Avi Kaplan, bearded white guy in the front. True bass and part of the rythmn section, kicks, high hats etc is there from the beginning 2011 through September 2017. Yes heavy announcer voice even when just talking.
Now there are a few of them, I’d REALLY like them to put out an Evolution Of.. Album! Kirstin really came into her own on the Evolution of Beyoncé, but Kevin absolutely knocks the Evolution of Rihanna out of the park! The man doesn’t breathe!!! 😳 I love them all (but the only Medley I truly love, is the 90’s one), but NOBODY can top their Evolution Of’s…
The (too rare) solos by vocal percussionist Kevin Olusola are like the cherry on top - you can hear him in Mary Did You Know and their more recent absolutely devestating rendition of Amazing Grace as well as some jaw dropping solo work on his own channel. Kind of a hidden gem of the group, similar to Avi and now Matt getting solo time. Just shows that there isn't a one-dimensional talent in the bunch. Love your reactions!

Sorry I’m late, had to get to my earbuds before catching a PTX reaction. After the Beginner’s Guide to Pentatonix, which is a fan-made video, but still good, mind catching “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” for me? I need to do another day of catching up on all reactions to that one since the last time I caught up, soon. Been needing a good cry :)
For more to really see Kirsten's amazingness, I HIGHLY recommend "Say Something," which she kills with emotion, and "Amazing Grace." She gets the climax in AG, and it gives me chills every single time. Dude, you also need to see Scott Hoying's "I Should Tell Your Momma On You," (Scott is the blond dude). It's AMAZING. I don't even want to tell you what he does so you can be surprised. But as a DJ, you'll totally appreciate it.
PTX has five of the most talented musicians on the planet. I also recommend you check out Superfruit (a Mitch Grassi and Scott Hoying side project). Feeling Myself, Hip Hop Goes Broadway (1 &2), and their Beyoncé mash-up are just a few....just always remember to watch to the very end of their videos....they have bloopers!

It must’ve been someone else I saw reacting to Elton John, probably on the same day he did Bohemian Rhapsody. So only 4 to find, 3 since you’ve seen this one ;)
I'd love to watch them create their version of a song. I know they have their new master class, but, that is more teaching others how to put a song together with the expectation that the participants will create their own song. What a great idea! Okay, you wanted names, here you go. From left to right, starting with the back row. The "problem child" is Mitch Grassi, counter tenor. He has a range of 6 octaves plus one note, and that's not counting his whistle tones. Next to Mitch we have Scott Hoying, lyric baritone (i.e. his range extends into both the tenor and the bass). Any time the bass has a solo, Scott handles the underlying bass effects. On the far right in the back we have Kirstin Maldonado (also known as Kirstie - rhymes with thirsty), mezzo soprano, but on occasion she's been known to approach Mitch's high notes. Scott and Kirstie were classmates in high school in Arlington, Texas; and Mitch was in the same school but one year behind them. They've been friends since they were 8 years old. In 2011 they wanted to compete on a television show named The Sing-Off, but the show told them they needed at least 5 members to compete so they went looking for a bass and a beatboxer, which brings us to the front row. On the left we have Avi Kaplan, lyric bass (i.e. his voice extends up into the baritone range). Avi had to leave the group in 2017 because of illness in his family, but he remains friends with them and helped them find their current bass, Matt Sallee. Also, Avi has gone on to have a very successful solo career; you should check out his RUclips channel. And on the right in the front we have Kevin Olusola, beatboxer extraordinaire, and another lyric baritone. Note: Avi is the *only* member who has left the group. Mitch and Kirstie both change their appearance frequently (hair styles and color, and Mitch's weight tends to be variable), so people sometimes think they see someone new in the group, but it's really Kirstie or Mitch.

I'd love to watch them create their version of a song. I know they have their new master class, but, that is more teaching others how to put a song together with the expectation that the participants will create their own song. What a great idea!
I just want to watch the process, not do it, though. (I have zero talent. 🥴) I hope they give us non-musicians a chance to watch that creativity, too.

Bless you
Of course he’s a problem. He seems to really enjoy going around slapping people. But we really enjoy it so…it works out for all of us.
I get a kick every time
I don't think he paused enough.
Lol agreed
It is a reaction video after all - you can watch the original any time you want.
@@lauriedaiken4426 but I like it when they pause a lot. In the original there is no pausing at all so that wouldn't be helpful.
It would be good to spell Michael Jackson's name correctly......respect!
Wow your the first person that point that mistake out to me ...I never ever noticed it crazy
You call Mitch “problem child” because you don’t simply accept your Mitch Slap. He’s amazing. Learn to cope with it lol
He stay slapping me up in these songs KML
We can't hear the transition because you keep stopping at the transition 🤔
I like you as a reactor But, you stop the video Way too much. I know you have to pause, but enough already. Sorry
nah no need I probably did get a little carried away with this one ..one thing I don't worry about is copyrights ... I already expect them lol I just don't like getting my vids blocked
@@mrelixertv It is easy to get carried away with these guys. Nothing but love too you

It's a reaction. He's supposed to talk. If you don't want talking just listen to the original.
