Thanks Bro! You To
It’s all about how the trailer is loaded, but sway bars would definitely help
Yeah my guess is not enough tongue weight. Looked like only bags were in the front.
This! Weight distribution!
Load more towards the front
Tires play a key role also.
Sway controls are an essential. If the trailer is a fifthwheel, then you need to make sure your tire pressures are equal and the spring bushings aren't worn.
Equalizer sway control. I have a 26' trailer and used to have a 36' camper, both bumper pulls. The equalizer sway control is the best one that I have used, make sure they are set up properly, directions are clear and easy to follow.
Is your truck a 1/2 ton
@@careycorder3126 ; Equalizer hitch and sway control is one of the best for a bumper pull trailer. It's "Reactive rather then responsive" in it's operation. They never said whether they were hauling a Bump/pull or a 5th wheel. so they're arte additional questions we can't know to ask.
@@mikerichard-FOPA3 : It better not be, you need at at least a 3/4 ton for that load.
@@mikerichard-FOPA3 no it’s a f250 or f350. Diesel.
You are being affected by the "Bow Wave" of passing vehicles due to the amount of side area on your trailer in front of the axles. As a vehicle (especially a Semi - they will eat you up) gets their nose in front of your trailer axles, their Bow Wave will start putting pressure on the front of your box trailer which will cause your tow vehicle to point toward the offending vehicle. The most critical time is when he is inline with your hitch ball. If you don't anticipate and correct, you will be steering right into his front bumper. Of course you already know that by now. But you also have to be ready for the release of the Bow Wave pressure to keep from driving into the tulips.
Weight distribution hitch will put more weight on your front truck tires giving more resistance to the Bow Wave and more authority to correct for it. A sway bar will only dampen the repeating oscillation but is not a cure all. You need both. Loading nose heavy will also help eliminate oscillation. Loading more nose heavy than you are now will give you more to "distribute" up front to the steer tires.
You still have to pay attention and DRIVE the Vehicle. Know who is passing you. And, YES, slower speeds will give you more control. Try 62-65mph. Set the cruise and relax and watch your mirrors. I pull a 26' Toy Hauler with a 900lb golf cart right inside my rear ramp/door.
Edits made it feel like Days of Thunder lol. Chase being Tom cruise Hailey being Nicole Kidman
Add a trailer sway control kit to your truck. They use them for long RV’s and this fixes the issue your having.
Adjust the trailer brakes as well to much brake or not enough can cause it to sway also. This should also help their issue
Didn't know Chase was racing until I saw him get 2nd this morning! keep grinding!!!
Towing a 32’ enclosed I find it helps with most of the weight on top of the axles helps a lot, I also have a tool box at the front of mine, I put sway bars on and that def helped, but finding the right weight distribution is the biggest thing to help with the sway, at the end of the day it’s a big trailer it will always sway a little bit with wind gusts.
Measure that the axles are squared 90 degrees to the center line of the trailer.
Hailie and Chase good luck 🤞 with racing for the week
I agree 👍
I knew Hailie calling out Chase for always forgetting things was going to result in her forgetting something 😂
sway bars, load the trailer correctly and make sure you have trailer brakes, because when it breaks loose that's the only thing that is gonna save you the trailer and what's inside.
Your race car LOOKS SO AWESOME HAILIE!! LOVEE it 🥰
Trailer sway bars 100% work. You can also adjust them with the chains if one side has more pull than the other to balance it out.
Rapidly becoming the #1 racing couple on U- tube. Keep up the good work
Had a 28’ united and with a 3/4 ton it swayed like crazy. Load handlers and sway bars helped a ton, like day and night, but the 1 ton was the ticket. Pulled it all over the US with no problem. The sway will wear your truck rear tires out, trailer tires out, etc. sway bars, load handlers.
Hope you do good, been watching the races, and was surprised Kyle Busch shows up and gets first in his heat. You guys are making me a fan of this racing.
