with the whole 'eat the first tank shot before blinking" I noticed parting would blink a single stalker into range to take that shot, then blink the rest of the boys.
Was just thinking about feeling out this style after watching Parting, then this. Love this video. ...but lets be honest we all love your hair even more.
Does anyone know why on a Core before Nexus build you get the pylon before resuming probe production? I've tried it a couple times and a 21 pylon seems to finish on time for the adept.
So, I have a couple of questions. 1) If I have a healthy stalker count, can I add some zealots to tank some tanks shot? 2) Also If terran plays cloaked banshees, I really need the second observer. I believe Parting did the second one, but I have no clue how to find gas for it
1. When should the probe being sent to scout? I send the pylon probe to scout, but does it cut too much minerals from doing this build? 2. What can the observer scout that I should stay defensive rather then aggressive? My guess would be a super delayed factory as it may mean a 3 rax push and by the time I'm there they have stim and shields, may be +1. I could be wrong about that, but may be other info the observer can pick. 3. I'm used to using the stalkers to delay the initial Terran push so that I have enough at home to deal with it, and having some spotter observers to see it all. In this build there is a single observer made straight into a prism, I feel a little bit blind this way. Will the pressure make them commit everything into defending, be it cloacked banshees, libs, and the other stuff the observer might spot and won't in this case?
Why is the twightlight built so it finished at 3m05s if blink is researched at 3m28s? Is there any scouting information that could change the plan to charge at 3m05s or something?
Hey Harstem, not a tactic, but could you set-up a high level/pro match, where both players have full map vision? I'm not sure if it's technically possible, but would be interesting to see everything countered both ways before even played.
Thank you Harstem, I was just today looking for a good TvP build. Time to get some revenge for all the terran allin's 😆. I really like the way in which you are explaining buildorders and other stuff. Keep going
Can we still hit that timing? Or has something changed? Because I have been practicing this build for a week or so and I can't seem to get the same amount of units and an expansion that early. Im usually around the 550 mark..... I am Gold in NA though. That could have something to do with it lol
Question: are cloaked banshees possible at the timing of the attack, and if so, what do you do? What's the game plan? (Let's say observer died against the scan) Obviously you'd want to keep it alive and kill the banshee and win, but what if... Thanks for your time, much appreciated, guides are really helping climb the ladder :)
Think the earliest banshee timing is like ~510 with cloak so yeah. Prob just one tho. Parting got a battery at exposed bases and made some observers to stay at home. This happened in one of his games with maru and he took a good bit of damage but he really didnt need to
Whats the terran counter to this, and isn´t it quite hard to scout? Is terran just supposed to have 2 early tanks, positioned excactly far enough away so you cant blink up the ledge and kill the tank immediately, or blink on top of it on natural?
I had some success with this but here's the thing: Some Terrans do a huge worker pull and with just an additional ~8 marines they kill all stalkers in no time. Obviously you can't do individual-blink-micro because scvs are almost as fast as stalkers and get to attack or even a surround quickly. So with a full blink followed by stutterstep I kill lots of workers but I'm still behind since stalkers are so expensive. I had games where I lost 10 stalkers for 20 SCVs and 10 marines, Terran drops 4 mules and kills me 2 minutes later since I have almost no units and they don't care if 20 workers died. So what's the plan if they pull the boys? Just bail?
This build has gotten me from never playing before to gold 1. But now the Terrans are just lifting off and base trading me to death. Also, we are so bad that my opponent will mine drop me way after 4:00 so I'm caught off guard. Any suggestions?
You can always utilize the recall ability. Cancel your third, build 2-3 shield batteries to your natural or main if you somehow have to give up your natural as well (make sure to pull probes away) and don't suicide single units into the Terran army. Against late (mine) drops you have 3 stalkers at home. Pull your probes away, clear stuff with your stalkers and send probes back to mining. If it's a marine drop and your stalkers are out of position, warp in more units at home to deal with it and attack with your main army. Keep in mind if he's dropping you, he's going to have less stuff at home to defend your attack with. Hope it helps
@@ximbabwe0228 As soon as possible. Sometimes the Terran doesn't drop at all. Those 3 stalkers are left home just in case he does. If you wait for too long you'll push ain't gonna achieve anything.
@@ximbabwe0228 Just to mention I'm not a GM, but only a 3.3k Protoss player, who hasn't played enough so there might be some flaws in my theory even though I don't think so. Also if you'd like to play a few games I've got nothing better to do right now.

