What an excellent tutorial, very clear, concise and to the point including tutorials. I'd forgotten some of the oarameters of BCDedit and while surfing ran across this so I thought I'd take a look and even though the tutorial isn't about my specific requirements, which involve moving drive volumes to to a raid controller, it doesn't really mater. This Tutorial earned my subscription :) Thanks!
Hi there , I don't know if you still come on youtube but I'd like to thanks you for your video . And I'd like to ask you if it is possible to make a boot loader with a version of Windows , whatever it is (just for my example) put on the 2 OS Ubuntu or a version of Linux with BCDEDIT ? I'm sorry if what I ask you is unclear , I'm not an english native :)
+Qadehar Potter You could add the ISO file of Ubuntu into the OS selection menu using EasyBCD. Than in the OS selection menu you would have your current Windows and Ubuntu also.
Thanks a lot mate. I was making dual boot with win8.1 ans win10 and I got stuck choose default OS. And I lost my main OS win8.1. I again formated 2nd partition for win10 again got same issue. Then I searched a couple of videos I didn't find any solutions. I thought may be I need to change my default OS back to normal So again inserted formate disk and hold it some place then pressed shift+F10 I got cmd prompt and I settled default os back to win8.1 and I got my main OS back. And also dual boot menu showing both option for 10 and 8.1. Thanks man

Nice video. Here is my problem. I want to get rid of this “legacy boot menu”, in a dual boot system (win 7 and Win 10). I want to have the more modern “Metro Bootloader” ONLY. How do I do that? Tried bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy standard in Win 10 Command Prompt as Administrator. But the ugly legacy menu persists. SOLUTION?
Do the opposite of what is mentioned here ► ruclips.net/video/OOOVziAkRmE/видео.html (*the newer blue OS selection menu will restart the PC if you load another OS, thus is slower)
it does not work for me. i tried this for upgraded ssd. i could not change the boot sequence from uefi either. what should i do? i received this message for bcdedit operation, "is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." so i need help!!!!!

In this case I just set another Window as default in the menu. There is a letter miss-typed in the command you wrote: IncreaseUserVa, the letter U is missing. To undo that command type this: bcdedit /deletevalue IncreaseUserVa

Hey bro, I want to talk personally with you about this. I set the Android emulator, Phoenix OS as my default Launcher. Now when I restart many times, It's just loading Phoenix OS, now can u say me how can I retain my windows without any disk or USB, please tell me, Give me your email.
If Phoenix OS has a tool to select which operating system to automatically load at startup than use that one, otherwise you will need at least a USB flash drive and try to repair the Windows OS selection menu. Here is an example ► ruclips.net/video/5h2ooN3Iobo/видео.html

Great job
Urgently! I entered this command, and if I restart the computer, everything will be erased?
It won't delete files... eventually Windows might not start if something was entered incorrectly.
It says system cannot find the file specified
