I watched both this and the redo several times, stopping the video several times so I could follow. I found it to be very clear if you pay attention and go slow. I think the original makes more sense and is in a way easier, once you grasp the concept. Thanks
It might be a bit late to say “thank you”, but anyway, there you go: thank you 😉. A few years ago, when I did’t think anybody ever cared if I liked a video or not, I bought the “Origami for the Connoisseur” due to you. A few years later, I have to restart the fight - namely to try and remember the models-I had only begun to fold them then, but gave up due to various reasons (including a bike accident => left clavicle was broken). Now I have a better fitness level, a more productive garden but, technically speaking, lower IQ and less origami memory - not that I had much back then. Anyway, thank you. Hopefully, my memory will work better this time.
This is an excellent video. I haven’t done much origami, and I was able to do this on the first try (pausing the video a lot). The last part is a little tricky the first time, and some may find Jeremy’s “Redo” video a little easier to follow. Nice job, Jeremy, and thanks for doing this.
I did really good in till the end so i gave up on following the tutorial and tried to finish it by myself. It didnt look like yours but i made a cube and thats all that matters
@SHADOW_MIA You just need to play the video in slow motion or replay that part a few times and you'll probably be able to do it. Or simply just watch the redo.
This is a very good tutorial.and to all you people saying that this was hard it was not so maybe, u just suck at origami and need to practice more.thank you for uploading this video helped me a lot. :)
Another great vid Jeremy! I was wondering if you could put the links from your annotations in the video in the description as well please, because people using mobile devices don't have annotation support.
Ok I did for this video but I don't think I'll be going through all 300 of my videos adding the links into the descriptions. If you do a search for seamless origami octahedron you should be able to find it.
I think I remember reading one of your origami books, and there was a pattern for a "rock" or "boulder" of some sort. I tried attempting to make it, giving up, crumbling my paper into a ball, when I realized what the pattern actually was...
thank you very much because i am searching on youtube how to make an origami cube but the others need many papers but this one only needs one so this is a save of paper
I also have this book, since 1992) and this winter I designed A4 cube which seems much better to me than Haga's)) it's very easy, so you can discover it by yourself)
Clean and very useful! Will also make an excellent display stand for other origami Models.... Thanks, efficient use of paper and using a larger piece of paper will make a perfect gift box, no tape, just add a bow and there you go!
I need to make tiny pair o' dice earrings to promote our roller derby team, the Pair O'Dice City Rollers (check them out!), and this method will make the neatest cubes. Thanks, Jeremy! You've always been a fave of mine! XXOO Jay
+JeremyShaferOrigami have anyone ever pointed out to you how similar this origami is to some of the things seen during a DMT trip? jaw dropping constructs of geometric shapes morphing right in front of your eyes, exactly like this origami was folded.

This cube reminds me of my childhood, I used to make this with my friends a lot ❤️

This wasn't actually as hard as I thought :) Great tutorial!

This is the best and easiest to remember as compared to other cubes that you've shown. Just my opinion

It's been 7 years?! I remember this when it was freshly released
Everything is good in till the end because its impossible to see what hes doing
I hate it
I couldn’t make it because of how he explained what doesn’t need to be explained but didn’t explain what we needed to know
I know right it is literally impossible to see what he is doing
I was able to do without sound lol
Rabah Boukhanouf not be rude but Jeremy is a talented man and you don’t have to say hate don’t be so rude!!!!

Another great vid Jeremy! I was wondering if you could put the links from your annotations in the video in the description as well please, because people using mobile devices don't have annotation support.
Ok I just did. Thanks for the idea.
Dear Jeremy Shafer can you make a album of all the songs that you have played in your origami videos and put them on your website?
Ok I did for this video but I don't think I'll be going through all 300 of my videos adding the links into the descriptions. If you do a search for seamless origami octahedron you should be able to find it.
So hard 😭
Cool and not too hard to follow. Made 4 cubes to create a perpetual calendar for my desk.
This cube is so cute ☺️thank you for sharing! I loved it
I think I remember reading one of your origami books, and there was a pattern for a "rock" or "boulder" of some sort. I tried attempting to make it, giving up, crumbling my paper into a ball, when I realized what the pattern actually was...

hey jeremy , can you make rubik's cube ?
im sure you can do it using papercraft techniques, but a rubiks cube using origami techniques is iffy.
I will try making 8 because I will make an infinity cube
+JeremyShaferOrigami have anyone ever pointed out to you how similar this origami is to some of the things seen during a DMT trip? jaw dropping constructs of geometric shapes morphing right in front of your eyes, exactly like this origami was folded.
