The love and dedication Hello Games had (and still have) for No Man's Sky are what makes me very confident that LNF will be a great game. Best redemption arc in gaming history.

Reskin with RPG elements are totally fine with me. I always wanted to get into NMS but I'm just not a huge Space Explorer and I couldn't care less about the universe. But throw in Dragons, Bows, and Magic and I'll play the game endlessly.
I always hear how great NMS actually is now so I was really excited when I heard about this game. I just hope they don't sit on it for too much longer. Would love a christmas release --though it's highly doubtful, but hopefully we see it next month or in Feburary and not in another year or two.
I'm searching left and right all over youtube for more light no fire content because i'm so very hyped for this game. Survival rpg, big open planet, fantasy elements, plenty of playable races (apparently) and it's from a reliable studio that doesn't abandon their games! Of course, i hope it lives up to the hype, and i'm trying to be careful when it comes to hype thanks to 2023's terrible year (for gaming) but here's hoping!

The trailer showed a lot of features that looked fully realized, but it is a trailer. Sean will be very reserved on the state of his game except to say how hard his team is working. This is one we'll have to wait and see.
as you said about the flying, i immediately noticed that when i first saw the trailer. I at least would like them to polish up those animations a little bit becase you cant compare a flying creature to a spaceship taking off, it would look better and more natural if they add some animations steps between the motions of taking off for these winged creatures
I'm hjoping teh VR implementation is also in Light No Fire... But you bring up a good point about the ship -> mount reskin... Ships are awesome in VR, that animal movement looks like it would cause sickness in VR though.
Lets see if they learned from their past mistakes, aka the launch of NMS.
Lol😂 exploration is what kept me playing long term for over 5000 hours so much for not being great for longevity!!!

I mean this has been the way always all legends in the gaming industry did it ,best example is the Dark souls series combined and we got Elden RIng.
Hopefully base building is the same. Glitch building is the best .
I hope there's no PVP or at least if there is pvp that its an optional thing that you have to turn on. I just want to explore and see what the world has to offer without being ganked every 5 minutes.

Would be nice if they released it and it was playable, unlike no man's sky that wasn't playable until almost 2 game systems later.
In the future when they can populate this world with thousands or millions of players, then it can be called truly immersive
Your definition of Immersion is different than mine. I don't need other players in a game to feel immersed in it.
So even with alot of base systems it is the fine tuning of mechanics in game that takes alot of work. Watch Sean Murray talk about Joe danger and joe danger 2 they thought having a baseline and assets would reduce the work load and it did not. It was as hard or harder. I think I will help in ways but also they started with 3 devs on nms then grew the team to 6 then eventually 12. But with light no fire they have had 12 to 20 devs the entire time. And the scope of the game is larger then NMS. Rpg mechanics with nms exploration
honestly alot of companies do this, like gta and shit have the same engine across like rdr to gta etc.. same bethesda, from fallout to skyrim, i think even starfield is on the same engine
I would love to build with others but if it's got pvp it needs a much better balance system than ark and most definitely atlas

Light No Fire is definitely a shared world MMO.
Don’t what you just said is true nothing in this trailer represents anything to do with no man sky and this game is already been in development for as long as no man’s sky was in development so it’s not gonna be significantly faster I mean hello games already stated this game has been in development for five years. No man’s sky was in development for five years, so none of what you said there’s any relation or semblance of truth. The reason to expected soon is because the trailer seemed to show actual gameplay footage which is unusual usually trailers are 100% cinematic when developers make announcements because usually they can’t show gameplay footage, or everybody would puke all over it Further stated they don’t wanna screw up like they did with no man’s sky and start hyping at three years early which kind of hence they want to do the opposite like let us know about it when it’s ready and when they’re getting ready to release it that’s the reason you should be expecting it eminently
Why does everyone keep calling it a MMO. Even on steam it says it's a single player game with online multiplayer co-op. Clearly not being advertised as a MMO.

A port from no man sky, but medieval. Please have good combat and please have Diablo like loot tables.
Honestly, the flight is my biggest point of concern. Made for ships it looks extremely unnatural and clunkly for animals to take off and land like that.
I get the excitement for this game because I loved nms from day one and I still play it.But I am now praying this game releases in the same shape as nms so I can be annoyed for you all hyping this game..all you RUclipsers keep making videos. regurgitating the same crap over and over.after the millionth video .Good news is your killing my excitement.couldnt wait at first but now I'm like it will be released when it gets released
