So, to explain what i understand about vocaloid and it seems like the person who explained to you didn't do a good enough job of explaining it. A 'Vocaloid' as in A 'Vocaloid' not a 'Vocaloid song', is an artificial voice made to resemble something close to a human voice by using synthesizers and made available for people to make music with it as it was an instrument. The complicated part about covering these are pretty straight forward when you thing about it, try covering a guitar solo with your voice and you'll quickly get it, there's no throat getting injured, singer getting tired, limit to vocal range, recording session mistakes and the list goes on. key words: instrument, robotic voice, synthesizer. A 'Vocaloid song' after reading the above paragraph is pretty straight forward, a song created by a **human** producer(AI is getting better nowadays so i would neve exclude the possibility of AI making songs but not my point...) by making use of normal instruments any song can use and the vocaloid as its main singer. A 'Vocaloid Producer' is the previously mentioned people who use vocaloid to create their songs, there are a lot of extremely talented individuals in the vocaloid scene as far as my knowledge goes and even not really liking how vocaloids sound the impression that the person who explained to you made you have about the whole vocaloid stuff was a little bit of a disrespectful take on these individuals. I hope everyone can just see this as an honest mistake and just not be "the internet" for about a minute, i'm in no ways offended or was disrespected personally by your first take, i just saw that you got the wrong impression and made this absurdly long yt comment that probably no one is gonna read fully, always excited about new reactions to Ado, much love!

I find it interesting that you called the playing by his musicians a backing track.So sad that everybody is so accustomed to music being in the box, even at a live performance ,that you called it a "backing track".

While we were sitting in the foyer of the BEC arena waiting for our early admission to the pit we could hear snippets of this being run through. It was the opening song and yes we went wild once it kicked in. The violinists were a group of Aussie ladies who specifically came in and learnt this song along with New York City Serenade for the night. We got so many songs that tour. He toured Australia in 2013 and then again 11 months later when he came back in 2014. Amazing tours.

Think of the statement this makes. He opens the show with this song in the Bee Gee's hometown. The tickets have already been sold, no one is expecting this, he doesn't have to hire a string section, arrange the song, practice the song .....all to only play it once. This is what sets Springsteen apart, he goes above and beyond EVERY night. I think part of what makes OotSA is that they have some inspirations you don't find in most other rock/metal bands. Tom Waits in particular I think, he's got an extremely unique sound, and is also one of the best lyricists ever. Josh Homme loves his puns. The last album, In Times New Roman, is full of song titles like that. Emotional Sickess, Obscenery, Paper Machete, Carnavoyeur for example, all brilliant songs. It's a pity the QotSA reactions aren't getting as many views as they deserve, they don't have a "The Warning Army" behind them that obsessively watch their reactions (like me).

Really enjoyed this reaction. A lot of wisdom in the discussion. Atheism is Australia has probably more to do with it's British colonial roots than venomous creatures. The UK has often led the way in facilitating scientific invention and discovery (eg. Newton, Darwin etc), with a strong emphasis on not only tolerating but encouraging critical thinking, freedom of expression and the rights of the individual. It is no coincidence that there is a strong correlation between atheism and the education/freedoms that a country enjoys.

This song in a way reflected the zeitgeist of the general public in Australia at the time. There were increasing reports of adults survivors of institutional csa and the cover ups of this abuse by the religious organisations (not just the Catholic church). Just s couple of years after this song was written the government of Australia set up a commission of enquiry in institutional responses to csa with support from the (conservative) opposition.

Wow. Way to be judgmental. Humans use the computer the create songs. Humans are involved from start to finish. If anything, it's more difficult because they're using software to do what comes naturally to a human. However, they can do it alone in their room without the need to have a singer. Try listening to the original track before listening to the cover. Yes, God-ish is a Vocaloid song by PinnochioP, a very accomplished and respected producer with tracks like Non-Breath Oblige which will make you cry like a little bitch or LoveIt which will make you question your position in this consumer world. Ado covered these songs because the artists who created them touched her. Respect the music to respect the artist, please.

I think a lot of Australians are atheists due to the fact that religions and churches are run by men, as you said they’re fallible, have taken advantage of people and they’re about fear power and control. That’s exactly Tim’s problem with them. If they’re not actually harming children they’re ripping people off financially, they use religion for power over people. If you look up Cardinal Pell from Ballarat in Australia it will take you down a whole rabbit hole. Tim wrote a song about it, Come Home Cardinal Pell, it which paid for his victims to attend Rome during the Victorian Royal Commission into institutional responses to child sexuality abuse as Pell refused to leave the Vatican where he was hiding out. I don’t know if anyone has mentioned that Tim is a musical genius, having written the musical score for Annie the musical and Groundhog Day.

as an atheist i will take "spiritual evidence". the problem is that kind of evidence is you always your experience, and to me is just hearsay. un-verifiable, un-testable, un-repeatable, so of little to no use. you push a theist hard enough it always comes to faith. if you have evidence you do not need faith. there is 100% evidence for love. we have mapped the brain states and chemical conditions that we call live. we know evaluationaraly why this state would help a species to survive. look up the problem of evil. in short a god with the 3 big omni powers can not exist. omniscient = god knows the evil will happen omnipotent = god can stop they evil omnibenevolent = god does not want there to be evil there is evil. you need to give up at least one omni power, and no free will does not get you out of this. the omni god could stop the evil without stopping the desire to do evil. in fact if the omni god also made the universe there can be no free will. if someone wanting to do "evil" was always stopped somehow that would go a long way to indicating an omni god existed. Tim was not calling them lairs. he was just stating it is a possibility that needs to be considered, and we know faith healers are lairs many have been caught in the cat on tape. exposed on national TV, and people still go to them. look up "James Randi Debunking Peter Popoff's Faith Healing Scam". you cannot believe what you want to believe, belief is not a choice.

i think Tim does not go far enough. if you donate to the church you at collapsible for the crimes done with that money. it would be different if you did not know how the money was being used, but we all KNOW it is happening. this goes for ALL religions and denominations. just Google "<religion name> sex scandal". i would net you can not find a religion that does not have several (i have not found one yet).

"Bubble" is one of those well made songs by the Maids that, infortunately, is overlooked and underappreciated. Their talent is obvious, but their cohesiveness is amazing. That is why it's almost impossible for them to create a bad song.

Brian's masterpiece, a song generally appreciated by musicians but never was popular with the public. This is a very intricate piece of music and I really do love it. Brian brought the bell or canon effect into the studio, showed it to Freddie and he loved it and really ran with it. This song is a dream that Brian had. It has tones from Noah and the whole Ark thing but it tells it more from the observers point of view.