Bro you got a girlfriend just by saying you're a fan of this racing 😂😂😂
W K, Busch has Joe B. Miller as car owner and tuner. Last year Joe B led every lap until about 7 to go in winged outlaw and his motor let go. Joe B has won many big money shows and has led many only to have bad luck, two different occasions wings broke while in lead. He was Rookie of year his first year he tried a midget at Chili Bowl, made the main!! He is a straight up great guy, Busch and he should gel well, lol.
its a great time to get into dirt racing! f you live in the US there's most likely a track within a 45 minutes drive from you. Go support the racing and local small business!
for the trailer some things that I do that help are putting the front trailer tires at 60 psi and the rear ones at 80 also make sure your hitch has enough drop to make the trailer completely level
Tulsa is amazing place for racing. I meet John Schneider earlier this year at Tulsa raceway park. I can't wait for the micro merch. I wish you the best of luck in your micro race.
Good luck all week hailie and chase.
I completely agree with you 😊
Its funny you mention trailer sway in the video. Being in the trailer industry 30 years, I seen the luggage and thought, man, that trailer will be all over the road. Get load equalizer bars and a sway control bar. The load doesn't necessarily have to be over the axles, usually 10% tongue weight is desired, so you may need more weight up front.
Really cool stuff going on there at the Tulsa shootout!. Hailie+Chase you both got your micro races down! Even though you’re both going against some experienced veteran racers. I still think you both will be one of the top competitors. Can’t wait to see the races!
Add a set of Airtabs to the rear of it. Will help with the sway and rain spray!
You got this HAILIE SO Proud OF YOU!! You are best race car 🏎 driver Ever!
She’s not tho
Looking forward to the next race. Thank you all for what you do!
sounds dumb but make sure trailer is as level as possible by adjusting hitch. I know our 34' intech had some sway before we dropped the hitch down a bit.
That moves weight forward..
@@jamesemmeneckersr.1875 yes i know.. but if you have all the weight in the front of the trailer, but tongue is riding high it doesn't matter. So something simple to check.
Hitch with sway bars! Lost a sway bar out in Glamis so I ditched both of them on my drive home! Scariest drive ever! Definitely make sure your tire pressures are about the same on both sides makes a huge difference also!
You guys rock! Awesome thanks 4 sharing!
CONGRATULATIONS 🎊🍾🎉 How exciting Hailie!!
Looking forward to the race Chase, Hallie you go get em
Love the videos keep them coming Good luck on the heat races and Elbows up and Hammer down
Omg!! Go guys!!! I got the Flow TV subscription thing and myracepass. And I was floored when Chase was racing too!! The announcers called Chase a vetren!! I felt like I knew royalty!! All the races were so amazing to watch. Hailie you are rocking it!! Chase no words!! You both are so amazing! Thank you Miller for all your hard work!! This video made me feel like I was back stage hanging with the coolest people!!! GOOD Luck tomorrow!!
Absolutely loving this micro content! So much easier to relate to when you grew up at dirt tracks!
You guys made this old timer soo happy!! The smiles you BOTH HAD after running laps said it all. Only thing that made me feel weird was when Chase had the abs out. Haven't seen my own in decades 😀 Kick this in the ass both of ya!!
It's not a fifth wheel dude
Buy a bull nose for The Trailer deflects the wind on nose works great bull nose your Trailer is flat faced a bull nose is a round fiber glass to deflects tha wind better gass and pulls better ....
Deflects the wind
@Maria Litoyo🌹 no
Make sure Tire pressure in all tires are properly inflated. Make sure the trailer is riding level.
I've noticed aswell from pulling alot of bumper trailers 25ft and up I have a 30ft now. Sway bar controls are a must. Every trailer I've driven swayed badly especially the 30 ft.
The Tulsa content is by far one of the best thing you guys have ever filmed. This is hands down and without out a doubt the best RUclips channel ever. I'm glad your having a great time racing.
right yess.
Bonk
Hailie, you looked amazing out there today! I was watching on Flo and my dad loved cheering you on! Good luck for the rest of the week and kick their asses girl!
