractive way before I was exposed to that. Yes as far as social life and dating for Asian “men”, I agree it is difficult. Maybe it’s better nowadays, I’m older so I’m passed those days. Well, maybe Hollywood hurt Asian men’s dating reputation but I’m not so sure. Asian men would always have this drawback of attracting women of other race, especially caucasian women are not normally attracted to Asian men. Even Asian women in the western world are not drawn to their counterpart as far as dating. A lot of westernized Asian women likes caucasian men. I see a lot now ordinary looking white or black men with beautiful (asian and white) women in major cities. How would that change? I don’t know, it is part of nature for Asian guys. I think the problem is here in America and probably UK & Australia. We were stereotyped by most non-Asian race. I know it is difficult but not completely impossible. I had dates with caucasian women and even a long term one that lasted 8years and to this day we stayed friends. I actually had harder time getting dates with pretty Asian women, they definitely shunned Asian guys because they know white men will go for them. The best thing to do in my opinion is be conscious of ones looks, be neat, dress well, have good manners and have confidence. Most Asian guys in general are successful but to me, there’s no need to show off for example driving expensive car. They key is to better yourself how to become more attractive and confident. Hopefully the media would stop stereotyping us, and hopeful for the next generation.

I’m light skinned Cambodian. I never had issues dating. In fact, I was pretty popular with women up until my mid 20s. Then I got fat. I didn’t get much love. Maybe like one woman a year would like me, and she’d be like a 5 or 6. Then I lost weight in my later 20s. I started getting a lot of attention again. It felt great to get some validation ngl. They were like 6-7s, and my best was an 8, but she was promiscuous. At my highest, I always had a bit of muscle, but not shredded. I was 5’9” and 180 lbs, maybe 25% body fat. They seemed to like that a lot. Now I’m mid 30s and fat. Don’t get any love lol. My point is, don’t let your race define you. Get out there and discover that EVERY WOMAN LIKES SOMETHING DIFFERENT. They aren’t like guys. They vary a lot. Trust me, there’s a girl that likes you out there, as long as you don’t have any mental/personality issues. The main thing that might hold Asian guys back (including me), is our lack of confidence. Try to believe in your abilities more every day (increase confidence), and trust me, girls will love that confident vibe. A man who is sure of himself, has goals, and can take charge is attractive to them. Don’t get confidence confused with being conceited though.
P.S. I mentioned light skinned because I felt like it helped me, because the girls I dated would tell me “most Cambodian guys are dark.” In retrospect though, I knew masculine Cambodian guys who got way more girls than me. These guys were extremely confident though. I was always described by people as chill, laid back, and soft spoken unfortunately. But even with my lack of assertiveness, I still managed to get a lot women who were beautiful, and had extremely great personalities. I miss it 😅
P.P.S. Don’t let the red or black pills ruin your dating life. There is some truth in red pill, but don’t let it make you hate women. Black pill is toxic because it makes you believe dating is hopeless, but like I said, there’s someone who likes you out there. Just get down to at most 30% body fat and you might get someone. 20% or lower is where many doors open. Gaining confidence is where looks start to matter less. Studies have been done that proved that women cared way less about looks than believed, and more about personality. Basically, a good personality will give you a halo effect and make you look hot to them, as long as you aren’t 300 lbs.

I am white af. I’m British and live in the UK and I find East Asian men extremely attractive. I honestly struggle to find East Asian men my age to date (I’m 45) and I don’t exclusively find East Asian men attractive but if I had a choice then definitely I’d be there! I’m so sorry that that’s the experience you have and obviously I don’t presume to know how you feel. But there are plenty of people out there who do find East Asian people very attractive.

