Such a lovely piece and a wonderful interpretation! All you youngies who are learning this keep at it! The music is so easily absorbed by the young brain. Get the piece in your fingers. Memorize it so that you can concentrate on making it musical when you play it and it just flows through your hands into the air. Take full advantage of your sponge-like brains now, the piece will be in your fingers forever. ps...I'm 59. I know of what I speak.
my sister hates this song. she said that everytime i play the piano in the morning, i always start from this song and it would always make her wake up from her peaceful dreams
At last, a truly beautiful performance of this oft massacred sonatina. Thank you Ms. Hidy for the loving attention you have accorded to each phrase and note.
Man the grace not at 00:27 really makes this piece. I was trying to study this piece without listening to a recording. Then I listened to this....and my confidence was crushed :(
Beautiful. I played this as part of my Advanced Higher music in high school (I'm from Scotland) back in 2004. Hard to believe that was sixteen years ago.
Played this as a merit piece and got full marks! It's difficult, but absolutely essential to keep a steady tempo on it. Hanon exercises help a ton, too.
First REAL thing I learned on piano years ago. Great easy transition from little 2 line nursery rhyme type songs with the cartoons on the side of the page to the real stuff.
Thank you...excellent... I am learning this now so this is very inspiring and helpful... I saw many great things on your channel... I subscribed...and shared with others... thank u
i just finished 7th grade of royal conservatory . I recommend this song to anyone whos taking the 7th grade, its fairly easy and it sounds so good (the first part). cheers :)
i'm learning this right now for a concert, if i learn it by then, but if i don't i have two other pieces to play: Three sonatinas by Beethoven and Winter Morning by Tchaivovsky This really helps me learn it, thanks for posting this! :) This is one of my favorite songs for piano! :))) Anyway, thanks!
I'm learning this song on the piano and a lot of it is pretty easy for me if I really practice it. This piece is so much fun to play!😍💗 I haven't finished it yet but I'm getting there! Sometimes I play it really fast on purpose just to see how fast I can play it😁
Im past this piece and its very easy for me, yet its so fun to play im playing it sgain and enjoying it. I just finished playing mozarts fantasie in d minor #3
There's no doubt a professional pianist breathes new life into this piece, especially the final movement. Articulating every note really makes a difference, but so hard to do :) I think student slearning the op 36 sonatinas should concentrate as much on articulation after they've grasped the technical side.
PianoPanthers I'm typing in perfect English. In British English "learnt" is the past tense of "learn" - i'm assuming you use the bastardised version of American English as you say "learned".
Damn, I'm late to the party learning this :P I'm 24 years old, first getting into concert piano now lol... I'm learning this piece as a recital piece for school. Some of you are learning this at 10 years old?! Wow, props. I'm going to assume one of two things; either you're all Japanese, or you practice a lot more effectively than I do lol (the Japanese remark, referring one line in an episode of South Park lol)
When you really put your mind to it its not that hard. I'm not gonna say it's easy because its not you just really have to be determined. I'm 12 and learning it now. and I'm not Japanese and i only practice about an hour and a half a day. just keep your mind at it and you'll get it down in no time! I'm sure you already know how to play it! It's never too late!
Having worked my way through Op.36, this spiritoso, together with the No.5 presto and the No.1 allegro and (especially!) that beautiful andante are my absolute favourites (to play AND to listen to)
These Clementi sonatinas were invaluable as a transition from the method books and little songs to the works of the masters. I will always love them.
This is pure joy! Like a child's laugh, so cheerful!

You're supposed to do that.
He, or She? The pianist Is a woman!
I'm 12 and learning this right now; it's my teacher's all-time favorite piece.
Y ahora cuántos años tienes?

@@chrisplamondon3936 Ooh, no es cringe, simplemente parece que tenías unos buenos gustos Jajaja
my is 18 now
Your recordings of the Clementi sonatinas are the best I've heard I have my students listen to them when they are learning them
This is the best interpretation I've heard of this piece. Congrats
my sister hates this song. she said that everytime i play the piano in the morning, i always start from this song and it would always make her wake up from her peaceful dreams
Good job waking up your sister XD
Since you are her alarm clock I advise that you take away/shut off her origonal alarms, and start playing at the exact moment her alarms are set XD
+Cathy Zhao lol
is you sister bigger than you or smaller?
Same!!!! I do it too 😂😂
I just finished the Spiritoso and Un poco Adagio part. Now onto Allegro.
This is my favorite piece and I love it.
This interpretation did really well in keeping the essence of Classicism.
At last, a truly beautiful performance of this oft massacred sonatina. Thank you Ms. Hidy for the loving attention you have accorded to each phrase and note.
She does play well! Most people don't understand that if they'd break their Classical-era pianofortes of they played too hard. :'(
A wonderfully musical interpretation that inspires students learning this sonatina.
This is my absolute favorite piece to play on the piano.
Yes! Hanon is so very helpful. Glad to see someone else uses his work :)
I'm playing this and this is a excellent performance bravo!👏
This is such a beautiful interpretation! So happy when listening to it! I'm much more motivated to learn this piece now at 27 years old lol. Thank u!

I'm 8
This is my favorite piece to play on the piano. Somehow it's really fun, especially starting from the 1:10 mark.
Clementi had the expertise of using alberti bass in the first movement, very so slightly and in a smooth pattern and transition between triads.
I'm learning this too. I'm still in my mom's stomach lol
shutup!

I LOVE it ! if I could one day play like this?!
thx! it really help me when i get frustrated! keep up the awesome/good work!

Same, dude
Is this the speed it's supposed to be? I like it. It's relaxing. Alot of times it sounds like people are playing it too fast and rushing.
Totally agreed.
You actually have to play at this speed when you paly this song.
I'm actually doing this song right now.

IDK why, but the part from 0:35-0:43 reminds me of Beethoven's Cavatina (op130), and from 0:46-0:53 of Mozart's symphony no 39 4th movement...
First time right hand my teacher said I got 97 percent, she says I'm advanced. And if she's right I will pass GRADE 5 in piano in 2 YEARS
