Your appreciation was so much fun to watch! They have quite a few Evolution Of medleys, though I'm not sure if the other artists are as much your thing as Michael Jackson. The Evolution of Music, Beyoncé, Rihanna and Ariana Grande (the latter two with Matt) are all excellent. There's also an Evolution of 'N Sync and I'm sure I must be missing more. These are all done live and in one take. The studio where they recorded them said none took more than four attempts and two of those were generally just them wanting to try different things to see if it hit better. There's also a professional video of them singing this one live in concert if you ever want to revisit it. It's the Popsprings concert where MTV shot their whole set - 3 originals and the Evolution of MJ.

This was their first Grammy win. They won 3 Grammys in their earlier years with Avi. I love that you felt and appreciated the foundation of the band which is the rhythm section. The basso profundo Avi (pronounced Ah-Vee) Kaplan was the original bass for the band and Kevin Olusola is the (beatboxer). This is my favourite of their evolution videos, but they're all terrific. PTX is in their element in these no-frills, one-take arrangements. I recommend you check out all the others, and don't miss their cover of Kiiara's "Gold." You will appreciate the genius of their upgrade if you listen to the original first. Insanity ensues ...PTX is so sickly talented, they are simply the best at what they do, their are other good ones out there but PTX rules them all. Try "Can You fell the Love tonight" Sounds like an entire choir.
With PTX there is no such thing as a bad song, so a random selection of songs that interest you will absolutely work for reactions. Pentaholics will usually suggest songs in groups/bunches, based on a reactors perceived interests or the “standard” introductory songs. This is generally in the second or third group of suggestions, so you just skipped in line. 😏 No big deal. All the songs will eventually be requested, so do them in whatever order you please.
They do 21 songs in this evolution I believe...and they do quite a few of these types of evolution mashups, which they're killer at. It is fun to watch people react to PTX the first few times, it takes the brain a few dozen times to believe that what your hearing is really just 5 people's voices and amazing amounts of talent!
