Welcome to Episode 107, the last chapter of my Final Fantasy 7 Remake 100% PLATINUM Walkthrough. Following this guide will get you ALL trophies achievements in the shortest possible amount of time played while learning how to become great at combat in FF7R.

In Episode 107, we finally defeat Whisper Harbinger and Sephiroth to reach our ultimate goal: unlocking the Master of Fate platinum trophy. We also unlock the Hardened Veteran trophy and obtain two more manuscripts for Barret: Sharpshooter's Companion Vol. XIV and Aerith: Telluric Scriptures Vol. XIV.
It's been a long ride guys, the last 20 episodes took a lot of time, I wanted the HARD Playthrough to be as smooth as possible, so it took planning, practicing and a lot of editing. I hope the quality was up to everyone's expectations and that you enjoy this guide format.
In any case, we've got that platinum now, and we did it with style and we learned a lot about this amazing game on the way. If FF7 Remake Part 2 is as good as this one (and I have a feeling it will even be better), the only hard part is that we're going to have to wait! But once it comes out, I will be there with another Platinum walkthrough, and I hope YOU will also be there with me on this adventure ;-)

10 days before the start of Rebirth I set myself a goal as i was unable to retreve my PS4 save file. "100% Remake" 60 hours and 6 minutes later i am completed, 40 minutes before the release of Rebirth. Thank you. I dont know if you come back and check this video at all but you have made such an amazing guide and i was able to enjoy my playthrough 100x because of you.

This is how guides for combat strategies should be made. I'd finished HM before watching this but after stumbling across your first HM video I looked this one up. Fantastic stuff. I love how many different strategies are viable and this is not something I would've tried doing myself. Looking forward to seeing your videos for Part 2.

Normally I avoid any trophy that is based on a hard difficulty level, but I thought I would give this one a try since I am a big fan of the original FF7. I can honestly say that I would not have been able to complete this without your guides. Your detailed walkthroughs, materia setups, and strategies were a great help! Oddly enough, it only took me 2 tries to take down Sephiroth with your guide (I was stuck with Barrett instead of Tifa for the final fight even though Tifa used a limit burst), but it took me over 10 tries to beat Jenova and The Arsenal (including a couple of rage quits). There were a couple of guides that didn't work for me (assumed due to RNG or me not being as quick as you with the buttons), but since I have the PS5 Integrade version, the Synergy materia helped out immensely. For anyone new to this game playing on the PS5, I highly recommend you use your highest magic attack user with the Synergy materia. The bosses will melt if used properly. Besides my first ever platinum trophy, this was probably the most satisfying trophy I've ever earned. Thanks again!

Well damn. It's been a week, but now I have the platinum for this. Really hated it at first, considering what made me start watching this guide was the fact my data corrupted and I had to completely wipe everything FF7R related from my PS4 and start from scratch.
But you know, glad I watched this. It made Hard Mode soooooo much easier. Can't imagine I would have had nearly as smooth a time trying to do this on my own. Big props for making such a massive, detailed, no commentary guide to platinum. Definitely subbing to see what you end up doing next. Though as another commenter said, I wouldn't mind seeing a FFXV guide in the future.

@@JamesGuides Yeah, the guide was pretty damn efficient. There were a couple bosses I stumbled on for a bit -others I just slammed first try - but overall things progressed smoothly.

Finally finished and got the platinum. Not easy and very happy to have finished. I liked the first version of the game better because we weren't limited to raising the level of our characters and there was no hard mode. Thanks Jame for your fantastic guide even if I couldn't do most of your quick boss strategy. But it was I who was the problem. I had to play more defensively. I would never have made it to the end without your help. Thank you very much Jame :)

I´m playing the Intermission version and passed the Whispers first try with your tips (thanks for comment of how the point system work to see who goes vs Sephiroth, so I didn´t try to use Barret limit). Had some trouble with the begin of phase 2 and 3, phase 2 I got it how you intented, but phase 3 I needed to adapt to open with the aga spell and used the Tifa limit (had 3 limit relic) and finally got my platinum.

I randomly stumbled into your videos while trying to platinum the game, and i gotta say big thanks for the amazing work you put into this guide. I just got the plat even doe i messed up and instead of aerith the one that showed up was barret but still your guide for the sephy fight mainly focused on cloud so i was able to just slap both maxed magic up materia on barret and call it a day. Thanks again. I hope to use your guides for future platinums.

Finished hard mode! Messed up the harbringer fight so I had Barrett join instead of Tifa but with 3 Gotterdamerungs I was still able to make it work. Thanks!

Man what a walkthrough. Started using it for my second playthrough just because I wanted to see everything in the game this time around, but started really paying attention to the strats when we got to the shinra combat stuff that forced you into hard mode. Was honestly planning on stopping after I had finished top secrets, but figured might as well go for the plat because I doubt anything is going to be harder than that.
I really doubt I would have bothered attempting it without this guide. Great stuff and your strats are crazy. See you at the end of Intermission.

You are the GOAT man! Thank you so much for making these. I lost my PS4 saved due to the HDD dying, and I wasn't going to bother replaying the game to get everything back. Then i heard Rebirth was going to have some kind of small reward for those who beat remake.
Not sure if the reward will be just for beating the game or maybe more if you 100% it, I decided to look up a guide for the 100% (to make it much easier for me than the first time). That's when I found your videos and the rest was history. Now I'm going to finally play the Intergrade DLC and afterwards on to rebirth! Thanks again and I hope you're able to keep this stuff up.