There's a reason why they never casted a good looking asian male romantic lead across a white actress. Tgey did that experiment in 1910 and 1920 w/ sessue hayakawa a pioneer japanese american actor heart throb who had many white women swooning over him. They mateguarded their own women and shut that down real quick. Never casting asian male romantic leads since. You’re not wrong brother in the sense that Hollywood didn’t portray asians in the best light. However, despite all that it’s a mindset thing. Like if you’re over/under weight and you want to change your physique nothing is gonna happen if you keep doing what you’ve been doing. The quote “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result” applies here. So the media portrays asians as quiet, timid and “uncool”/not fun. Then guess what? Be the opposite of that. I’ve had meaningful relationships and encounters with women of all ethnic backgrounds. I’m an asian man and growing up I was quiet and timid, then I joined the military and when I was in I mixed with different ethnicities and went out in social situations with these peers. I learned to break out of my shell and while I’m not batting 100 I say I do decently well (This is not to brag just anecdotal evidence). It all comes down to the individual man. Yes social climate and media play a part but it’s not an end all, be all.

I think all of what you say is correct because it's stuff I've heard before over and over. A term that's always kinda bothered me is when people refer to some Asians as being "fresh off the boat". I know it's not a literal term. but people need to do their history because the white people's ancestors (the Pilgrims) & the black people's ancestors (the slaves) sailed here by boat. My parents came to America by plane. I can't think of one Asian group that came to America by boat. But good insight and video man! Yes, Asian guys have it harder to answer your question. There's so much that comes with it and much extra hurdles we have to jump through just to be equal to our white counterparts.

I am Asian guy here. You've got it all wrong. Being Asian has nothing to do with it. Being interesting, charming, fearless has everything to do with it. Hollywood can have a million movies portraying Asian males as clowns, nerds, what have you, but when you are face to face with someone, she will not think of Hollywood when the one in front of her is a great movie himself. And ultimately, an interesting, good looking Asian guy is gonna beat an average white or black dude any day.

I'm Asian and never knew Asian men "struggle" with dating. I never had a problem, you like someone you go after it, work your game and 9 out of 10x it's on. I'm Filipino btw. I just thought if you're not attractive in some sort of way whether its your appearance or confidence anyone would struggle regardless what race they are.

I think those dating stats you showed is misleading as Asian is such a broad category and that would include grouping both Indian & East Asian men together. Which affects the statistics since south Asian men are a lot more undesired than East Asian men overall. Although, you do still have to be an attractive EA guy in order to have more female attention. If you’re average or below average which is a lot of asian guys, then it will still be a struggle

@@what3899 Go anywhere where there are lots of Indians (Silicon Valley, Austin, etc) you will see at least 5 IMWF couples for every AMWF couple. They will mostly be younger couples but the disparity is obvious. Remember that Indians are basically caucasians with a tan while East Asians have physical features that women generally consider unattractive.

Asian women want a White man or the same kind of Asian man as themselves. A White woman might give an Asian man a chance. At the age of 60 either 3 kids ans divorced I have yet to be in a relationship with an Asian woman.
So, Asian are more masculine than black ,white or any other races on this earth, what is the point?
@Globe Earthers Here in North America, historically, ghe Asian immigrants came from more southerly regions of China and from Japan ("historically" meaning from the 1880s to sometime into the 1990s or 2000s. Most of these immigrants came to North America because they were under privileged in their homelands. Northern Japanese and Northern Chinese are as big as people in the state of Wisconsin. Korea, a northerly country has bigger people (ok, not the ones under Kim Jong Il rule) as are Mongolians. The North American experience with Asians was affected by the sample space. Not all Asian men from this sample space are effeminate (which in this case is a relative term) a d that is why you see the occasional Asian man with a Caucasian woman.
Ghengis Khan was a Mongol - of the Asians whose men are as big and as masculine as any man in Wisconsin or Minnesota.
Lol. As a white American man, I’m not the one with an average “banana” length of 3.9 inches as well as Asians being around 5 feet tall. Think about it men, how often do you see an Asian man with a white or black girlfriend? Chicks know the averages. There’s a big difference between stereotypes and statistical norms.

A thing I've noticed is that Indian men who are westernized have no issues with women whereas even westernized asian men have issues.

I'm Mexican American and cannot tell you how much stares I get from Asian and black and white woman when I'm out commuting like looking at me with desire litteraly.... I think some men are just naturally attractive. I really don't gotta try hard. But I can definitely see why woman don't go for asian men hahaha....
