I prefer a big arm with few turnovers rather than a suspect arm, scrambling ability and high turnover rate. Overall, I'm happy with the QB situation and with Injuries being so common, I think both guys will get regular season starts. Having two good QBs is a good problem to have.
I equate Minshew’s arm to Gannons, He’s gotta play smarter though and limit his turnovers like Gannon did to be 100% effective O’Connell still doesn’t have a full year at starter, so I’m good with him to keep improving his pocket presence as he gets more experience Whoever gives us the best chance to win should be out there at the start of the season

It's interesting, AOC's got a little Brady in him and GM's got a little Mahomes. Tough decision, neither is terrible. Looove what Bowers brings! You could tell all of the weapons are going to get utilized. It's not the best offense, but I bet it's better than last year.
I think he’s closer to Gannon’s skill set Than Mahomes O’Connell is more like Carson Palmer, he’s got to develope more killer instinct to be in Brady territory
AOC and Minshew played very well and our rookies like Bowers played good. Our starters are definitely good and ready to win...our 3rd and 4th stringers are awful so hopefully we don't have to rely on them later on
Weak depth at a few key position. Offensive tackle. (If miller can’t go who is already hurt…) Cornerback. (If jack goes down we in trouble) Linebacker. Defense is good, but a few injuries could really mess us up.

i admire aocs willingness to stand in the pocket until the last moment and take a hit to deliver a strike. sometimes it seems like its simply too long to wait and you feel like he has to be better off scrambling. i admire minshews instincts and his ability to improvise, but its going to create more chaos that inevitably leads to his receivers getting lit up and interceptions. i do think ultimately the ability to read defenses and how well you throw the ball are the most important qb skills. aoc got one drive and did a great job. the play calling at the end of his drive wasnt helping oconnels stats. im all for practicing the fade in preseason but that play has become a very low percentage play that is safer than it is effective. if they just handed it to zeus for a td, would that mean aoc performed better? not really. the play i thought was most concerning for aoc was when he rolled out and threw it on the run and it was like 10 yards shorts. i dont think he was giving up because his guy was available. the play i thought was most concerning overall was minshew scrambling and then giving that tight end a death sentence. overall i thought the offense did great.

The last QB never even got to throw a pass- and the clock/time out management was just dumb. It was very reminiscent of Josh Mcdummy still at the helm. We have a descent lead, oets just let it slip away into yet another L. That in all honesty is the part that scares me most the most. There are a lot of mistakes out there right now because Patrick Graham is using his defensive playbook now. He didn't last year because it's very complex and he didn't want the guys thinking too much. Now, he's trying to see how much they can handle.

I really don't like how Minshew left the pocket so easily and quickly. When Rich Gannon is saying he needs to stay in and climb the ladder, that is impactful. But, he's only 6 foot 1 inch and he can't see well from there. Scrambling too soon puts your tackles in very difficult situarions. Also, not a fan of the Harrison Bryant pass.

Minshew still hasn’t learned how to protect his receivers from Hospital balls. I don’t like him as the starter, period!

I think AOC will lead us into the playoffs if we get Kolton and JPJ in the lineup for week 1. If they're out then possibly a better option is Minshew.
