Aye man new mini taco owner here and I love how happy you get after seeing your work reminds me of myself when I complete a successful mod !! Just installed a truck camper on mine and installed a new window and I got just as happy as you when I saw my work take care man and keep on posting the taco !
Here is the info on the wheels and tires I am running: Wheels are 17" from a Jeep Wrangler Tire size is 245 75R 17 I have videos showing what I had to do to run that size properly. it was not easy, but to me it was worth it 🙂👍 Good luck w/ your project
At 9:35 of the video I explain where I connected the green wire at 10:24 one can see a red wire connected to the 20amp fuse The green wire was extended w/ a red wire which is the one shown at 10:24 I hope that helps. NOTE: the fog lamps are being powered by the connection on the fuse box by the battery, the green cable is only to allow the foglamps to work when the key is turned to the on possition.
No, I did not add an extra fuse. I explain where I connected it at 9:45 I made the connection in an open location on the fuse box. There was no need to add another fuse. I also only ran two wires from the engine compartment to the cab, the green wire (which is the third wire on the plug inside) had to be extended and since it is a power/signal wire, I used a red wire to extend it. I hope that helps 👍🙂
Thanks 👍🙂 The power source inside the cab, is only to give the signal to the relay, it does not "power" the fog lamps. It is mainly so that the lights won't turn on unless the key is on the on position and if I forget to turn off the fog lamps, when I turn off the truck, the fog lamps will automatically turn off when I remove the key from ignition. The power in the eng compartment, is what is powering the fog lamps
Looks great ! I find your videos very descriptive, and interesting. I like the way you break down the install so the inexperienced people like me can follow. I gained a lot of useful information from your cruise install video as well. Thanks, and keep up the great work !
Hey I am sorry but the ones I used were a pain.... and I could not recommend them They send me a kit and it was missing a major mounting point on one of the foglamps. I contacted the seller and they finally agree to send me another kit. The second kit had a harness that the plugs did not match the foglights 😑 I ended up using the harness from the first kit and the lights from the second kit I also checked on Ebay and the item is "no longer available" from that seller.

Nice video brother! Doing mine tomorrow!!!
Excellent video and a really clean installation! Thanks for showing all the details and steps for the installation.
Thanks 👍🙂
Thanks for the video, I think the green wire by the button is to light up the button so you need to connect it to the dashboard lights
Thank you for these videos
This helps out a ton. Thanks!

What did you do with the green wire.

The red wire inside is for the power supply for the switch? Did you add a fuse to the red wire? How did you do that?
No, I did not add an extra fuse.
I explain where I connected it at 9:45
I made the connection in an open location on the fuse box.
There was no need to add another fuse.

Thank you. Your explanation helped!
Do you have a link for the kit you bought? Thanks!
Nice job! Why do you need two power sources, one in the cab and one in the engine compartment?
Thanks 👍🙂
The power source inside the cab, is only to give the signal to the relay, it does not "power" the fog lamps.
It is mainly so that the lights won't turn on unless the key is on the on position and if I forget to turn off the fog lamps, when I turn off the truck, the fog lamps will automatically turn off when I remove the key from ignition.

might want to keep a fire extinguisher inside the truck, a class C for electrical fires.
Looks great !

Thanks for the kind words
I appreciate it 🙂👍
Can you please post the link of the kit you installed?