such a strong build! as a terran player, i'd love to know what you think the strongest response is upon scouting this build (the early robo + twilight gives it away, i guess?).
I've been playing this build since Parting came back to sc2 as he's been playing this style for much longer than it's been popular, so here's my input if it helps: Scouting: The amount of gateways before 3rd base is the real giveaway for this build. Normally a protoss will get 3 gateways if they're playing safe, 2 is pretty standard for macro game, but 4 means they want to put on some pressure! the twilight is standard timing, and the robo isn't much quicker than a standard opener (although getting it before extra gates is non standard). In terms of response: tanks are very important, and bunkers on the high ground. While this build *can* transition, when it does so you can see it's behind in many ways (tech is delayed, 3rd base is delayed, upgrades are delayed). Nesting tanks far back in your main base is really important as well, as tank count snowballs verses this build, the more tanks you get the less room there is for stalkers to move around without taking shots, and tank shots snowball on blink stalkers. So get tanks and nest them far back in your main, get AT LEAST 1 bunker on the high ground. You need a method of picking off observers, best way for this is either to save scans for it if you're good at seeing them, or just get a raven (has utility in a transition as it's going to be great against the colossus followup). You want to delay as long as possible against this build to allow your tank count to keep climbing, as once you have 3-4 with a good bio count it's very hard for the protoss to get anything done, and they'll likely have to transition. In terms of transitioning out of this: The protoss will almost always have to go into blink collossus off the back of this, as anything else should kind of die to a tank push, zealot count would be too low, storm too delayed, and +1 armour isn't coming anytime soon: So colossus will be the safe followup. Personally the thing I hate to play against when I'm playing this style is mass tanks TY style: If you watch TY vs Parting (I think game 4 or 5?) TY goes up to 10-11 tanks with bio and it's a style which is really hard to play against with stalker colossus, as the protoss has no real way of trading without taking massive tank hits, and TY just slowly expands everywhere and eventually suffocates Parting. Now Parting also made mistakes in this one, by not transitioning earlier into tempest, but if you play TYs double factory tank style then you can easily add on vikings, or even a couple of Thors if they're being too greedy with the air transition. As a Terran, once you hold this don't be too rushed to end the game or expand tonnes, the protoss set themselves back a lot from this so you can take a nice slow game with good tank production, expanding when you can, and getting good upgrades, and then you should be able to enter the midgame equal to the protoss, but with a vastly superior unit composition. Hope that helps :)
Tim Lewis what do u think about hiding some gates if you plan a push? I usually do that every time weather I’m all inning or just pressure but I don’t actually know if it’s good or not.
@@sakarasomapa Yeah you can hide the 3rd and 4th gateway if you want to. Verses good players I'm not sure it's going to matter too much, as your unit count before you push out is pretty telling (which they can check with a reaper) and the lack of a sentry is definitely a give away. You don't want to hide all your gates as you still want that hellion wall. There's a nasty build where the Terran can drop a medivac of marines in your main, while running 3 hellions into your natural which if you don't have a wall off is going to be pretty hard to not take damage from, you can scout for this by scouting a gas first (2150 gas left when 1st rax finishes), and confirm by a delayed expand and a reactor on the factory (scouted with adept shade), but still you want to be able to throw down a hellion wall if needed with some of those gates. Personally I don't bother hiding my gates, as verses good players they can get a read on this build (or some sort of pressure) just by the delayed 3rd nexus timing, the unit count before the pushout, and the early warp prism - but if you want to throw in some extra shenanigans to throw your opponent off then by all means do, we're protoss afterall so that's what we do!
Tim Lewis i do make 3 gates at home with hellion wall. If I push with 4 gates I will hide only 1 gates. If I go super all in I might hide more. I’m not playing a lot of Terran but I think they really want to know which units are coming and how many which is why I hide my gates. They wouldn’t want to make tanks against chargelot all in with some sentry and a warp prism for example. But again, if they do some harass before the push they’d usually be able to tell anyway.
@@sakarasomapa Yeah that's fair, it sounds like you're playing the hidey-gatey game pretty smart. I would guess most of your builds still have you going into adept, stalker to at least deny reaper scouting? Most standard builds will have the protoss starting adept, stalker, stalker with a sentry as the 4th unit, or some fast robo builds will skip 3rd stalker and go straight sentry - but more or less it's pretty similar. So as the Terran I think they tend to be looking for initial reads on the tech (is there a twilight, is it researching something? If not could it be dt? Maybe theres a stargate somewhere on the map?), 3rd nexus timing (~4mins is pretty standard), gateway count, and gas timings.

Why go into Colossi and not Disruptors? A lot of the time the Terrans are going to be heavy marauder, wouldn't disruptors make more sense or are you trying to deliberately force Terran to build vikings?
Most of the time build 3-4 colossi and then disruptors is not a bad choice. Colossi are much more easier to micro and are useful against both marauders and marines anyway!
Lol you didn't know?! Since Serral's mmr 7400+ Blizzard has decided to make ladder more complicated so that bronze 3 is currently equal to diamond 2! 😂
Does anyone know the proper response when playing against 3 racks? I feel like if they have stim and combat shields this push will melt. Should I just transition into a 3rd base and get splash damage at that point or still attack.
ELEVEN Stalkers to one shot a tank?? No wonder I lose so much to a-moving my army into a terran turtle. At this point I thought the only way to beat tanks is to go airtoss, since tanks can't shoot up. I'll have to train my micro more. Thanks for this great build order!

PLZ Mode build Guides :D
Yea Love Ur wavy Hair
Veryyyyyyy nice
I know I'm 2 months late, but sniping not just tanks and the bunker but also sniping stim is more important imo.
Does anyone know the proper response when playing against 3 racks?
I feel like if they have stim and combat shields this push will melt. Should I just transition into a 3rd base and get splash damage at that point or still attack.
Nice hair!
Being an AI or an SCV in Starcraft must be horrible
Imagine being the first infestor ever to cast microbial shroud tho
i'm not sure deepmind would agree with that statement ;)
@@alexisbrin518 Starting life playing hundreds of years of PvP sounds pretty horrible.
Love your long wavy hair
Here is what's gonna happen to me, blink on top of 4 mines and then get melted.
The "Long and wavy hair" is absolutely luscious. I'm sure everyone watching this wants to have your baby.
i cant watch this replay because i just die at 2:33 lololol
STAWKER STAWKER :D
Hey Kevin, can you do a video about how to def early stim pushes from terran?
I actually do like ur new hairstyle
why is everyone mentioning specifically your "long and wavy hair" xdd its sounds so calculated
thankkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk u
ELEVEN Stalkers to one shot a tank?? No wonder I lose so much to a-moving my army into a terran turtle. At this point I thought the only way to beat tanks is to go airtoss, since tanks can't shoot up. I'll have to train my micro more. Thanks for this great build order!
nice hair m8
Noice
