Hi Sven, from so many days i am waiting for this video, Excel Add-in to Boost Your Productivity. thank you i got and very clean and easily understandable videos.. thank you...
Hi Sven..Thanks for your wonderful tutorials....it's very useful and easy to do at low cost. I could not understand the excel access token etc. Can you please help me to understand how can i design the template as your is.
Hi Fernando, Thanks for the suggestion. I was thinking of implementing a button to execute Python or Jupyter Notebooks. However, with the xlwings add-in, you could already execute Python scripts. I would need more time. The tricky part is determining your Python executable path and in which environment you want to run your Python code. That said, in the next version of the toolbelt, you will be able to create a Jupyter Notebook based on your Excel selection. Meaning, you just need to highlight a cell range, and the toolbelt will create a Jupyter notebook file for you that includes a pandas dataframe based on your selection.
@@CodingIsFun Sven thanks for considering it since as you mention it has another level of complexity in terms of developing it. This would make it easier for intermediate and advanced Excel users in every way. I understand that the tool belt has 2 audiences or covers the needs of not so technical and advanced analysts and the xlwings add-in is also great but it is for the second group. An advanced user can eventually do more with the Python section and a curious intermediate user can explore new resources in a more advanced sense without leaving the toolbelt environment. So I see a very good opportunity to continue to provide benefits in both directions and the Jupyter Notebook as a 3rd option would be a spectacular all-in-one that would continue to expand the belt with more accessories. Which in turn would prevent users from cluttering the Excel ribbon with more add-ins.
@@Fernando-hr1ix Thanks. I appreciate your valuable input. I am thinking about integrating a user menu setting into the toolbelt to get things started. The user would need to input the Python interpreter path they would like to use. Of course, this path would be saved as a user setting. It would be an initial effort to set up the Python path. Is there any chance to connect with you? My email is as follows: contact@pythonandvba.com. Once I have the first version, I would like to share it with you. Once again, thanks for your thoughts.