Love the videos keep up the great work
Haley good to see y'all out there hooked up and going
Great racing and video guys!!! Yall are killing it
Looking good, good luck on you races
Can’t wait to see y’all there! Hopefully I come by the trailer at a good time to meet you, Chase, Moe and Miller!
I can't tell you how good it is to see you back in the dirt. He is showing the wing cars, you should take him to a truck race.
love the race content pretty cool chase gets to drive n have a little fun
Great work have fun you are so amazing inspiring and so proud of you 👏🏻 Hailie!
Great job Hailie and chase love the micros =)
OMG I love this vlog. So awesome racing behind the scene and all that goes on LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT
Super excited to see your race this weekend HD give them hell
Thanks for posting! I really enjoyed watching both you and Chase on the track in Tulsa. I wish you all the best this weekend and much success in the Truck Series in 2022!
I would suggest getting a camper hitch and getting sway and load bars for both sides, we have a 34 ft camper and it works perfectly
Looking good. Good luck in the heat races
Legit lessons learned.
1. Sway bars almost guaranteed to eliminate trailer sway if adjusted correctly.
2. Weight distribution must be right.
3. Trucks' suspension plays a part, too. Can't be to light. Duallys work best.
In regards to the trailer sway.. I would invest in a Weight distribution hitch Chase. Torsion sway bars. That will make huge difference if weight in trailer is already evenly setup.
Also I would go a semi truck CAT scale to see what you GCVWR is. Not sure what the specs are for your pick up truck. Tongue weight. GVWR ETC.
This is great content!
the car doesn't weight enough to get enough front trailer bias. turn the toll box side to side in the front , butt the car against it.
ya'll filling my off season race withdrawls. cant wait for the next vid drop
I second that. Lol
Love your channel hope y’all have a great Day hope y’all have a great race
Congratulations Chase on your 2nd place in non wing outlaw unfortunately that was the only race that I saw on flow racing did see other classes or any of Hallie
Great job guys love all you guys stuff God Bless
Can't wait for the race's. You guys go kick some ass!!👍👍😁😁
So great to see Chase back in competition again. Got to see his non-wing outlaw heat. He looked pretty good. Gonna grab that Flo-Racing subscription so I don't miss any of the action this weekend or any of the Chili Bowl. Best of luck to you both.
@@ScratchNSniffMyBut thanks for the heads up.
@@ScratchNSniffMyBut Thank you!! I'll try to get that as well.
@@ScratchNSniffMyBut No everything is on Flo this year
This is the top racing content out there! Love it! How about those sponsor hits! You are setting the standard! Go Team HD!
Welcome to Tulsa. Hope you all have fun while you’re here. Living within a mile or so of the track, I use to go and watch the races all of the time. However it’s been several years since I’ve went out to watch them.
Two things that always helped my race trailers...hitch bars and making sure there was sufficient tongue weight, not enough tongue weight will make the trailer sway like a dashboard hula girl. Good luck!
Weight distribution hitch is the way to go. It’ll put more weight on your front tires of the truck
If you want the trailer to stop swaying put more weight on the front of the trailer where the hitch if that doesn’t work if it’s a pick up truck try putting more weight in the bed of the truck

Loving all the Sprint stuff lately!
Amazing content!!!! I had been sitting in front of my computer hitting refresh on the Tulsa shootout twitter feed and then you posted this.
Having been to many micro races in Oklahoma and at Deming Speedway in Washington State, I recognize many, many names on the entry list. You're going to have some seriously competitive fun this week. One of these years, I'm gonna make it there.
I used to race at deming lol small world
@@TreeHarmony LMAO and I'll be soon racing there in the focus midgets probably next year
@@eXpLiiiSiT ayeee, what car # are you I might run open again this year
@@TreeHarmony "Next year" most likely meaning 2023 as I just got a raise at work so I can invest in racing finally. I have two buddies who race in the series number 71 and 41 named travis jacobson and ashley thompson. Looking at the micro's makes me want to dabble in that too but I heard from someone that even a competitive micro engine is still more expensive than a 604 lol
@@eXpLiiiSiT ahhh got you. Grats on the raise. I remember racing against Ashley when I raced at deming. Some of my buddies, chance crum, tanner and kaden Holm and Kyle Mitchell are really good drivers in open class
Why didn’t Chase and Moe pack their own bags? 😂
Glad to see Chase racing! Y’all need a second Mirco!
