I think part of the reason for the videos is because Ren described Reactors as the new radio DJs, and videos are better for RUclips. He has the best following on yt, so it makes sense for him to give people lyric videos for the tracks that don't have an official mv.

What you said about hearing violin sounds with his voice. In his Zach Sang interview he said the cello is the closest thing to the human voice.
