James...Livingston and I worked together often. He and Maggie (his wife) are great people. I always felt the same way about Livingston and his talent. I don't think he has ever gotten his due. Thank you for watching. I hope you will check out other interviews on my Channel. I have posted over 500. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. Blessings.....
Thanks so much for your reply Eileen. I listened a bit to Livingston in the 80's. I'm in Australia so I suppose it was a bit unusual. He didn't have a high profile here. Your video showed his songwriting/musicianship skills very well. How lucky are you to have him as a friend and neighbour..! Very envious. I will watch your other interviews on your channel. Great stuff..
Shane, I have the entire hour but so much of it will be a copyright infringement because of the music tracks that belong to James. I so appreciate your watching and commenting. Best to you.....
Ooh, I certainly understand that, Eileen. Perhaps some day it could be added to Archive.org so others can enjoy the great history contained within. :) Thank you again!
In the early 90's before the Clinton's made Martha's Vineyard too popular (and too many people started to go there)... my brother married a girl from there. They rented a very upscale home for a week that was on the water. It was like a mini compound with two homes and a dock on it. We had such an incredible time. Such a beautiful island. The view was a lot like the one Livingston had in this video. Btw, I saw livingstong at Rye Playland with my girlfriend in the early 1980's. It really was a great concert. He is as talented as his brother but he probably never sold his soul and is not as famous as James. I recall him having a great personality as well.
mrfester42 I think he is. I’ve seen him talk a couple of times and he almost works himself into an angry frenzy... maybe Bipolar. They have a lot of mental illness in the family, I have read.
Wonderful, met Livingston several times at concerts. He is a good guy.
Thanks, I grew up in Vineyard Haven-Mom gave piano lessons to James and Carly's kids.
Nice acoustic performance of "Life Is Good" by Livingston Taylor. Thanks for the upload.
Awwww
What a talented family. Liv is a delightful host here.
Wooden Boats are the Best. Livingston has a great voice. Thank you, this was fun.
Livingston has a lovely voice and as soon as you hear it you think it could be James. Nice man, too
Under rated Taylor...guitar and vocals obviously run in the family..great stuff..

Eileen! I love this so much! :D Thank you for sharing and I'm excited to see more of this, if you have it! :D

@@eileenprose8472 Any chance of avoiding the copyright infringement now :) Would make a GREAT Christmas present for your viewers, no doubt!
Makes this New England girl, homesick!
Carly is very cute!
I miss that island❤️

Cldfsn0200 Ahem, surely you are not implying that James Taylor sold his soul for fame! That man is all soul.
Sounds like James very much. Brothers.
I would like to go there before I die
It's a wonderful place.
If ever two people were meant to be together it was James & Carly. They just seemed simpatico-same temperaments, talents, features and interests.

Disagree
James Taylor although talented and charismatic was clearly undeserving of Carly Simon , furthermore he chose drugs over Carly.
Cool !
The guy of the boat in the beginning Looks like David portnoy
How do they manage there without enough services?
Hi Eileen Prose. I remember you!
The old Ocean Club, where more drugs than food found their way onto the tables.
Dave Portnoy with a beard?
A bit of clickbaiting there then,, putting Carly Simon in the thumb, and no more than a Hi!!
As reserved and shy as James is, his brother is quite the opposite and kind of manic.
mrfester42 I think he is. I’ve seen him talk a couple of times and he almost works himself into an angry frenzy... maybe Bipolar. They have a lot of mental illness in the family, I have read.
Martha Alexander Yes, mental illness is in their family. James spent time in a hospital at one time.
Faux !
I love the Taylor brothers but this was a clickbait title
He kissed... a girl?
I was at the vineyard plenty of times, thank God I never met these people. I'm not star struck. Could care less about musicians, painters or actors.
