The Future Way to Fly? Emirates Special Fully Vaccinated Flight

- I was onboard the special Emirates EK2021 "Fully Vaccinated Flight" operated by an A380-800, registration A6-EVN, with a special decal "Choose to Vaccinate".
All passengers were tested at check-in, before being invited to use the Emirates Business Class lounge. Flight EK2021 made a journey across seven emirates, to celebrate the UAE’s progress in vaccinating its citizens and residents.
I think flight EK2021 represents a positive step towards the normality of travel. The flight illustrates the confidence and undiminished excitement for air travel. Aviation has been through an unprecedented crisis in the past 12 months, but we are now seeing some light at the end of the tunnel.

You do realize that he's getting paid to do these videos? Of course they like him if they hired him. One of the cheapest way to do advertisement - get popular youtuber and offer him a free trip. He's desired by airlines as far as he has enough subscribers. Trust me - if his videos would lose it's range... no one would even pretend to recognize him onboard.

I was on EK2021 too! Sitting in seat 53B. Unfortunately didn't get the chance to meet you in person, heh! Glad I was able to fly, this was my first A380 flight too!

You didn't mention that this was a 3hr flight but it was extended 40mins as passengers were really enjoying it ❤️
True. They took their time to serve meals as many passengers are moving around in the cabin (more on upper deck) . Enjoying to the max!

Don't worry, Emirates open new routes for the A380 every week or so. Last week : ViennaDubai, MunichDubai, MadridDubai, BarcelonaDubai and Hong KongBangkok, no less ! They are pulling all their A380s out of storage, one by one and they also have another brand new one that is making its first test flights around Hamburg, Germany this week. It bears the temporary ID F-WWAV and it not fully painted yet.

Unlikely to be this year. Next year at the earliest, before any semblance of normality returns.
Just did four flights on two airlines internationally. It worked out, but I stayed in Europe. Most countries have reopened for vaccinated people again.

Amazing Sam thanks for sharing! I’ve been on Emirates A380 2016, so looking forward to fly again on the A380 on Emirates.
Sam is the perfect guest for all the air lines..i remember a passenger was being negative about Biman whilst travelling on the same airline but clearly Biman do not have the biggest budget and Sam kind of knew its like comparing apple and a pear and so he just tried to keep the balance.
I guess it is my style. I love mingle with all nationalities. If I can make them happy then why not? Biman never pay for its review. I was invited as a guest to see how the airline with their new fleet of 787 and 777 (and a tour of its kitchen facility)

I really do hope that they won’t make this mandatory.
If you choose to travel to certain countries, you need to fulfill select criterion, like present valid passports, visa, not to bring food and vegetables and vaccination against certain pest and diseases. Or else the destination might not admit you into the country. This already goes for Australia, New Zealand and other parts of the world. There are laws and regulations. Sorry.
I hope so too. It seems like they’re forcing it against our will. We should also have right to refuse.

What's the use of being fully vaccinated if you are still wearing masks
Dont forget the yearly booster shots that the biggest vaccine manufacturer just said will be required.. lol
You realize the vaccination doesn't stop you from getting Corona it just helps lesson the symptom's and even tho everyone was tested people could still have Covid but be in that grey area where you aren't showing up in tests that you have Covid yet.
So if one person on the flight has Covid technically everyone could catch it and then transmit it to other people they come in contact with who could possibly not have the vaccination who could then get very very sick or even die its not a magic potion :)

Data has shown that you can still get coronavirus even after you're fully vaccinated, which means if you do get an infection, you could still spread it. And this year showed no indication of a recovery in demand for international air travel...
Airlines letting only vaccinated people to fly makes no sense.

I would not hesitate to fly Emirates and I am glad that you were part of this particular journey. As a side note: Masks on the cockpit crew are fantastic. They are wide and long enough and are not slipping off the nose. What are they?