Love it when you Upload 😎 thank you
Dude I am excited to watch this love the vids
So excited to see how the race turns out. I am rooting for the 1Z car. Go Hailie!!!
Best of luck to both of you. I only see you getting better and better at this Hailie, and believe it will show next season in the truck racing as well. You are a champ!
Another great race vlog go hailie and chase
Awesome!! Can’t wait for the nxt one
Blue Ox sway and weight distribution system
Go Hailie and Chase. Looking forward to watching y'all run at the Tulsa Shootout.
When is it or is it allready done.
@@zacharynajera9174 Dec.28, 2021 thur Jan. 1, 2022
I would agree Blue Ox, or Equalizer Hitch systems. They're both "reactive" rather then "responsive". There are a couple others out there but not as good
It's the way u load u need more tongue weight. Our they sell anti sway bars that hook to your trailer hitch also
Watched your heats on Flo tonight! Can't wait to watch the Friday and Saturday races!
Loving the micro content guys! Great idea to race in Tulsa. Keep it coming, I can't wait to see the racing action in the next one !
Love seeing all the micro content. We don't have them up here in Canada and I love watching the races whenever I can see them. Anyone know if there is a link for this race?
I believe it is on Flo racing all weekend.
We had a 28' that we pulled with a dually fine, had to use a single wheel to pull to Florida and it swayed like crazy. The truck we used had 6 ply tires on it so we wondered if that was the cause. Luckily had the dually back by the next round 👌
All I seen was Chase got a second this morning, BADASS!! Yall lookin GOOD
Welcome to Tulsa ! Good luck to both of you!
Truly you are a inspiration to young racers out there. I love that even with your “status” and your last name you’re racing stuff like this. You’re sitting in your trailer for hours upon hours to upload your own midget! You did not fly in a private jet or monster energy jet or first class and let the boys unload the trailer sit in the truck for hours upon hours. I wish more star NASCAR racers were like this.
Luvin how much your smiling doing the dirt track stuff.its great content and makes you wanting even more after just watching 18mins lol.good luck in your guys races.go get those W's 🏁🏎🏁
Great job guys....hang in there !!
This cat L♥️VES y'all's vlogs!😺 Thanks for taking your fans along for the ride🏁😺
For the swaying the first thing is definitely weight distribution 60% of the weight in front of axle and 40% behind and also make sure the hitch is the right height not to high or low and with that car I’d put it in front of the axle not over it.
If all else fails get a sway bar for it but an f250 shouldn’t sway wit that little weight
Add more weight in the truck, add a truck cap, add Firestone air springs 80-100psi -ish, add load levelers + sway control, put all weight forward of the axles in the trailer. The truck and trailer should be level. Tires need to be proper many ply tires for towing. Check all tire pressures 100psi -ish. Make sure you have the heavy duty towing package on the truck.
Very good Vlog. Looks like a fun learning experience for Chase, Hailie, Miller, and Moe.
Great content. Hailie seems so happy and chase too. This relationship seems so healthy from these videos point of view. So cool they get to bond over racing like this. Fun to watch.
This is how it should be. Chase 100% needs a car. He’s to good to just give it up just because you race. That’s why ya’ll brought someone to help with video stuff.
Move the car as forward as you can. It will make a huge difference.
Not exactly correct, you don't want all the weight on the nose, but having the weight balanced correctly will make a difference.
Looking good... Go Hailie ! ... Go Chase !
What an amazing sound those cars make! Love this platform
keep diggung, you guys got this!
Yes sway bars weight distribution hitch and proper loaded trailer plus tire pressure really is essential. As well as proper hitch setup. A level trailer is very important.
It's a Lot Of Work!! Good Racing Hailie!!
Goodluck!!!! Tulsa looks lively and energetic!!
