As a retiree that has driven 2wd trucks for the last 22 years, a street truck like this makes more sense than any of the trail ready trucks found on local lots. I would prefer an extended cab version to assist me in pursuing my hobbies. Make have to have a few tweaks to make it a year round driver here in Iowa. And this truck would align with my ‘69 Nova!

If the Earth was truly over heating, they would have stopped making petrol cars in the 20th Century (1975). From that point on, it has All been Government dictated and mandated. Yes, you can buy a "Super Dupor Snake SS Demon Hemi Coyote LS", but that's not an option for 98% of the people. *not that I wouldn't...of course. But I could spend $25,000 on something truly special from "The good ole' Days". I'm Gen-X and I was raised knowing almost every make and model, but truly these new ones just don't have "the stuff". 400-450 HP used to mean big business. 0-60 in 5.5 seconds was kicking some ass. Now, look. Fuckin' golf carts with 450 hp twin turbos + supercharger and spare tired, and lastly, the overly massive "infotainment" display in the center.

Luckily I'm retired now and only have 83 thousand miles on it. So if I never wreck it i should have it until i die as i only drive it a few miles a week. Don't get me wrong the corvette Zo6 is my dream car. But that's where all there work goes everything else is thrown to the way side. The main thing about the 454 SS was that it is a truck that can still be used as a truck. The main issue with the other SS trucks is that they lost a bit of their "truckiness" if that's even a word, but you know what I mean. The cargo/towing cap is lowered a bit. But I know, I know, you don't typically buy a performance street truck to haul heavy loads.
Or, they could simply put the 6.0L in a 2 door, or even an extended cab and trim it out in a nicer, upper level trim. Maybe GMC could have one like that.

And for us GMC guys, could we see something like this as a next gen Syclone but since it’s a full-size beef it up with something deadlier than a Syclone, like a hurricane?
Love this Silverado all the way and would love to see one in my driveway.

Yes!!!!!, I did and would....Whether it is a Ford, Chevy or Ram. Regular cab/short boxes will always be bad a$$. I have 2 Ford SWB's, a 1997 and a 2019, it's the 2019 that garners all the attention because there so rare. Ford is the last manufacture that still offers any engine or trim level option combination for a SWB truck. In February 2020 (pre-covid) I walked into my local Ford dealer ."I will by a truck, at invoice if you sale me what I want". Regular cab, short box, with a V8 ! I did'nt care about trim, color, 2 or 4wd. You'd have thought I just asked for the salesman first born.....Living in the DFW (Texas) they had to do a 500 mile radius search of all the Ford dealers and found me one on the boarder in Eagle Pass (TX).....btw I paid 29k, because no one wanted it.They swapped the dealer for a Ford Fusion, as they did'nt have truck on there lot that was that cheap.
Truth is very few folks would ever buy one. Thats why even "plain jane" swb trucks are hard to find..
Unfortunately, reality is what someone commented below:
"I would buy a 4 door version of this. Times have changed and as long as you can fit a couple kids in it the wife would probably approve 👍out a

    Diehard Chevy guy here,
I’ve owned over 15 Chevy cars and trucks, but recently I can say I’ve been disappointed more than excited with GMs latest generations of pick ups. We’ve all been waiting for a street pick up more than a off road package. I’d say keep the ZR2 around to please the off road enthusiasts, but bring something street for us who loved the SS Silverado, 454SS, GMC cyclone etc. We have not seen anything that can actually compete vs the TRX or Raptor R. It’s disappointing..

That's an $80k Plus truck All Day Long. The go Fast/Stop Short parts alone would be in the 50k range, then add in the truck itself, and the suspension needed to keep it straight, then add in the hood and all of the aero-gear on the front and sides, and you've got an $80k package, if not more.

absolutely I would buy one GM please for the love of God bring the single cab back to America this beauty here and the single cab rst we need here in America it sucks that we don't have the option to buy this truck I just bought a new Silverado and it took me the better part of about 4 months to purchase a single cab 20-22 Silverado because they're so scarce I understand that double cabs and Crew cabs maybe more popular but we should have this option in the states they would definitely sell please bring the single cab short box back to stay and produce this sport truck you won't regret it
