All of those were viable choices! But ultimately I think you made a good choice because you followed your instinct in that moment. On another day you could easily come back and try one of the other scenes. This year I really want to return the same scenes I’ve done but revisit other angles, times of day etc.
Thanks for sharing and I knew it was a good subject to sketch. I love seeing nature against man made things. It always shows that with time Nature can and will claim something back. Got may Kaweco ALSport in yesterday and love that pen, I decided to treat myself to a more expensive pen that is not plastic. Got some new ink coming in Sketch INK because my Noodlers bad black waterproof just seems to run a little. Now since I have been trying to sketch everyday I had one last night were I was tired and said I just don't have anything to sketch. Then my wife was reading an article for a few minutes before we went to sleep and I sketched her real quick. It surprised me and I did it fast. It took like 5 to 7 minutes. I keep on trying to take way more time than I need, to do a sketch "Practice not perfection". I have to keep saying that in my head. Thank you so much for sharing your journey and also helping us out to find our way in the process.
there is always something around to draw, it might not be something you like, but its still something to draw
That's so true! And it's still new shapes and new colours

That sounds like a WONDERFUL sketch & also video idea! I can't wait to see how you sketch in different times of the day/points of view :)
That tree behind you looks very sketchable.
Their shapes are so inviting!

Omigosh yes. 5-7 mins sketches sound like a great thing to squeeze in when we're tired/bored/just a way to fill in time :) Thanks for stopping by!
This video was extra helpful!!! It's hard for me to find inspiration outside!
Aw thanks so much! It's getting harder with the hotter weather...
