Perfect, that's a winner. Got my rocker off and new diaphragm installed in 5 mins... 5 hours to get to it, but the install from there was exactly like the video. Great product by the way, good quality.
What did you follow to remove the intake manifold? I did this repair about 5 years ago and remember the 5 hours but it was all trial and error. would love to see a guide online somewhere.
@@moonman774 same for me really. I ended up pulling front bar with radiator and condenser forward without removing and just undid the lower fuel rail and manifold bolts as they are at the front of the car. I wish I had changed the manifold for the newer two piece black manifold as I had to do the repair again after 2 years.
I just purchase #4 kit for my 08 r32. If it wasn't for that video I will still be going crazy looking for parts at different places thanks again. 👍 Main reason for this fix, there's alot of oil going from the pcv valve to the intake so car burns oil, I have to put about half a quart every 2 weeks driving it daily, I hope thats all I have to fix lol.
Major Paine I agree with you. Those 3 bolts plus the fuel rail fitting were no joke. I did the repair in the winter which meant i broke a few clips and plastic vacuum lines.
Would you advice the replacement of the rubber membrane only or would yhe whole black pcv valve assembly better be replaced? Mine must be stuck since it's using the security breather
It appears some old diaphragms might not have holes, but have stretched enough between the middle and outer parts to not be able to apply enough force to overcome the springs. I'll verify with my repair on my 2011 Cayenne 3.6.
I just did this didnt really make a video.. I took the grill/bumper cover off... 2 bolts on each side just above the headlight on the quarter panel undo those and then 8 bolts almost all the way out but not completely so the aluminum bumper front end will slide out giving you room.. didnt even have to undo the radiator hoses
Please let me know if this is good for Passat b6 limo 2007, 3.2v6 4motion .250hp fsi....you have any video how to remove the manifold please?!?thank you
My pvc diaphragm also broke and it is making miss fire when put in neutral. I have purchased the part but i need one week to put it in. Can anyone tell me how long i can drive like this miss firing state without damaging other components.
I had replaced this membrane on my oil seperator in audi s5 4.2 FSI, and high pitch whistling noise has disappeared! Old membrane was torn. Good. But, I have a question: is it OK that oil cap is pulled back when i take it away as before (when membrane was broken)? Thanks!
Don't waste your time people on this. This mamrabe is not the same as oem. I replaced it with this one and it DIDN'T FIX my vacum leak. Replaced the valve cover with oem pvc in it and all problems went away. 08 Touareg 3.6 VR6
Sounds like the diaphragm wasn't seated correctly when you got it back together. I replaced my entire valve cover due to the cover itself being cracked and the new one wasn't assembled correctly. I was getting a TON of vacuum to the crankcase. So much that i couldn't even pull the oil cap off while the engine was running. Had to take all apart again to figure out what was going on and found that the diaphragm wasn't installed/seated correctly. Re-seated it and have had no more issues
F*** me !!!! My dealership told me about this part and it is installed in my 2008 VW R32. If I knew it was that easy to fix I would have done it myself. They made it out to be heart surgery.
I just did this repair on my 2010 Porsche Cayenne V6 and the kit was excellent. Problem is now fixed and drives great! Well done.
Hi .. how is the kit after one year ? Thanks
@@smarttv5573 So far so good! :-)

What problems were you experiencing?? I have a gnarly whistle when it warms up now
@@Nathanstondez420 weird idle issues like the car couldn’t breath or something. I don’t remember the codes anymore since it’s all been fixed now.

Ahhh man that's rough. So someone people swap the silver one for the 2 piece?@@ben_hewitson_AU
@@moonman774 I believe so. The 3.2 motor is 1 piece silver and the 3.6 motor is two piece black.
Hmmm My motor is 3.6 with the 1 piece silver manifold, 2009 Q7

thank you extremely helpful. what stumped me was the 3 fuel rail bolts on the driver side on the intake, but once I got past that it a breeze

Hi, 2009 cayenne V6 with check engine light ON, fault code P12A2? Is this PCV defective?
The throttle body screw takes a 3/8 M10 socket took two weeks for it to come in from Home Depot

Where I could buy the Pcv valve I can’t find it anywhere it’s for GTI vr6 12v
damn now I find this :( I just replaced my valve car last summer and I tried looking for that part every where which they only sell with the cover
My oil pressure light came up and the engine light too... it whistled before now doesn't, will this be the culprit??
Hi when was version 4 released I bought mine at the end of last year how can I tell if its the latest?

i think is ok! How's easy to open cover to pull membrane? How's working after one mounth usage?
When replacing this do you have to use new gaskets for when you are putting back the valve cover to the manifold ?
Did you use new gaskets or the olds one seals! Thank you!
