After months of being late, I'm finally getting a video out on a Wednesday! You might be able to figure out just by watching the intro how to turn two seamless cubes into two sliding cubes, but I'll hopefully publish how to do that in a couple days.
i watched u when i was a child and it’s so great to see ur still consistently making videos and have kept the same, amazing positive energy all these years
Love this extra fast to make version. The cat goes nuts for these cubes. With tiny bell or even a few small seeds inside they make an amazing cat toy. Thanks a lot for sharing and improving.
This is just masterpiece made by you and this is the best channel for origami I have made this from other channels but they are not teaching good but you have used two coloured paper so it is more easy to understand I am following you from 6 to 7 year and you are still best love you bro ❤❤❤
The very first video you made for the seamless cube was very hard. The second one was better, but was STILL hard! But I finally got to know how to fold it in a much easier way. Thank you for making a much easier method!
I was introduced to Jeremy via the cootie catcher vid, I made 15 of em and gave them to my friends lol they loved it and were so amazed, Jeremy inspired me to be able to create stuff, I just said people to ask me to make something and I made it, I couldn't due for 2 years due to online classes but it is opening next year so yeah.
Wow ! Cool . It's so easy for me because I have been doing origami since 2020 . It is perfect for the beginners . Welcome to Jeremy Shafer's origami channel , beginners !
It's really easy. All you do is put in the description a series of lines: 0:00 - 3:00 Chapter 1 3:50 - 4:26 Chapter 2 4:35 - 11:15 Chapter 3... and so on. It's important to start it all with 0:00 or else I think it won't even register that you are doing chapters.
Thank you so much. All the other tutorials don't have a person speaking over it, so I find it really difficult to follow along. This was so much easier
I don't know either, I would assume amazon but they are too expensive for me, you can see the company when he shows the bag, but for most creation most square papers would work
Jeremy your origamis are the best some are ridiculous some are for fun like origami scissors and... Wait a second origami scissors?! It doesn't even cut paper wait where was I yes origami nail cutter that cant even cut nails I am not saying there no use for them they're bad no I like your tutorials a lot and I kinda wait for your tutorials too.
The difference is the folding sequence starting at 3:33 .... Folding in half and then folding the lower right corner and then covering it up. It provides a clear step-by- step method instead of just saying, "Make all the folds at the same time."
Sorry for mispronouncing your name. Not completely seamless? What, because you can open the flaps? When the two cubes are sliding, they are pretty-well connected, and you don't really notice the flaps. It's only when the two cubes are apart that you might notice the flaps. On your version when the two cubes are apart, you definitely notice the hook flaps.
@@jeremyshaferorigami No problem, just make sure to pronounce it properly if you need to again! I hope you updated the link in the description of your video, as I uploaded a remake of my version. I will agree, your version is amazing! And yes, you do notice the hook flaps. It is based on Jo’s version of a seamless cube, where getting points are impossible. For your sliding cubes theres nothing to hold it back, and I can pull it apart fully. But, that is still really great! I’m not arguing that my version is better, I was just trying to give my opinion on it. Thanks for letting me know!
I don't think you've ever did a precision blooper lol. Also, this isn't really an easier method because of having to make some of the creases while in a 3d shape. But this method does follow a similar process to other extremely intricate models like the ryujin 3.5 (precrease most of the pattern then collapse while making the rest of the pattern. Other people may disagree with me but this is how I see this model's process and the ryujin 3.5's) unlike the other one (the only difference here is because there is only 1 section that needs more precreasing, this is done in the beginning of collapsing whereas in the ryujin 3.5, you're doing that in more sections (ex. feet and head). The sections are done at various time of collapsing.) I would call this method a more efficient one because this method eliminates having to fold up the paper into a small 2x2 square just to make one crease that may not even end up on grid points when you completely unfold it.
Hey Dex! Thank you for the comment. I left the precision blooper in because I wanted to demonstrate to novice folders the difference between exact and not exact.
I can't believe you are drawing a comparison between the seamless cube and the Ryujin 3.5! My thought is that perhaps you are so completely engrossed in folding the Ryujin that you can't help but see everything in terms of the Ryujin. That corn on the cob has fewer kernels than the Ryujin has scales and it's a lot easier to eat. I bet your last homework assignment was so much easier than the Ryujin, but you didn't score as high on it as you would because you were so intensely folding the Ryujin, am I right? My new method of folding the seamless cube is easier because the precreases are done the same on all sides of the square, so it doesn't matter how the paper is oriented. The collapsing starts with two simple valley folds, and then there is a clear step-by-step progression that is easy to follow as opposed to the old method where I say to collapse all 3 points together. That spot confused a lot of people, so I broke it down into several easier steps.
WOW THIS IS WAY BETTER
thank you for pinning my comment jeremy sir
