it's risk vs reward, if you know you have a top 10 car every race you can risk ruining a couple races returning the favor. if you know you have to work to get into the top 10 then that risk isn't always worth it. on top of that you have to deal with the media side, if a guy retaliates it's just hard racing, if she retaliates she's just a shitty driver and we saw that all too well with Danica and Jennifer Jo Cobb when they started driving other drivers the way they were driving against them.

Hailie is great. She’s got an amazing career ahead of her, but she’s gotta get more aggressive

This series is known for rough driving and pushing each other around. it's ridiculous to fence someone for 12th place. It sucks but it may be time to start pushing back, a lot of the guys pushing you around don't have the budget to get pushed back. maybe get one or two of them back and they will show a little respect.

If you run outside the top 10 or 15 in the trucks regardless of the track, there's a good chance of diminished success by the fault of others. I think pit stops are more critical in trucks than the other series.
Exactly! I love Hailie but she’s been too nice, too long. In this series it’s roll or get rolled over. She needs to start pushing back like you say.

Impressive race! You killed that at p-6! Great racing, you were fast! Cautious, your pit crew kept ya in the fight, your truck was dialed in, almost to the checkers. Your team is awesome! You were hammering away, great driving! It’s all bubbling away, you are gonna get checkers soon, I can feel it!👍
Positives are that the pace was really good all night and truck was coming into its own in the last 30 laps, onto Charlotte, just got to keep at it you are doing the best you can atm that’s all we can ask for as fans of you, can’t help it when old guys get but hurt they are getting beat by the young up and coming stars, don’t discourage yourself and keep at the grind it will all be worth it 💪

Hailie needs to start racing other drivers they way they race her. It's the only way she'll do well in the trucks. You have to be aggressive.
Stay on the porch if you can't run with the big dogs girl. Rubbing is racing you should know that by now. Not saying she doesn't have talent, but I'll stick with watching Supercross

If anything, Matty D should've got that #24 ride but gets a crappy ride in the #25 ride but he's making the most out of it and is bringing a team that can barely make the Top 20 last year
Sadly, the truck series especially has absolutely ZERO to do with talent. It’s all about how much “funding “ you bring to the ride. Teams could care less about how much talent you bring.

In no way am I condoning Bodine's driving, just please remember that you have "old guys" as fans. I am a big fan of yours, and as you can see, I'm an "old guy". In fact, I'm sad that because of physical limitations, I won't be able to see the Sonoma race in person.

I guess you don't understand marketing, sponsorship or exposure. See that Ford logo? See that big M on the truck? They dont care ONE bit if that truck is in the 10's. They care ONLY about how many seconds that logo is on the screen, and how many clicks are on this video. Her marketing value already surpasses almost every driver in Cup racing.

She has over 100,000 more Facebook followers than Kevin Harvick, the most followed driver.. Her Tic Tok numbers (over 3 million) are probably more than the top 20 Nascar drivers combined. The only one I can even find only has 41,000. You are living in a cave if you still think you have to win races for exposure.

There's a racer here in Australia called Craig Lowndes (full time retired - but still racing enduros) who i please urge you to have a google at. Win, lose or getting wreaked he would always smile for media realizing the bigger picture to people like me who buy the products & merch that keep these shows rolling. Hallie, you are doing what you need to do. You are gaining experience, getting laps, learning to race, it’s just not getting pushed around and getting moved off your goal. Todd Bodine was and has been a wreck waiting to happen the bulk of his career. He ran well in the truck series a while back, but his driving was the exact same. Keep digging and the success will come.