Thanks a lot man , I gotta say that using your guide which I found when I was playing normal mode on chapter 15 or 16 . I platinum my game . Your guide is amazing but there was 4 bosses I didn’t use your way because I just couldn’t , so I end up using my own way and other builds and using my own tactics . ( hell house - jenova - arsenal - sephiroth ) I’m looking forward to start Thr episode Intermission. Thanks for everything and keep at the good work .

As for Hard mode boss strategies, I think I went a little bit overboard, I tried to include some Speedrun strategies, which work only if perfectly executed. So yeah, you did the right move by adjusting with your own tactics.
I've learned my lesson: no more Speedrun tactics unless they're really easy to reproduce ;-)

I hate myself atm. I did everything like you except not changing the limit break of Tifa from Dolphin Flurry to Somersault.
I was lucky and had the limit breaker on Tifa,& when I used it I hit two whispers that were next to each other with it, staggering both of them. Everything went fine until I met Sephiroth because when he beat me, I forking accidentally clicked "start from the first battle" so here I am now re-doing the entire whisper fights from the start to meet Sephiroth again... Regardless thanks for the guide James, for it truly saved me time when I was in a pickle

Even though I now have everything, I'll still be coming back to watch this guide. I swear it's like a tv series for gamers lol. Learning to cancel boss attacks with level 3 spells has gotten me thru hard mode pretty quickly! And that quick... I got the platinum!

I do have a few guide request ideas myself but I want to preface this by saying that if the game isn't fun for you..don't record it, even if mutliple people ask you too. Thats how you burn out and we lose something quality. Anyway..my recommendations are Final Fantasy 15, Pillars of Eternity, and Battlechasers: Nightwar. (That last one is alittle more obscure, but no really good guides of it exist that i've found)

Overall, I'm not sure I really enjoyed Hard Mode. With the lack of MP restoration and items being disabled, it felt more like a "challenge run" than an actual harder difficulty that is an organic step after beating Normal, and it seemed like extremely precise strategies like in this guide were the norm, the requirement, rather than an "easy" way to get through it. So many enemies can just chunk your HP down to nothing with ordinary, untelegraphed attacks, and the AI is not nearly intelligent enough to find its own way in situations where you're struggling to survive on your own character. Mako Explosion on Specimen is a great example, where you have milliseconds to wrangle three unruly characters into a corner or just be absolutely levelled. I'm hoping that Rebirth's hard mode is more consciously tuned to be a fun experience. I'm a Souls enjoyer, I'm no stranger to tough games, but this one really didn't work for me.

Well, I finally managed to get my Platinum, and the chapter 18 fights went surprisingly smoothly! A couple panic points (Aerith not having the ATB for Ray of Judgement was the biggest one) but it clutched through in the end. I actually found Sephiroth easier this time than the first, oddly enough.
I followed this guide from start to finish, and I have to admit it's a really impressive work that worked out for me, albeit not without frustrations. If I had a criticism, it's that I found a lot of your late-game and hard mode strategies to be quite brittle. Not a lot of defensive investment, very little sustain (particularly once MP becomes a major limiting factor in Hard,) and if something goes wrong there's little guidance as to how to get back on course. On a few fights, I even found occasions where the AI didn't seem to perform as expected (the Ghoul in chapter 11 comes to mind first), which felt really annoying.
That said, I don't want to sound like an ingrate. I have a Platinum trophy that I certainly wouldn't have even attempted (and absolutely wouldn't have been able to get even if I did attempt it) without your guidance. The level of detail, depth of presentation, and positive attitude were all wonderful to see, and my experience with this game was so much better because of it. Thank you so much for the work you did here, it was invaluable and I appreciate immensely.

So what is the secret behind Disorder, it gets used alot here.
It's very underrated. When you hit an enemy with Disorder it restores 1/4 ATB. So it only costs 3/4th of an ATB. It also has the shortest animation of all skills, so we can pretty much spam it to do great damage and also trigger a lot of ATB Assist to feed ATB to the party.

The only thing at the final battle I got Aerith then Barret not Tifa and I did follow the guide exactly (maybe because I healed couple of times using Barret!?)
Anyway I managed beating Sephiroth without Tifa hehe not sure how I did it.
Did you use Tifa's Limit break during the Whisper Harbinger fight ?

@@Viper753Q8 Ok, then you must have really healed too much with Barret. It's a point system, the more you do with a character, the more chance he'll show up in the Sephiroth fight. Killing blow on Whisper Harbinger gives most points by far, using Limit Break also gives a lot of points. And then the rest adds up ;-) Anyway, glad you managed to beat Sephiroth with Barret intead of Tifa, the most important part of the strategy was to have Aerith show up first.

Great content man sorry didn't watch it all as I already platinumed this game but I'm here to say that I appreciate content like this and I would like to see the best of it and you my friend are offering such a degree of quality that some other content creators out there are not even reaching the tip of it and considering this is your first walkthrough that alone is a reason to be mesmerised .
as for future content I would like you to stay in your range of games and never overachieve anything like making two or three walkthroughs at the same time unless you have alot of time to spare and to take care of yourself as you do so , and for future games it doesn't matter for me but if you want audience I believe that you should go for the freshest most popular games in the market (if you are interested in the souls genre cuz I would really like a good demon souls walkthrough ☞￣ᴥ￣☞) people tend to watch walkthroughs of harder games too or games with so much choices you get the jest , anyway best of wishes .

Probably useful for people who use items. If they use too many on the first fights they end up with not enough items left so they prefer restarting it all
