i think the amount of magic a pony has can affect their lifespan, it explains alicorn immortality. and considering granny smith's granddaughter is an element bearer , she could have a large amount of earth pony magic. considering earth pony magic is passive until g5 this could be where some of said magic gets used.
poundcake an pumpkincake were only a month old and they can already understand a few things even saying pinkiepies name, but in sweetiebells flashback to her fifth birthday, she looks like a baby but a tad older.
I don't want to disprove your theory. I want to add, to It. We may have a way to deduce the age of the Mane 6 at the end of "The Last Problem". The Key is in the twins Pumpkin and Pound Cake. We know at the Mane 6 are adults or at least young adults at the begining of the series. Living on their own and having their own bussines and legal age to work. So we can deduce they are 18 to 21 years old each. I guess we could do a whole video about it, but my estimations is that they spent 7 to 9 years, between the first episode and the Twilight's Coronation as princess of Equestria, leaving the, between the ages of 25 and 30. Finally we know the Cake Twins appear as adult ponies, in the the last segment of the "The Last Problem" meaning they are around 18 to 21 one years at least and possibly(but not Probably) even 30 years . Meaning that at the end the Mane 6 could be betwen 46 at the youngest at 60 to the oldest. My estimations is 50 to 55 as most probable. So we also have an idea at when and how the elder ponies look like between 50 and 60 years old. Hope you find this observation interesting.
yes, its have sense. We also have to add the fact that, for example, Twilight's parents look very young, even though their son is about 30 years old, Twilight may be just a few years younger. They don't have any wrinkles or anything that would indicate that they are around 60 years old (I'm talking specifically about season 7 because that's the latest when we see them) So if Shining Armor in season 7 is definitely about 30 years old (Twilight is definitely about 25, and in the flashbacks we see him clearly older, so the age difference must be about 5 years), their parents must be in the last phase of relative youth - 50/55 years old. Because to become their parents, they had to be at least 18 years old, and judging by the fact that they were probably from a higher social class, they were probably over 20. If mane 6 were about 40 years old in the last episode, Twilight Velvet would look like Rarity from the epilogue in season 7. This leads to the conclusion that: An 18-year-old pony looks like an adult This adulthood and lack of wrinkles lasts until about 55 years of age. At the age of 60 we see aging, and a pony that looks like Granny Smith is probably at least 70 or even 80 or older. Of course ex. Pinkie's parents look a little older than Twi's, but that can be explained by the fact that they became parents at a later age.
I love your video. And you know what I would like you to talk about? A theory video about Discord’s origins. I think it would be perfect for your channel. Please think about it. Also rest in peace Bright Mac and Pear Butter “Buttercup”. We miss you.
It's funny as little foals how their iris shows but not their sclerae or pupils, but that does not appear to be the case for Flurry Heart. I'm not sure Granny Smith has been around for hundreds of years. I'm pretty sure that Ponyville has been around for 75 years or so. Growth is usually affected by metabolism, but that's a lot to delve into.
Outstanding detective work! However, are we certain that Ponyville is centuries old? We know that it was founded hundreds of moons ago when Granny was a young mare, but is a moon closer to a year or a month?
@@doc_anubis I made an edit to my previous post. Yeah, Ponyville was founded "hundreds of moons ago", but I tend to think that a moon is closer to a month than to a year. Right in the first two FiM episodes, what we are told is that Nightmare Moon was banished 1000 YEARS (not moons) ago.
Honestly, I dont have an answer for you exactly because we dont know how long a moon is, there have been many theories, but no convincing definitive answer
@@doc_anubis Sounds like another research project. I had hoped that there would be some helpful information about moons in the Story of the Seasons expansion for the MLP Roleplaying Game, but no such luck!
@@otaku-sempai2197 I always thought a moon was a year due to Winter Wishday. At the beginning of the special, Sunny is singing a Wishday rendition of "We wish you a Merry Christmas" and at the end of the song, she replaces Happy New Year with Happy New Moon. But now I don't know!
Welp this was a nice video. We have to remember that ponies of the all tribes have a certain magic. So maybe that magic helps them live longer after they are 18. Hell, twilight velvet looks the youngest among all the moms of the Mane six and she holds a grandma title due to flurry. She if she did not have wrinkles and be a granny, that might mean that the more magic rich born ponies age even slower. pinkie's mom looked the oldest for example and so did her dad while Night light looked fairly young. Who knows how ponies truly age? maybe there's a bigger reason or just animation errors. Still a good video. And alicorns are immortal that makes our dear Opaline the oldest Alicorn we currently have and Discord is immortal but he might be even deathless like Marcelin's dad from Adventure time
Discord can't die since he's a concept. That's why he couldn't kill his girlfriend after she turned evil. She was also a living concept. He lets himself age, but he could change it back at any second
@@DogDogGodFog yes, that's the simplest and most sensible answer or the answer may be elsewhere: these ponies work on a farm and therefore may look older. Just like with us, just look at the mid-20th century and what people looked like after hard work. It may be similar with ponies.

Alicorn aging is still a mystery because we barely have any precedence for it. We know a bit that alicorns reach the adulthood stage slower from the Journal of the Two Sisters, where Celestia and Luna take way longer to get their cutie marks than normal ponies, but thats basically all we know
@@doc_anubis When Luna got returned from her nightmare moon form she looked about the age of Cadance but in a short time she got bigger and got her wavy mane. Cadance should be about the same age as shining armor so maybe an alicorn needs to be at least 50 years old to get that big and get the special wavy mane. Twilight at the end of the show got the size and mane. we do not know the time skip but at least 30 years easily passed
The comics explain the wavy mane in a different way, she gets that after getting over her insecurities and guilt, so it seems to be more of a sign of mental maturity
What would happen if the ponies had something to restore their youths atleast temporarily for ponies like Starswirl, Mistmane and the Golden Horseshoe gals?
I do like your Theory about this Pony Age Doc. I actually hope that Twilight Sparkle is still Alive somewhere in G5. Even though we don't have any official answers from the G5 Writers or Hasbro Themselves about that. We kind of do from the Director of the G5 Movie. I'm not sure if Pinkie, Rarity, AJ, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash are still Alive. Because they're not immoral. Twilight Sparkle is a Alicorn, so she could be Immoral like Discord. I know the G5 Writers are using her as References in Tell Your Tale Season 2 Now. Who knows, maybe Twilight could be in the Alicorn Kingdom Skyros. I will wait and see if that could be the case.

Speaking of aging, Why do you think Princess Cadence choose to marry Shining armor since the sad truth is she's going to outlive him?
There is a comic about that, look up my videos on the Neigh Anything comic storyline
idc if it's sad, it will happen
By that logic, you should ask everyone who married why they married at all. Because they all has a chance to outlive the other regardless.

I'm glad there was two people out there who like doing this keep up the work this is incredible
Now for the real question:
How does aging work for the human Celestia and Luna when their pony counterparts have been alive for a thousand years?
The Equestria girls stuff is something even I cant explain smh
They reincarnate through the ages!
Maybe in EQG they're just regular people, not gods.
Maybe it's just that the elderly stage lasts a long time.
